Mishti:)

After Bhai left, I went to my room.. Sleep was far away, I was just rolling & tossing on the bed. After a deep session of overthinking I decided to keep myself away from Abir , keep myself restrain from his thoughts.. He is just a random guy I met in this journey and he should stay random. After this war of revenge, he would be on his way, I would be on mine.

It's better to keep a good bond with him, his existence should not bother me.. I won't quarrel with from tomorrow, I won't indulge myself into his personal, I would do every plan according to him. I won't give a chance or a situation where we would fight. I won't hurt myself anymore.

Who is he? Is he worth of my tears? No. It's a clear no. I have a long life to live, a company to run and beside that have a family with whom I want to spend some time. I spent a decade without them due to some misunderstanding, so I want to get back to a happy life. He is just a side character who would take an exit after the mission gets completed.

I pulled the duvet and slept peacefully..

Today I had nothing much to do, Adrene has messaged me in the early morning, he wanted to meet me.. I hadn't discussed anything with my brothers, so I added a pause and refused him to meet.. I said I would work late at night ..

But in reality my brothers would come to meet me at the office, it's a safe place. After all the employees leave for their respective house, they can come inside. There's a lot of ways to enter my company and I have told my security to let them.. Adrene won't be able to know about it..

I went to conference room with Jeevika. And to my surprise everyone was already present there except Abir & Ruhan.. "Hello guyss! " I greeted them and stood in front of them. Mrinal bhai was discussing something with Mivan bhai, while Maanvir bhai blinked his eyes at me, concern was clearly visible on his face.. "Let's Abir come, we will decide! " Mivan bhai said..

Just the mere mention of his name and I felt something strange. Letting out a deep long breath I made myself understand that I would behave normally, his existence won't affect me, I won't notice him.. The noise of door opening drew my attention, I snapped my head expecting it to Abir. But it's Jeevika.

Damn it, I should not care about his existence. It's the nth time I reminded myself about it, I need to threat myself. When I looked up, my gaze got rested on Mrinal bhai. His eyes were on Jeevika, his eyes followed her till she reached me.. And his expression was definitely not normal. Jeevika wasn't even coming to the front, she was hiding behind me.. I definitely noticed some discomfort between them..

And the way bhai was staring at her , it was scary. My brothers are actually scary, they totally gave the vibe of mafia. But they don't show that side to me, so it never scared me.. "Jeevika! " Mrinal bhai called and only her name from his mouth startled her.. "Can you bring a cup of coffee for me? " he asked her sweetly..

Without looking at him she gave a positive response and left the room. That's definitely something I couldn't unnotice.. "I will just come, need to use the washroom! " Bhai left, it's so obvious. She left and he left just after her.. I turned my heel to go, and my heart just came to my throat seeing Abir. He just suddenly popped up in front of my eyes, so I became startled.. His intense eyes were directly staring into my soul.

I scratched my neck and remembered my own words. I could see Maanvir bhai's gaze on me.. "Excuse me! " I left the room which just filled with tension after Abir's arrival.. I made my way to the little kitchen which was adjacent to the conference room.. I hit the door and got inside.. And as I was expecting both were present there.. Seeing me they stood at a distance..

Just before my arrival, Jeevika was standing against the slab, while bhai was caging her, keeping his both palm on the slab. I cleared my throat, "You needed a coffee or her? " I said in a teasing tone, but they both were just looking different. Mrinal bhai was looking angry while Jeevika was just scared..

Bhai left the room without responding anything to me.. I looked at Jeevika, a tear rolled down from her eye but she quickly wiped it.. "Hey! What happened? Did bhai say something to you? Tell me! You don't have to be scared of him, please don't cry and just tell me what happened? " I tried to console her, but she ran out of the kitchen..

We were gathered here to clear out an important issue, so I let Jeevika things aside for tonight. I walked into the conference hall , even though I didn't want but my eyes automatically travelled to see what Abir was doing. At that exact moment he left out a big laugh, the sound echoed in the conference hall, leaving my heart skip a beat..

