MERRY CHRISTMAS SHELBY
ITS ONLY BEEN OVER A YEAR THAT WE'VE REALLY KNOWN EACH OTHER BUT ILY OKAY NOT GONNA GET SAPPY ONTO THE ONESHOT
-
Another lonely night at the bar, nothing out of the ordinary for your broken-hearted self. If only things had turned out differently. If only you hadn't caught him cheating. If only, if only, if only... But you knew you couldn't change a thing, and you were better off alone, right?
That's what you thought, until you looked down to realize you were on your fourth glass of wine and anything you had thought up to now was probably irrelevant. You shouldn't have drank the wine, you mentally chastised yourself. But again, it would be to no avail. Anything you thought would most likely end up being disregarded.
Suddenly a draft of cool air ruffled your hair, causing a slight shiver to run its way through your body. You turned to address the perpetrator whom had caused your momentary discomfort. Before you could say anything, however, the bartended behind you began to speak.
"Long time no see, Kei," he huffed, already preparing a mighty glass of beer for the blonde. 'Kei' nodded in recognition, taking an empty seat beside you. Even with your close proximity, he still didn't acknowledge your presence. You pouted in annoyance, didn't he know that sometimes people needed alone time?
"Seems like she's here for the same reason you are," the bartender nodded in your direction addressing the boy.
"Hmm," the rude boy mused.
"Excuse me?" He would not get away with ignoring you, and then being a complete and total ass. Your anger flared up, and it was made clear in your tone.
"For fucks sake, will you shut up already? I don't need another loutish girl telling me off, I've gotten enough of that today, alright?" He turned away, taking another big swig from his quickly depleting glass.
"Hmph." Truth be told however, you didn't even know what 'loutish' meant. (a/n: uncouth and aggressive)
"Look, give the poor girl a break, she knows how you feel believe it or not." You were starting to feel grateful for the bartender by now, he was surprisingly nice. But soon, he left and went to the back room, leaving the two of you alone. So much for liking him.
"So..." you tried to initiate conversation.
"Not in the mood, girl," he growled, obviously annoyed at the new situation he was thrusted into.
"I have a name y'know. It's (Name)."
"Well, (Name), I'm not in the mood so if you could just move down a few seats that would be great." Oh he did not just say that.
"Umm, I was here first actually, boy," you stated, feeling as if you had the superiority.
Obviously, Kei didn't feel the same. "My name is Tsukishima," he deadpanned. "And I don't care who was here first, I care that you're too close to me."
"No wonder you were dumped..." you thought out loud. Oops.
"The fuck did you just say?"
All at once, he was on top of you, his lips colliding with yours. It felt unreal, unnatural, but not wrong. In fact, he was actually a pretty good kisser. Before you realized he had pulled away though.
"Wh-wha..." was all you could manage to say.
"You wanna... go again?" A small blush had formed on his face, but he was determined to hide it.
"My house is kinda messy," you lied.
"Then mine it is." He said this with complete confidence, as if it was impossible for you to decline.
"What if I wasn't impressed by your kissing skills?" you bluffed, seeing how much you could get him wrapped around your finger.
"Then you're shucks out of luck."
"Well then it's quite good that I find your kissing skills to be superb and in fact much more satisfactory than my ex's," you smirked.
"Why don't we let your ex know that then?" Tsukishima suggested.
"I don't want yours to feel left out either," you teased, already posing for the selfie.
