Alternate time and Universe traveling

They soared through the sky looking over the ocean.

"Is it just me, or is the sea a lighter blue?" the blue dragon asked.

"Oh, you mean the ocean is blue, fascinating," the black dragon growled.

"You know what, you shut up," the first growled.

"What are you, five?"

"I mean it, shut up or I'm leaving."

"THANK ANKHSERAM! Get out of here."

"Both of you, silence. Must I remind you what this could mean." the third black and blue dragon growled coldly.

"What?" the first asked.

"We aren't supposed to exist. When we stalled Tyregenium in the bonds of time we were supposed to be destroyed with him, as were the alternate universes and times we came from. But we didn't... that could mean one of two things - "

"I'm sorry, I seriously have no idea what your saying," the blue dragon laughed doing a few barrel rolls in the clouds.

"He's saying that if we survived... how do we know Tyregenium didn't?" the black dragon snarled.

That made the blue dragon stop playing, "Seriously!?"

"Or... we are stranded in a different time for eternity."

"Well that isn't too bad... I mean, if all the trees taste weird I could live with that."

"You aren't going to live that long if I'm stuck here with you."

"Oh, I'll grow on you... just you wait, I grow on everybody."

"Both of you-"

"Listen up, I'm about to rip you to pieces Serena 2.0," The black dragon snarled.

"I'll  take that as a complement."

"So help me you two, I'm about to - "

"What is that?" the black dragon asked gesturing with his snout to an island in the distance.

"Well we should be coming up on Tenrou island."

"That sure isn't Tenrou," the blue dragon said critically.

The island was level there were no trees or rocks, it was flat and covered in a soft blanket of green grass.

"What the heck?" the blue dragon asked.

"This is-"

"I don't like this"

"There's someone down there..." the third growled looking around.

"IT'S MAVIS!" the first shrieked in glee.

"Wait - "

"HEYYY MAVIS!" the blue dragon roared flying down.

"Wait!" The second hissed, he flew after the first and pinned him down a ways a way from the young girls standing in the center.

The three dragon rearranged themselves as they landed.

"What was that for?" the first asked.

"You idiot, can you not tell something is off!?" the second snarled.

They all looked to the girl who had her back turned to them, slowly she turned and faced them. She was surrounded by a soft glow and her eyes were distant.

"It's all right, and you three," she ordered with a smile. She looked to the Acnologia's, "Come on, you may transform, there is no reason to fear me... universe travelers."

"This magic power is-" the second began.

"Crazy," the first finished.

"She was never even close to this strong...."

"Its more then Zeref and the spriggan twelve combined..." the first gawked.

"She's on the same playing field as Tyregenium... Heck, she's at our level."

"You have no reason to worry," Mavis smiled raising her hands. "I have no reason to kill you."

"What a relief," the second answered sarcastically as they all transformed.

"I know you are not from this world, but I'm rather surprised that you got here..." Mavis continued.

"How?" The third asked.

"What?" Mavis asked.

"How did we get here?"

"Well first, I would like to ask a question," Mavis chuckled, "Are you good, or evil?"

"Yes" the first answered.

Mavis cocked her head clearly confused but her eyes were still distant.

The first Acnologia sighed, he gestured to the second, "Evil." he explained, then he pointed to the third, "Neutral," then he pointed to himself, "Pure, amazing, spectacular and wonderfully good."

"About to be good and dead," the second muttered.

"Well, I suppose I suspected as much," Mavis smiled.

"Would you mind explaining a few things? Like how you know we aren't from here?" The third Acnologia asked.

"Oh, that's simple," Mavis smiled, "I'm the mistress"

The three sat still expecting more. There was a long moment of silence.

"And... That means what exactly?" The first asked.

"Magic in this world didn't always exist. It was first found by Zeref, the first sorcerer who was searching for a way to revive his dead brother who died in a terrible accident," Mavis explained.

The third Acnologia leaned forward intently, "Go on," he coaxed.

"Years later he met a man who sought to overthrow the corrupted governments... that man, looked an awful lot like you... Acnologia."

The three stiffened.

"And what became of this Acnologia?"

"He was killed by the first sorcerer after the magic he learned corrupted him."

"There's no way I'd lose to that son of a -" the second objected standing up.

"Calm down," the third sighed, "This is important." He looked back at Mavis, "And?"

