After a few minutes of walking quickly down sidewalks and past stores I arrive in front of the cafe where my mom said Harper was hit near. As I look around I spot the crime scene easily because of the massive crowd of people standing around in a hump.

     As I walk towards the crowd I see that they're all standing around police tape as the detectives look for clues and clean up the mess, so no one will ever know this happened. Well except for anyone who knew Harper and well if the killer picks another victim. The thought of that sends a shiver down my spine.

     As I reach the crowd I squeeze past people until I've managed to get to the front of the crowd. As I get to the police tape stringed up to keep people from just walking right in and potentially ruining valuable clues to help find Harper's killer I stop to look around.

     As I scan the area I don't see anything interesting past all the police officers and detectives. Why does their have to be so many of them? Anyways I think about what I would do if I were trying to hide a clue. Then it hits me.

     If I were trying to hide something I wouldn't leave it at the crime scene I'd throw it away where no one would look. So with that I start scanning around the outside of the police tape and up near the grass and the side of the road looking for anything interesting.

    As I finish scanning the area around the police tape not seeing anything interesting I scan it again and that's when I see it. A small iPhone thrown off to the side of the road. Just laying there. I quickly push my way out of the crowd and start walking towards it pretending I'm looking up at the sky and not walking straight towards the phone.
     When I finally arrive at the curb where the phone is, I look around to make sure no one's watching me before sticking my foot out and kicking the phone under my feet so no one can see it. I then crouch down and pretend to tie my shoe as I pick it up and slide it into my sweater pocket. With that I stand up and I'm gone before anyone ever knew I was there.
