Far away

She fell to her knees
Repeating the word "please"
But there was nothing she could do
For she had no clue
That everyone around her had always been dying
And now those she knew had stopped fighting

But what could she do but stand as stare
As the people for whom she would always care
Begin to leave her, one by one
Stranding her in a deserted ghost town
Of pain and regret, loss and sorrow
As she had failed them all, not able to promise them a tomorrow

She felt stuck in soundproof glass walls
Deprived of the chance to answer their calls
No matter how much she cried for them to tell them that she was there
They could not hear her, it was unfair
Only could she watch them with no more to say
As the only help she thought she could offer was now so far away
