Alois' POV

"Merci." I say.

"Yes?" She asks. Today she has on a simple black dress that goes down a few inches past her knees

"We're having a guest over today." I tell her.

"Who?" She asks.

"Phantomhive is going to visit." I inform her.

~time skip 

Merci and I sit in my study waiting. I hear a knock on the door and it's opened by someone with long red hair dressed in all red.

"MERCI!" He yells and hugs Merci.

"Grell! Put me down! I swear you act like you haven't seen me in years!" She says.

"Grell." Sebastian says as if warning him.

"Oh alright." Grell says and sets her down next to me.

"That's my brother. He's practically useless. He's obsessed with Sebastian." Merci whispers to me. That explains that.

"Why are his eyes green and yellow?" I whisper ask Merci.

"All reaper's eyes are like that." She whispers back

"Yours aren't. Your eyes are golden." I whisper.

"Grell why are my eyes golden? All the other reaper's eyes are like yours." Merci says to Grell.

"Funny story... You're, um, half reaper... and half demon." Grell says nervously. Merci glares at him and mumbles something I can't hear.

"Merci could I have a word with you in the other room?" Ciel asks her.

"No." I say right away. I don't want to let Merci out of my sight.

"Oh I'll be fine Alois." She says and shakes her head. "You blonde idiot." She mumbles.

Merci's POV

I lead Ciel to the library down the hall. I'm quite curious as to what he would want to talk about. Ciel opens the door and I follow him in. He takes a seat at a table and I sit across from him.

"Do you know as to why that brat want's you with him today?" Ciel asks me.

"He's not a brat first of all. And yes I do know why." I say.

"Would you mind sharing that reason?" Ciel asks.

"Alois thinks you won't hurt him if I'm here. I think that's quite silly though." I say.

"Why is that?" Ciel asks.

"Because you, Ciel, are playing a game of chess. I'm not part of your game. Therefore I'm not important and you could careless if I'm here or not. There's a good chance you will end up hurting Alois today. But if you do try to hurt Alois, I just hope you don't think I'll let you get away with it." I say

"You're very smart. I noticed you pharesd that in a way as to say you could be in someone else's game of chess though." Ciel says.

"I believe Alois may be playing a game of chess as well. He just isn't very good at it. If Alois is playing a game of chess that I am a piece in his game. But as to which piece, I'm not sure." I say.

"Why Merci. Isn't it clear? You're his queen. I doubt he thinks of you as any other kind pawn. I'm eliminating every piece he has." Ciel says and pauses. His eyes shift to something behind me and he gives the slightest of nods. "And Merci you are his favorite and his strongest piece." He finishes.

"So you need to get rid of me." I say and catch the 4 table knives flying at my head. " But honestly. What a cheap move Ciel." I say standing up to face Sebastian. I take out my custom deathscythe, a chainsaw. Yes I know grell has the same, but I had mine first. Sebastian attacks first. I easily doge. Sebastian sends 4 table knives at me and i deflect them with my deathscythe. I race forward and slash him. It's not a deep cut, but it weakens him.

"Sebastian don't fail." Ciel says. That's right. He's here. In a blink of an eye I have Ciel's hands behind his back and a him in front of me, my deathscythe in front of him. Ready for the kill.

"There will be none of this nonsense. I'm sure Alois is getting worried and quite pissed by now. And sebastian if you try anything I will use Ciel here as a human shield." I say removing all emotion from my eyes and from my voice. Only leaving a cold blooded reaper. That is how a reaper is meant to act after all. Ciel nods to Sebastian and Sebastian leaves. I move my deathscythe and leave to rejoin Alois.

"What took you so long?" Alois asks. I notice Grell had left.

"Just a little fight with Sebastian. There ended up with no blood spilling. William would kill me for sure if I killed one of them. They aren't on the to-die list." I say. Claude came in a moment later and lead us out to a giant chess board. I looked like It would be Sebastian vs  Hannah, Claude and the triplets.

We watch the fight, but the 3 of us are bored. Ciel and Alois get up and walk out.

'Where are they going?' I say in my head. I wait a minute and get up to follow them. I find them in a large room. Possibly the ballroom? I look around the door and see Alois and Ciel fighting. They seem to have just started. They were the 10 paces and ciel turned at five and Alois had his sword pointed to Ciel's throat.

"Now now. We won't be having any cheating will we?" Alois says. They get up to the mezzanine and continue the fight. Ciel seems angry. 

"That's it! 123! 123! Down you go!" Alois yells and pushes Ciel over the railing by the throat and he lands on his back. Alois jumps down and lands on his feet as Ciel struggles for air. Alois stands up straight and walks over to Ciel. He taps Ciel's cheek with the size of his sword 2 times.

"Here we are Ciel. You'll finally be mine." Alois says and chuckles as he sits on Ciel chest with his feet at Ciel's sides and places his sword on Ciel's throat. 

"Sebastian want's so very badly to devour your soul. But he won't get to because you see I'm going to tear it up and feed it the the spiders of my mansion. Poor thing I know it's going to irritate him terribly." Alois says and laughs. "This is going to be a lot of fun." He says.