I moved my gaze from him and took the main chair.. My eyes were on Mrinal bhai , he was checking his phone in every two seconds. Jeevika was nowhere to be seen. "Mishti, where is your laptop? " Mivan bhai asked, "That's actually in my chamber ! " I informed him. "We will come in two minutes! " Both Maanvir bhai and Mivan bhai left..

"Excuse me! " Mrinal bhai left too, my eyes travelled to his phone and I saw Jeevika calling him.. "Nature calling! " Ruhan too left. Now I was all alone with Abir, suddenly the atmosphere changed . "Would it be a problem if I open the terrace glass ? " he asked me in a gentle way, what a sudden change in his tone.. I gave a node and again moved my gaze to my phone screen..

"Hey darling! "

I became startled, two hands wrapped around my shoulders from behind, I got an irritating sensation when I felt someone's cheek brushing against my cheek.. As soon as the voice hit my ear, I knew it's Adrene. Abir was standing just in front of me, in the terrace. He quickly hid beside the door..

"Oh My God, what a pleasant surprise Adrene! " I held his hand and stood up at a safe distance.. This guy had the audacity to touch me? How on this fucking earth he just came and back hugged me like that.. I couldn't even say anything, having no option I smiled forcefully.

"I wanted to meet you, you said you are at the workplace . And see, it's a complete private place. No one would know about us meeting! " he said, his eyes brightened with a slight of happiness.. I smiled, such a fool of me! "That's so nice of you, I was feeling alone while doing the work! " I said , my palms were covered with sweats.

"You are a millionaire, you can hire people to do your level of work. Princess, you don't have to pressurize your brain so much, " he said softly, pulling my cheek.. I could see Abir through the window and his face hardened, was I being delulu or he was actually pissed off with his presence around me..

"Yah, I can.. But you know I have this habit of doing all my work by myself. As you know none of my family ever cared for me, so I was alone everytime . So it has become my habit, it does not stress me! " I said, he came close and cupped my cheek.. I maintained a fake smile, my hand turned into a fist. I was controlling the urge to punch hard on his face..

"How can people abandon people like you? Look at yourself, so beautiful, so grounded , so vibrant. I can't believe you got such a toxic family, " he mentioned, the way his words was just pushing me to kill him just on the spot, but again I had to control myself.. I can't hear anything against my family from an outsider, I was angry at them, only I have the right to say anything.

"God always do everything for our best. See I would have never met you, if I was leaving with my family! " I said, "I mean I would have been in India, " I added, he smiled.. His eyes moved towards my back over my shoulder, my heart beat raised.. Mivan bhai had kept the documents here. I was fucked up.. My brain stopped functioning..

He moved past me, his hand streched forward to grab those papers. I didn't think twice and just grabbed him by holding his collar. "When a hot girl like me is present in the room, how can your eyes are moving to the surrounding, " I said in a seducing tone, his eyes flickered. A sign of hunger was clearly visible on his face, I was so fucked up now..

He held my hand & pulled me closer, I was not nervous but scared of my own anger.. I was scared what if I would punch me. That's the only ending I could imagine at that moment. He brought his face close to mine, his lips twitched into a smirk. I was all ready to push him, but someone forcefully entered inside making a huge noise..

We both snapped our head towards the person, my eyes widened. It's Ruhan! " This carpet, idiot.. I am so sorry, I interpreted such a romantic moment. After seeing you guys, I thought to leave but my fucking damn feet! " he  said in a complete irritating tone, what a great actor he was.. I distanced myself and breathed in relief..

"How did you know I am here? I didn't inform you! " Adrene roared, the ground beneath me slipped. "Sir.. Sir I was.. I mean there's some emergency. Actually I needed your signature on these papers. I called you, but you didn't receive any of my calls . It's really important, so I called your driver. And he told me that you are here! " Ruhan said, how easily he made a lie.

I would have accepted my death.

