There was a woman 

20 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. 21 For she said to herself, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." 22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour. - Mathew 9:20-22 (NKJV)

The story of the woman with the issue of blood is such a great encouragement to me. It gives us hope. It shows us the power of faith. A few things you might want to know about this lady. 

1. She was a woman.

2. She had an issue of blood for 12 years. 

3. She spent all her money on her health

She spent all 

Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any - Luke 8:43 (NKJV)

Have you ever been where you exhausted all of your plans and still everything you tried doing simply didn't work out? Life is Spiritual. God made us as Spirit beings. What that simply means is that God responds to spirituality. The woman did all she could do in her power, and she failed. But when She tapped into the Divine, God healed her. Faith is Divine. Faith Speaks. 

Faith is Divine

2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness []was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. - Genesis 1:2-3 (NKJV)

Friends, whenever you are in a situation that seems hopeless, don't panic. Where there is a hopeless situation, there's a solution within yourself. How? Well, Faith is Divine and Faith speaks. 

The bible says, "The earth was without form, and void and darkness was on the face of the deep." How horrifying! I can only imagine what it must have looked like. It was darker than the darkest that there's ever been. It's not night black, because the night has light. It was dark and there was nothing you could see. But look at the faith of God. 

The bible says, "Then God said" Let's pause for a minute. What was God's solution? God never cried. He never complained. He never grumbled. He rather spoke. And guess what? We were made in the likeness of God. What God demonstrated in the beginning set a complexion for how our lives should be lived. We are meant to live in faith. When God spoke, the Heavens were created. Faith is Divine. 

What do you say to yourself? 

21 For she said to herself, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." - Mathew 9:21 (NKJV)

Do you know what's interesting here? The woman never spoke. She just thought . She spoke to herself. She was having a conversation with herself. Now, before we call her weird, everybody has their own weird thing going on. But she said within herself. Man! Look at what she said: "If only I may touch His garment." 

I admire her faith. It takes more than enthusiasm to make yourself believe in such a tremendous way. When disappointments happen, most times we give up. This lady had become broke and yet she still believed. She went through so much. Imagine how rich she must have been. She had this problem for more than a decade, then one day, she meets Jesus. What an encounter that was! 

Don't lose hope

 When hope's dream seems to drag on and on,

the delay can be depressing.

But when at last your dream comes true,
life's sweetness will satisfy your soul.[]       

- Proverbs 13:12 (TPT)

Never lose hope. Like the woman with the issue of blood, decide to speak. Let your faith in God only grow stronger. The bible says, "When hope's dream seems to drag on and on, the delay can be depressing." 

Refuse to throw in the towel. Depressing as it might be, cling on to Jesus. When you speak in faith, you would have learned the language of the kingdom of God. 

God's word is our comfort

50 This is my comfort and consolation in my affliction: that Your word has revived me and given me life. - Psalm 119:50 (AMPC)

Usually, it's really not about what we go through and experience, it's more on how we respond. Perhaps you are in a lot of trauma or pain and you cannot see to see a way out, here's the way out; God's word. The word of God changes our situations. The word of God carries power, but it's only powerful if you believe. 

David was depressed. And He found comfort in the word of God. We should learn to depend on Gods word for everything we go through. Before making the big decisions, let's make sure we  spedt enough time in the word of God. 

The bible says, "that your word has revived me and given me life." My friends, God is real and His word is His gift to us. 

God responds to your faith 

But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour. - Mathew 9:22 (NKJV)

It's still very amazing to me. As I studied, God just showed me the power of faith. I have never seen it in the way that the Holy Spirit ministered it to me. A woman touches Jesus and His response is, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well."

How? What does that even mean? People don't respond like that when their touched by some random person. That's why I mentioned earlier that faith is Divine. Jesus responded to the acts of the Divine. The woman spoke within herself in faith, and even without Jesus hearing what she had to say, He responded, "Your faith has made you well" 

God is close to people that have faith. That's why Abraham stands out as the Father of Faith. If we can learn to see the Divinity of faith, we'd have discovered a true gem. In the words of Jesus. "Be of good cheer, ________( Put your name); your faith has made  you well." 

Prayer

Father, we thank you for today. You are wonderful and glorious. Thank you for showing us the Divinity of faith. We believe that there's never a hopeless situation. If your word said it, then we believe. Thank you for ever being our present help in times of need. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
