i'm totally obsessed with netflix right now (honestly, who doesn't???), they are doing the best films and serieses in the last few years, and i'm llooooviinnngg them!!!! let's see 3 new netflix teen drama you should watch right now!!!!! i mean it, folks, right now!!!!!!!

#1 candy jar

"is anyone not ready?"

this was the first one that i've looked forward to. just look at the trailer!!!!

i was like.... these are kinds in my age, they are facing problems that i do too (college application and all)... and they are super nerdy competetive, which are also relatable for me :D :D

the story is about Bennett (Jacob Latimore, who is awesome in the colleteral beauty, you should watch that too) and Lona (Sami Gayle, i had to google her to find out where i've seen her, and that's when i found the Vampire Academy, she played Mia in it), two high school nemesis (since forever kinda) who are in the debate team together, and now they have to work together a partners.

it was good to finally see a relatable, real nerd characters, because yeah, i know that the nerd, the geeks are actually that quirky know-it-alls as them. trust me.

the plot was unique, and has its twists and turns, fun to watch, and you even start to cry in some scenes

so everything is given to an awesome teen movie which also shows the anxiety of college amplications, smart, driven kids. it was smart, uptight girl falling for similarly smart-uptight guy

#2 the kissing booth

" we're all fucked up one way or another"

the kissing booth, starring Joey King, Joel Courtney and Jacob Elordi (for him, it's worth it, i mean, look at the body!!!), based of the book of Beth Reekles, who published the story here on Wattpad when she was teenager-ish.

some might say its trash (especially in the light of the two other movies), but it's golden trash!

the kissing booth is extremely cliche, predictable, cheesy and just plain corny. but who doesn't love that kind of movies? huh? you just enjoy watch it.

okay, there are some cringe-y and problematic moment in it, but i think, they don't really matter. okay, obviously, there are better movies out there, but its fun to watch, its just and easy teen movie about a girl and her best friend (since birth, literally), and the girls falls for her best friend's brother, and... i think you can figure out the end :D :D

#3 set it up

"you like someone because some of their quilities, and you love someone despite some of their quilities"

the literal cherry on our top!!! i mean... the best film i've seen in ages!!!! seriously!!!!

i've had really ambivalent feelings toward zoey deutch in a while now. i was obsessed with her in her beautiful creatures/vampire academy era, and i kinda... i wouldn't say hate, but i didn't like her in the cool kinds/everybody want some era. but this movie, i mean, shiiiiittttt, great!!!!

(and this is how i found glen powell, who is the brand new member of my harem :D :D <3 )

the story is about two hard-working assistant, who are setting up their bosses, to get some free time.

a new generation rom-com on steroids (see what i did here? because #justiceformonel :D :D), the good, the great, the best kind of rom-com. the acting is incredible. the main characters aren't stereotypes. everyone, even the side-characters have a freaking personality. the 'best friends' characters are AMAZING, they aren't there just for exposure purposes, they actually make the plot evolve. all these characters felt real, they all make mistakes and face consequences for those mistakes. the characters are relatable as hell. also, the CHEMISTRY between the main characters is so fucking incredible and natural.

it's fun and cliche, but not too overly cliche you'll roll your eyes. it's the type of cliche that will make you happy and believe in happiness again. this movie will truly leave you with a smile on your face. FUCKING AMAZING SOUNDTRACK. makes you want to fall in love. if you love rom coms, and you want to watch one that isn't a 'so bad that is good' rom com, 'set it up' will be the 'so good that is FREAKING AMAZING' rom com you've been waiting for.

btw, IT WAS WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY WOMEN.

another two netflix films that i look forward to: the guernsey literary and potato peel pie society (yeah, i remembered all that, i didn't need google for that, i'm serious) (starring lily james, michael huisman, glen powell) and to all the boys i've loved before (starring lana condor, noah centineo, israel broussard, janel parrish). i've read both books and they are amazing, and watching the trailers, i'm sure the movies will be equally amazing !!!!!!

okay so when i wrote this, tatbilb was not out, not talking about the second, so it was probably around 2018

some