"My driver informed you about my whereabouts? " Adrene asked in shock, damn it Ruhan.. It's another lie.. Ruhan said yes having no option. Adrene clenched his jaw and was breathing heavily. We both would be dead if he will investigate his driver directly.. He made a call, I looked at Ruhan.. He was already giving me pity looks.

Damn fuck it!

"Car number **** ** ******** .. Blast the car in five minutes! "

My eyes widened, "Now there is no evidence! " he announced, I gasped.. I grabbed his phone, but he had already cut it.. "You.. You don't have to kill someone for this! " I muttered, Ruhan literally put that innocent driver's life in danger.. "Calm down baby! I don't want my father to know about our meet.. If he shared this information to Ruhan, then it would take him a second to spill everything in front of my father! " he stated, I gasped..

"But, I mean he has a long life to leave.. You can fire him! " I suggested, he smirked.. "That's just a sixty year old man! Common! " he mumbled casually, I stared at him in disbelief. I was on the verge of getting tears in my eyes, a sixty years old man! I could not handle it anymore. I don't fucking care about the mission. I was about to say, but Abir gestured me to keep silent..

I looked at him in disbelief, but he gave me an assuring smile.

"Sir, keep me in your driver post. I swear I won't reveal any of your secrets to anyone. Being your personal assistant I have already kept everything between us, please don't kill me, " Ruhan pleaded to him, he fell under his feet. Yeah there's high chance Adrene could kill Ruhan. Because Ruhan has seen us together..

"Let me close the terrace door, " I excused myself and ran to the terrace.. "Calm down, the driver is outside. He is safe! " Abir said me, I took a sign of relief.. I felt so relaxed knowing it. I closed the door & again went to them. Adrene made Ruhan stand on his feet, "You are the only one person to whom I trust. I won't kill you. And yes, it is a good idea. From now on when I will come to see my girlfriend, you would come to drop me! " Adrene announced and took Ruhan into a hug.. Girlfriend, my foot!

Ruhan rolled his eyes, he grabbed a knife from the fruit basket.. My eyes widened, tf ! But he kept it back as Adrene broke the hug.. "Sir, you have a meeting with the USA clients! " Ruhan began, Adrene gave him a side eye. "But it's tomorrow right? " he reminded, "They preponed it actually! And if you won't attend it, your father will be angry! " Ruhan stated, he frowned. Ruhan left after giving a winning smile to me.. He really made my situation better..

"Why are you so scared of your father? " I asked him, it's a genuine question. I mean Myke Jackson would definitely not want his son to date any daughter of his enemy, that's why adrene is trying to hide our meetings. But the way he was getting scared, I found it odd..

"Dad wants to kill you! "

My head snapped towards him, I looked at him in shock. I opened my mouth to utter something, but I couldn't.. I don't have any direct personal rivalry with Myke Jackson. So it came out as a shock to me.

"It's all because of your dad, Manvik Agarwal. He has been troubling my dad in politics & business as well. We have a good bond with him on surface level, but inside we are dying to kill each other. Dad know that you are Manvik Agarwal's one & only weak point. So he is targeting you. Before he had tried to kill your parents,  I was chilled & okay with it .. But now he's planning to kill you! "

I was just speechless with his explanation. This guy was chilled when his dad was trying to kill my parents? I need a gun right now. After hearing all this shit, I had to stay calm again. Bloody criminals will make me a criminal. Fuck it.. "I am getting late, we will meet tomorrow! " He said, I smiled . That motherfucker again hugged me before leaving..

I stayed calm till Abir gave me a sign that Adrene left. I threw a chair in anger, breaking the glass door into pieces. I was so done with this bastard..

Dropping my body on the chair, I rested my head. Abir sat down on the desk near me, we had a second of eye contact. From his look it's obvious that he was concerned for me. My three brothers entered inside. "We have to please the USA clients to arrange a meeting right now with Adrene.. Ruhan fucked up everything while trying to save you! " Mivan bhai mentioned, the trio ran out of my vision.

