Evelyn's POV

As we reach vet's clinic, Mia takes Bella out and carry her in arms. I park my car and it takes me a while.

I push the door. A pretty receptionist greets me with a formal smile. There are some people in the waiting room holding different animals and most of them are cats and dogs.

I find Mia sitting on a chair and sit next to her. I take my cellphone out, gosh I hate waiting. It takes about 30 minutes when the receptionist comes toward us.

''You can go inside now,'' she points toward the door. I read the board saying ''Dr. Jake Smith'' and many degrees written under.

We enter the doctor's room. The doctor with a white coat is washing something at wash basin. I can only see his back. He look young from behind. When I thought about a vet's appearance, I thought of him as an elderly man with white hair.

As he turns around, he greets us in a formal way and points towards the table where animals are checked. My eyes stop at his face. A rectangular face with pointed chin and sturdy jaw line. Grey eyes, brown hair and soft features. I don't think I have ever seen such a face that attracted my attention this much.

Mia puts Bella on table, patting her. The doctor moves her towards him and starts checking her. I can only see his face, not what he is doing.

''She's being down since early morning and didn't eat anything. What's wrong with her?'' Mia asks worriedly.

''She has indigestion, nothing's wrong. I am giving some glucose and other liquid medicine. Keep giving it to her until she looks better.'' He says smiling for the first time. His grey eyes get tiny when he smiles.

''Let's go.'' Mia hits me with an elbow and drags me out of my fantasy.

I follow her out. After paying the expenses, we get in the car and I dropped Mia and Bella at their home and go straight to my studio with grey eyes still in my head.

Jake's POV

I press the passcode to unlock door of my apartment and turn on the lights as I enter with kitty in the basket. I take her out and head towards my room. Then take out my coat and move to the bathroom to freshen up.

As I lay on the bed, I realize how tired I am. Kitty jumps over the bed and cuddle with me.

''Are you also tired?'' I whisper to her and she meows in response.

That's my life. Just me and my kitty. No friends, no family. I do have a father and a stepmother who come to see me once in six months. I am happy being alone. My kitty is my family and there is no room for anything else.

I dont realize when sleep takes over me.

Evelyn's Pov

It's been three days since I have been thinking about those grey eyes. I don't know what's happening to me. I'm not the type to go crazy over guys. I felt some unexpressed emotions in his eyes.

I didn't realize when I came here, in front of that clinic again.

''What! You have fallen girl.'' Mia yells with excitement.

''No way!'' I deny and look at Andria who have same expressions like Mia.

''You said you have been thinking about him since you saw him. Isn't it clear? You should ask him out.'' Andria says eating an apple.

''That's not going to happen. Moreover, he doesn't seem like a person who will agree.'' Second sentence comes out of my mouth unconsciously.

''Let's contact him.'' Mia takes his card out of her wallet and hand it over to me.

''An e-mail would be better,'' I say as I turn on my laptop.

Mia takes it from me and start typing his ID and the message.
''Hi, can we be friends?''
What! I try to erase what she has written but she clicks the send button.

''You sent such a straightforward message.'' I complain rolling my eyes.

''Isn't this your style? being straightforward.'' She says laughing. The three of us stare at the laptop screen.

''He saw the message.'' Andria says excitedly. My heart beat gets faster. I don't remember If I had been this much nervous in my life.

5 minutes - 10 minutes. No reply.

Such dissapoitment.

Mia writes another message.

''Waiting for your reply..''

seen.

no response.

''What do we do now?'' Andria says worriedly. I feel anger at his ignorance.

''I have an idea.'' Mia says.

What she said seemed difficult but not impossible. And I love to do difficult things.
