you should know - and if you know me personally then you absolutely know - that melissa marie benoist is pretty much my favourite person on this freaking earth.

i'm lucky enough to call her my idol.

so i feel like i must talk about what happened, or more like what she made public yesterday.

yesterday (in my country night, in the us probably morning or noon) she posted this video on igtv. in this 15 minute video, she admitted that she is a survivor of domestic violence by her ex, who she didn't call his name, but all of us know (pretty much sure) that it was her ex-husband, blake jenner.

when i saw this and watched through the video, tears streamed down my face. it was a suprising news, although i absolutely know that even "celebs" have plenty of things we don't know about. but no one suspected this.

melissa is a bubbly, funny, always smiling person.

i love this woman so so much, she is an inspiration, a beam of light and her pain is unimaginable.... my heart is with her, always, but especially now, and i wish her all the strength and love this world can offer her, because she deserves the absolute best and more ❤❤❤❤❤

i hate men more specifically blake jenner and any man who has ever laid a hand on a woman

her wedding (she recently married ex-costar, chris wood, who is another person on my favourite people list) picture  caption about being lucky just hits so differently now after knowing what she endured.

i'm so shook that melissa benoist let the general public believe that she was cheating on her husband with her costar when in reality blake jenner was a domestic abuser the whole time. men truly are trash.

“be as nice to you as you are to me, and you’ll be doing better” - chris told this in an interview, that melissa tries to help him with these words.

it makes me so happy that chris is so nice to her that she tells him to treat himself the way he treats her, im so happy she’s in a loving and healthy relationship

yesterday night (us time), melissa was on james corden's late night show. accidentally, she was next to evan rachel wood (westworld) who went through domestic violence too.

The fact that both of them went through the worst kinds of abuse and still found a way to overcome it, shows how strong they are ❤️