Trying to cover one lie, we were making new lies. Abir was sitting in front of me on the desk, his one leg was touching the shiney floor while the other one was hanging in air.. He was indulged in some deep thoughts, "I shouldn't have hugged Adrene yesterday, he actually got green signal! " I mentioned, he moved his eyes to me. "Finally, Mishti Agarwal got a few brain cells, " he said in a mocking way.

It's actually my fault, so I didn't reply to him. I stood up and turn my heel to leave. But he held my elbow, both of our eyes were stuck where our skin was in contact. I cleared my throat, "Next time when he try to touch you, just simply tell him that you are not comfortable. Tell him ; It's just yesterday I moved on from Abir. I trusted him a lot, but he broke my heart. So I can't easily trust anyone. So first let's be friend! And it would actually look real, without any buttering & fake accent! " he said, it's actually a good idea.

I gave a node in response, "I should get going, " I said, " Hmm! " he mumbled, I looked at where he was holding my hand.. "So, good night! " I wished him and waited for him to leave my hand. He was gesturing me to go , but was not leaving my hand. He was just zoned out, his eyes stuck on the floor..

"Abir! " I called him, he flinched a little & gazed at me. I made him look at his hand which was holding me, it took him a few seconds to realize but he freed my hand from his grip. I felt the emptiness , but had to ignore it. I didn't want to leave, I wanted the time to take a pause, I wanted to be with him a little more. Every second was precious to me..

With a heavy breath I took a small step ahead, and he stopped me. This time he held my palm, his fingers gripping around my fingers. I didn't ask anything and just stayed with him. "Umm.. " he paused, my delulu mind said that he has nothing to speak. He just wanted me to stay.

His phone vibrated in his pant pocket, he pulled it out, it's a call from Adrene.. We exachanged a look of confusion, he picked up the call & put it on speaker. He was still holding my hand, I was standing close to him..

Hey Adrene, what's up!

Where are you?

Taking a nap.. What happened?

Can we talk now? Are you free?

Yep! Tell me what's wrong..

Kill Manvik Agarwal.

My eyes widened, I looked at Abir, he set his posture straight and became a little nervous. Why the hell he wanted to kill my father?

I think you are drunk Adrene!

Dude! They are my biggest enemy. I can't let them die in peace. I will defeat them in every field, will kill each one of their next generation, then make them homeless and after that I will kill him..

My eyes widened. Papa went through a severe accident recently, and Abir helped him? It's a part of his plan, but still? Papa was severely injured..

"Why did you support him? " I said in a low tone, Abir left my palm and covered my mouth quickly, gesturing me to stay quiet..

I rolled my eyes the way he smirked at me. He removed his palm from my mouth and again held my hand. Something is wrong with this guy..

See! Situation was different. Now they all are under high security. Even mishti is not in my hand to reach them.

Then what will I do? How will I save Mishti? I can't go against my father and also I can't see her dying..

He hang up the phone.. "They are surface level friends, so that if anything happen to any one of them tomorrow, then they will be in safe zone! " I muttered, If anything happen to my dad, no one will question Myke Jackson because they are friend in world's eyes. If anything happen to Myke Jackson then nobody will question my dad as well..

"Things are getting complicated more than I imagined, more than I thought! " he expressed in distress and pulled his hair making it messier. "Everyone from my side will stay safe, right? " I questioned him , fear gripping through my tone.. His dark brown eyes rested on mine, "Nothing will happen to your family! " he spoke, I wasn't expecting an answer like this.

When I mean my side of people, he is included in this too. But he removed himself from it, I kept numb. "You should go.. " I nodded quietly, grabbing my purse I left, he was following me silently. My driver was waiting for me outside. The lights were turned off, we drove away. Abir went on opposite direction while I took the NH..

Today the way he replied to me , it made me anxious. His words held some depth, I hope everyone will stay alive. If anyone will die , then be it me! When I reached home I found Jeevika sleeping in her room. It's already night, so I didn't disturb her and went to sleep..

