'This will be trouble...' Masayo thought doing the same thing as Greg

I was down in our teams waiting area with everyone else of Universal Alliance as we waited for the announcer to begin the matches deciding who goes first.

"If Tai fought with these guys their going to be tough..." Greg commented

"Yeah I know, I mean the fights Tai had were world class" Masayo agreed nodding at Greg

"Come on guys I wouldn't say that" Tai stated sweat dropping

"Either way we need to decided who will fight the first match" Charlotte added

Everyone was in deep thought thinking about what Charlotte said as I saw Tai raise his hand I was surprised.

"Tai you want to do it!?" Masayo said shocked

"Yeah knowing the guys of Team Radiance the leader Hachirou will want a rematch" Tai commented

"Aww come on Tai I wanted to go first" Greg complained crossing his arms

"Don't complain Greg" Charlotte said hitting him on the head

"Ouch! That hurt Charlotte!"

"In any case I think Tai should go first, Greg you can fight after alright?" Masayo said looking to Greg

"Fine...you better not lose to him Tai" Greg mumbled annoyed

"I won't" Tai said smiling

~Radiance Dugout~

"Well leader you gonna lead the assault?" The girl, Aya Suzuki asked

"Of course, knowing Tai he'll fight first since its our second meeting" Hachirou, team Radiance leader commented

"I might as well leave it to you two today considering our opponents" The third member, Naomi Tanaka said laying back on the bench in their dugout

Aya had sighed looking to Naomi with slight disappointment.

"Whatever, after all Hachirou is stronger now" Aya said looking to Hachirou as he walked out of the dugout

At this time Tai had left the dugout as well leading to the announcer making his call.

"Now ladies and gentleman we have two fighters that have faced off once before, first from Team Radiance we have their leader with mastery of the Shinobi its Hachirou Mori" The announcer said pointing to Hachirou

The crowd cheered as Hachirou walked up to the podium ready for the fight to begin, then the announcer faced to Tai's direction.

"Next up is the fighter that lead Team Mystic Flame to countless world class victory's, the blaze of hope, its Tai Rhinehart for Team Universal Alliance!" The announcer commented pointing to Tai

The cheers were louder for Tai as he reached his podium and at that moment the two fighters stared each other down.

"Long time no see Tai" Hachirou said

"Yeah, its been awhile since we fought" Tai said smiling

"Its a good thing I signed up for this cause now I get the chance to fight you again Tai"

"Lets make it a great fight Hachirou" Tai said grabbing his core deck case

"Yeah!" Hachirou agreed grabbing his core deck case

"Fighters! Luminize!" The announcer called out

"Ninjas that attacks the weak! Luminize! Shinobi's Journey!"

Hachirou's green core deck case transformed into a kunai knife.

"The blade of light and hope will lead us into the future! Luminize! Dream Shooters ∞!"

Tai's usual blue core deck case became a multi-coloured bracelet.

"Now! Buddy..." The announcer started

"Fight!" Everyone else said in unison

"Time to raise the flag!" Both fighters said in unison

"Katana World!" Hachirou announced

"Dragon World!" Tai announced

"I'll take the first turn" Hachirou stated

"Charge and draw"

"I call Sniping Ninja, Yoichi to the left and buddy call to the right Sky Ninja, Yamigarasu"

"The sky is my territory, you mess with me you'll feel my wrath"

"There it is already we have a buddy call by Hachirou" The announcer said

"Man is he trying to finish this quickly?" Greg asked

"Who knows, but those monster will be troublesome" Charlotte said

"Why?" Greg asked

"You'll see..." Charlotte said

"Yamigarasu attack the fighter"

"Kunai feather strike"

"First up I pay 1 gauge and set Green Dragon Knights, "Song of the Ancient Lands""

A green orb appeared next to my flag with the writing for Song of the Ancient Lands on it.

"A good start for Tai, with that when his Armordragons are called he'll gain a life" Charlotte stated

"I call Steel Gauntlet Dragon to the center, after gaining one life I'll call Twin Brudes Dragon to the right, gaining one more life"

"Twin Brudes will-"

"Before you continue your attack Yamigarasu's ability activates"

"Shadow Snare"

Yamigarasu attacked me causing my life to drop from 11 to 10.

"Woah how did he do that!?" Greg asked in shock

"Its Yamigarasu's ability" Masayo said

"Huh?" Greg asked tilting his head

"With that ability when the monster opposite him is rested the opposing player gets hit with one damage" Ishin said up in the stands at the same time Charlotte explained the same effect to Greg

"Say what!?" Greg said

"That kind of ability means he has to be careful when attacking" Masayo said

"Continue your assault on Yamigarasu"

"Double Lance Slam"

"I will return from the shadows"

"With his ability I gain 1 gauge and now Steel Gauntlet attack the fighter"

"Iron fist strike!"