"After Acnologia's death, magic infected the first sorcerer... but he was able to control the corruption for a while... long enough to take in an apprentice."

"You," The third supposed.

"That's right... not long after that I lost him to magic's darkness. Slowly everyone with with magic was inflicted with a terrible curse... one that drove them all mad. Slowly they wiped each other out. "

"So they're all dead!?" The first Acnologia cried.

"That's impossible," the third remarked.

"Perhaps," Mavis nodded, "But in all my travels... I've never found another human in this world."

"This world?" The third asked.

"I am a universe traveler," Mavis answered, "I travel through the time universe and reach many different worlds."

"Time universe?" the second asked.

"The universe that you are tied to," Mavis explained, she waved her hand and suddenly they were in the bonds of time.

"Oh, this is bad," The first choked.

"Does this mean Tyregenium is-" The second asked.

"Whoever you speak of I very much doubt is alive. You see, the universe imploded a few years ago, I was only able to travel to three other universes."

"Three," the third contemplated.

"Yes," Mavis nodded, "I travel to different universes to master new magics... only I, out of all of my alternate selves have discovered this and I intended to keep it that way. But when the universe collapsed I had to halt my studies. The three universes I had access to were difficult to handle. I believe, they are your home universes."

"Home," the first breathed.

"We were separated from our universes long ago... how's that possible?" the second demanded.

"Your life forces tied yourself to those times and over many years the time universe remade itself freeing you, the last ties to the universe." Mavis explained, as she spoke a blue thread appeared, split into three threads and attached to the Acnologia's chests.

The bonds of time melted away as did the strings.

"I still have no clue what you're saying," the first stated.

"We came from different universes and in melding with the other Acnologia, we created a lifeline from the bonds of time to our homes... Tyregenium made no such lifeline. So when the bonds of time were destroyed Tyregenium died... but our lifelines stayed taunt until the bonds could remake themselves and then it spat us out in the nearest dimension." The third explained.

"Still don't understand," the first shrugged.

"Are you dumb or stupid!?" the second hissed.

"I like to think I'm entertaining," the second smiled.

"I'll give you entertaining!" the second growled moving to lunge for him. The third came between them.

"So, are we stranded here?" he demanded as he separated the two.

"No," Mavis said, "The universe is flexing, you are its new creators so I believe that you can change it as you wish... it will require practice though." Mavis explained

"So... like magic... we have to practice if we want to get better and change more," the first supposed.

"How long will that take!?" The second demanded.

"We can do it now..." the third explained, Mavis looked to him confused, "But we'll be taken to another random universe... we have lifelines but those lifelines require a certain energy and ever since we appeared in this world I've felt drained... not magic wise or energy wise but something was definitely low and I believe it was my ability to effect the bonds of time. We can't just jump universe to universe without energy and even when we do make the jump without proper training there's no saying where we'll end up... and even if we got home... wherever we decide that is there's no telling-"

"You're overthinking it," the first sighed clapping the third of the back.

"What?" the third asked.

"So, we need a cool down period after we go threw the "wormholes" right? And then we can make the "jump"." The first asked.

"Yes."

"So, that's what we do. We jump universe to universe until we get home!" the first smiled. "With cool down periods in between."

"And where is home?" The second asked.

"Well that's silly, its back with the kids!" The first laughed.

"The kids think we're dead." The second snarled.

"So we'll surprise them!" the first grinned.

"We aren't their Uncle..." the second sighed.

A cold silence descended.

"Then... why don't we go back to our homes... our original universe?" The first asked.

"I'm not going back to that hell." The second snarled.

"I'd rather not..." The third sighed.

"Then why don't you guys come to my dimension... It's fuuuunnnn," The first grinned.

"It doesn't matter we can't control where we go even if we do make the "jump" !" The third cried.

"Then we just make the jump until we find a place we like!" The first sighed, "We go with the flow!"

"There have been many universe travelers," Mavis interjected, he face shadowed, "But none have mastered it like I have and all have died terrible deaths."

"Wo-whoo for positivity," the first muttered.

"If you do decided to "Jump" universe to universe, time to time, you may change things in every universe you enter... are you willing to bear that responsibility?"

"We've done it before," the second muttered.

"We're kinda pros at responsibility," the first said proudly.

"We're gonna wreck everything," the third concluded.