My morning started with a headache, I was holding a burden above my head. I couldn't sleep peacefully thinking about my father. His life is in danger, and I was not able to do anything..  The constant fear was not able to let me live in peace.. After getting ready I went down stairs, Jeevika has left for office. I needed to talk with her..

Grabbing a toast from the kitchen I moved outside, my driver opened the door for me.. I was not able to concentrate on anything. I reached office, attended a meeting, did my proper breakfast. I need to stay fine to keep my system processing. I went to the kitchen and  Jeevika was filling her coffee mug..

"Tell me what's happening in my back! " I questioned her, sitting on the slab.. "Mam, it's nothing much, " she tore his gaze away.. "See! He is my brother, but you are important to me as well . You are no less than a friend to me. I am concerned about you and I want to know the reason, just speak up! " I said in a strict tone..

"Mrinal Sir likes me! " she announced, with my wide opened eyes I stared at her with a smile. "Do you have a boyfriend? " I asked her, my heart beat was at its peak, but when she said no I became relieved. "Then what's wrong ? I mean first get to know him then you can decide! " I suggested, she looked at me in little shock..

"You don't have any problem with me dating your brother? " Her question made me confuse. I didn't understand why and how I came in the middle. "I didn't understand, " I muttered. "I am your PA. How can I date your big brother? " she asked me, I looked at her in disbelief. "What's the connection? I mean what is the problem here? "

"Isn't it a problem? I would be elder to you in relation, it looks odd! I am just an assistant of yours,how will I be your sister in law,that too elder! " she processed, I stared at her like she's an alien. "Have you lost your mind somewhere? Because it seems like that. You know I will be the happiest person if you would marry my brother. He could have never gotten someone as pure as you! You are the sweetest person I have ever met in my life. Ask your heart & take the decision which is right for you. Don't include me in all this, " I stated, she kept quiet.

I came out of the kitchen , it's around 2:30 PM. Adrene's words were just revolving around my head, even after trying a thousand times I couldn't keep my feelings aside. So I decided to meet Papa for once. I told the driver to take me to his workplace. It's his politician territory, an important meeting was occurring there. After crossing many security checks, they finally let me go inside the boundary.

But my driver wasn't allowed to stay inside, so I sent him away.. I was little nervous, after crossing the huge garden I could finally see the mansion. Some of the guards checked my ID, I was so done with the process..

I stopped walking when I saw a group of people coming at my direction. Papa was in the middle, he was having a conversation with them. As he looked up, his gaze fell upon me and he froze. With a sign of gesture, he told all the members to leave. I walked ahead, he was staring at me in surprise..

I was going through mixed emotions, of course I was angry, but I was longing for his affection. "Umm, you.. Um.. Is there any problem? " he asked me hesitantly, I moved near him and took him in a hug. He was taken aback due my sudden move, but reciprocated my hug in no time. Tears started beaming in my eyes, I could feel his trembling palm against my back..

After a whole decade I was hugging my precious person, my papa. I felt a lump in my heart, my throat was burning. I broke our hug and wiped my tears. He was not shedding tears, but he was feeling the same as mine .. "A daughter can meet her father anytime, or I just need you for some work? " I said, he chuckled & caressed my cheek..

"Ryan! " He called his PA & cancelled all the upcoming meetings for today. "Sir, you know the election is on our head, I can't cancel everything, " he said, "It's okay papa, you don't have to-" But papa cut me off in the middle. "I have given my whole life to politics. Today my daughter came to me for the first time, do you think I will prioritize anything over her? Just postpone it, I will manage! " he stated, his voice held the dominance.

His PA left & we both walked towards the parking lot.. "A lot of things are happening & I am not happy with the ongoing plan related to Adrene. I really want your brothers to change it, " he showed his disappointment. If there was any, they could have done it first. My brothers are possessive for me more than Papa. But we are just stuck..

"Let's go to any restaurant, I am hungry! " I suggested, he nodded happily. "We will go to a private restaurant, far from the eyes of Jackson family! " he said & opened the passager door for me .. I held the knob of the door & gestured him to sit inside..