"The soul of the Queen's guard dog isn't cheap. A trifling little spider like you could afford a taste. But if you don't mind having your legs ripped off then by all means give in a try." Ciel says.

"I see you still have enough energy to be cheeky." Alois says and raises the sword above Ciel's heart and my eyes widen. "It's useless to continue struggling! Just give up and submit to me!" Alois says and goes to stab Ciel, but he grabs the blade with his hand. Alois is surprised when Ciel starts to fight back by trying to move the sword away from him. 

"Submit? I'm the one who has you." Ciel says as his hand starts to badly bleed. I look just in time to See Sebastian and Claude running my way. Sebastian enters the room right before Claude.

"Master!' He says and the 2 stops after a few steps when they process what is going on. Sebastian has cuts on his face, but Claude looks unharmed. That's when my eyes see the sword in Alois' side and the blood quickly spreading. He takes a step back and the sword is still in Ciel's hand. I run over to Alois and try to help with the bleeding, but he is rolling on his back in pain.

"Alois, please stay still. I want to help with the bleeding, but I need you to stay still." I say, worry in my voice. It's no use.

"Please help me Claude! Help me I'm dieing!" He screams.

"Yes, your highne-" He starts as the 2 butlers start to walk forward, but is cut off by Ciel.

"Halt sebastian! Until I've killed him stay back!" Ciel orders Sebastian and Claude lets out a gasp. I send a glare towards Ciel.

"Very good my young lord." Sebastian says.

"Haven't you done plenty already! Look at him! See that pain in his eyes? The misery? Remind you of anything? Something you wish no one to know of?" I say. Ciel sends a glare my way. He points the sword at alois' head.

"Die Alois Trancy." Ciel says.

"Wait please! I don't want to die. It hurts. Please spare me Ciel." Alois begs. Fine then! Ignore me Alois! IT'S NOT LIKE I'M TRYING TO, YOU KNOW, SAVE YOUR LIFE OR ANYTHING!! 

"You are truly pathetic Alois. You killed my parents and you want me to spare you!!!" Ciel says yelling the second part. 

"Wait listen to me! You don't understand! You're being tricked by a demon! I'm telling you! Believe me!" Alois begs and Ciel lowers the sword a little. 

"Demon?" Ciel asks.

"My parents were willed too you know." Alois say, now full on crying. "My family was burnt along with with the whole village. Someone stole them from me. Can't you see we're basically the same?" Alois says on his knees and pulling on Ciel's coat. "I promise I won't bother you anymore. I apologize for everything. Just please Ciel, just please spare me. Please let me live!" Alois sobs. Ciel lets out a chuckle and smirks a little. He raises his sword so it's in front of him.

"Through your actions you have damaged my pride and now yOU WILL ATONE WITH YOUR DEATH!" Ciel yells spinning the sword and raising it about to go for the kill.

"Please! Hury Claude help me!" Alois says. UH HI I'M RIGHT FUCKING HERE! I push Alois out of the way of the blade ready from the pain, knowing it wouldn't kill me. Alois stares wide eyes, but the blade is stopped not a centimeter from me. Claude had caught his arm. 

"Let go bastard!" Ciel says as he starts to fight Claude for the sword... He's gonna end up hurting himself is sebastian don't step in. I go to Alois' aid as he actually let's me help him this time. 

"Young master!" Sebastian says and runs over. Ciel slaps with his bloody hand leaving his blood as a mark and Sebastian runs over and picks Ciel up bridal style.

"It's nOT OVER! I'LL KILL YOU!" Ciel shouts.

  I tear some of the fabric from underneath my dress and tie it around the wound. His eyes are glued to me as I do this I move his hand to the wound and look up at him. 

"You need to apply pressure to your wound. It will help with the bleeding." I tell him and he nods.

"Giving the current circumstance I cannot allow this dance to continue. I'll terribly sorry, but we'll have to excuse ourselves for the rest of the day. Do you hear me Claude?" Sebastian says.

"Oh yes of course. I understand. Another time then." Claude says.

"Master I suggest we be on our way. First you run off and you get yourself hurt. I'm positively at my wits end with you my lord." Sebastian says and starts rocking Ciel as I Move Alois' head to my lap and hum to him and make sure he is still applying pressure to the wound. 

"Put me down Sebastian!" Ciel says and starts slapping Sebastian.

"Honestly Sir, how can you have the energy to throw a temper tantrum like this after losing all that blood?." Sebastian says and dances around rocking Ciel. "It's the day of a ball after all. "Come now. We'll dance our way. Into the sunset." Sebastian says and runs out with Ciel. Alois' breathing pattern starts returning to normal.

"You're going to be okay. You're not on my to-die list. You're going to be okay." I say over and over to him and run my fingers through his hair. He coughs up blood, but i'm unfazed by it. 

"Merci-" He starts.

"No. don't waste your energy talking." I tell him. He nods and his eyes cole and he seems to go limp. I quickly grab his wrist and check for a pulse. It's faint, but there.

"Thank god." I whisper and look over to Claude.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" I scream at him.

"Bring him up to his room and I'll clean him up." Claude says and walk out. I sigh. That demon is impossible.