"Today let me be your driver & just be my passenger king! " I giggled, he bowed down in obligation and sat inside. He used to call me passenger princess, because every time he drives the car I used to sit in the front seat. I started the engine, he instructed me where to go.. As I left the territory, I pressed the break to slow down the car .

But it didn't slow down, I looked ahead. I entered the car into a highway, I again applied the break, but damn it. The speed didn't decrease, I pressed the accelerater and it worked. The speed of the car increased. I tried again and again, but the speed didn't slow down. Someone has messed up with its system..

Papa was gazing into the phone, trying to search for a restaurant.. I connected my phone with the bluetooth, before I could call anybody, Abir called me..

Relax, calm down!

So he already got the information about it..

Don't tell anything to uncle, he would freak out because you are in the car..

Hm okay..

Papa looked at me, "My assistant is on the call, " I lied, he nodded and again started searching.. The highway was not a straight road, papa told me to decrease the speed.. "Don't worry, I am experienced enough! " I muttered..  

Abir instructed me to do all the possibilities, but nothing worked. The speed was increasing, but not decreasing. Damn, someone has done it to kill papa!

The national highway is near..

Push uncle out of the car, their side of the road won't cause much harm..

How can I do that?

Mishti, once you will reach the national highway, then you will create more trouble. The road is complete chaos, many accidents will happen. Do what I said, I am reaching you in one minute..

I looked ahead, hardly two four cars were passing by our side.. I opened the seatbelt of his seat, "Papa, just jump out of the car! " I said him, he snapped his head at me.. "Papa, I don't have much time, just do it! " I unlocked the car door, my car was going towards the left side..

"Is the break not working? " he asked me in concern, "Papa, please just jump. Otherwise we both will die! " I shouted in anger, he said no! "How can I leave you like this? " he shouted back, "Abir is coming, but the national highway is here.. He can't save both of us at a time.. So just jump! " I forcefully opened his side of the door..

"If I push you, you will be injured. So please just jump out of it! Please, " I pleaded.. "If you ever love me, please go! " I was crying, I spot Abir's car behind mine.. "Papa please! " I screamed, he looked at me helplessly and jumped out of the car, only after seeing Abir's car. My heart stopped beating for a moment, I looked back to check whether he was fine or not. But he was out of my vision.

Keep your side of door opened!

You can't just pull me like that, the door keep closing automatically!

Don't argue with me right now. The NH is near , just keep the damn door open..

He was loosing his control, I opened the door and pushed it with my leg.. But it again came back, I kept it open with the help of my feet..

Keep your feet a little towards inside!

I did as he said and kept my feet towards the joined part. His car came at a full speed and it crushed the car door of my side, detaching it from my car.. Abir turned his car in 180° motion and drove back towards me.. I unbuckled the seatbelt..

Abir it's risky.. I don't want to put your life in danger..

I will just pull you out of the car, don't worry.. Nothing will happen to us..

Still, it is risky..

I told you before. You are the Princess and I am just a soldier on duty. So you should stop worrying about me..

I left out a gasp, we were driving on the bank of the road, one wrong step and both will fall down the small valley..

Get ready !

I held my breath and left the steering.. He slowed down the car speed, he just had a few seconds to grab me. I loosened myself a little and the next moment I was pulled out of the car, he literally came out of his car and grabbed me by holding me from my waist.. My head hit against his car, my other hand severely bruished..

I didn't understand how he managed to keep his side of door opened by his feet, how he managed the speed, how he took control of his car and how he just pulled me effortlessly in one go.

Another car came from the NH and hit my car which fell down the valley.. Abir stopped his car and pulled me inside.. Blood was oozing from my forehead skin, I was sitting on his lap..

"Are you okay? " he asked me in concern, I nodded. He pulled out a hankey and dabbed on my wound.. " Argh the blood flow is not stopping! " He roared in frustrations, my head fell back as I lost my sense..