"What does he mean by that?" Tsukomo asked

"My guess is he got 'that' spell" Ishin said to answer Tsukomo's question

"'That' spell?" Tsukomo questioned

"I think I know which one Ishin is referring to" Jessie said

"First I'll call Yamigarasu back to the right"

"I make my return ready to strike"

"Now I pay one gauge and set Final Showdown on the Great Gojo Bridge"

Unlike most set spells instead of forming an orb like Tai's my set spell turned into a giant red gojo bridge that covered the right and left monster zones.

"What is that spell?" Greg and Tsukomo in their seperate areas asked in unison

"Now with the Great Gojo Bridge we can only attack the center Tai"

"I remember quite well Hachirou"

"Wait is that true?" Tsukomo asked turning to Ishin

"Its true, while that set spell is in effect both players can't attack the monsters on the left and right areas" Ishin answered with a nod

"That means Tai can only attack the center" Tsukomo said

"Now I call Fire Streak Ninja, Gokuen to the center. Now I do a triple link attack on Steel Gauntlet"

"Kunai feather strike"

"Fire seal slash"

"Snipe fire"

I looked to my hand and saw a strategy come together as I grinned.

"Tai has an idea" Masayo said seeing his grin

"Really?" Greg asked as he tried to get a better look at the situation

In the stands Ishin had seen Tai's grin and closed one eye.

"Seems Tai has a plan for the turn" Ishin commented

"You think its a way to win on this turn?" Tsukomo asked

"We can only watch and see" Jessie stated

"Knowing him I think it will be" Yudai said with his arms on the back of his head

"First up I set Dragon Return System"

Another orb this one being red appeared and it floated up to the side of the green one with the text D.R.S written on it.

"I call Boomerang Dragon to the center and pay 2 gauge to buddy call Rising Flare Dragon to the left"

"With our powers combine Tai and I shall earn victory. Now burn in the rising burst"

"Grah!"

Gokuen was turned into orange squares by a fire blast launched at him by Rise.

"Since I called 2 Armordragons and made a buddy call I get 3 life, now Twin Brudes attack the fighter"

"Hold it, Yamigarasu activates his skill"

"Black feather strike"

My life went down from 13 to 12.

"Double Lance Slam"

"Rise attack the fighter"

"Yoichi activate your ability"

"Snipe strike"

I was hit with a bullet as my life dropped down from 12 to 11.

"I'll get pay back Tai, Rising blast!"

"Boomerang Dragon attacks next"

"I'm the wonder from down under"

'Darn...if only I had an Art of Body Replacement...'

"Boomerang Dragon returns to my hand which lets me charge 1 gauge with Dragon Return System. Now"

"Yep its over" Ishin said

"I cast Dragonic Charge to gain 2 gauge then go into Final Phase!"

"Yep with Dragonic Charge Tai now has 5 gauge which means..." Yudai commented

"Cast!"

A giant dragon arm flew from the sky to the top of a in-active volcano and as a fist punched into the volcano activating it and the others around it making lava flow out, the arm then pulled out a giant sword covered in flames and held it horizontally.

"Impact! Roaring Slash, Gargantua Punisher!!"

As I said that the dragon arm swung the sword towards Hachirou and in the blind of an eye the blade surrounded Hachirou and his flag turned into orange squares.

"Game Over, Winner Tai Rhinehart"

"Darn you beat me again..." Hachirou said

"What a finish folks! Tai Rhinehart has proven his skills by dropping Hachirou's life from 9 to 0 in an instant!" The announcer said earning cheers from the crowd

"It was a good fight Hachirou we need to battle again soon" Tai said with a grin

"Yeah you got it" Hachirou said heading back to his dugout

Tai had done the same as Hachirou heading back to the rest of us as we welcomed him after his victory.

"That was insane man! You took him down in a big way" Greg said with a grin

"It was nothing really" Tai said

"You did a good job Tai, it was great to watch" Charlotte agreed with Greg

"Okay now its my turn to fight!" Greg said running out of the dug out

"That guy always in a hurry" Charlotte commented

"Yeah but I know he can handle this" Masayo said smiling

~Meanwhile in the other dugout~

"You did your best" Aya said to Hachirou

"Yeah Tai was just too much this time. You better ready yourself Naomi" Hachirou said looking to Naomi

"Yeah I know, Aya you clear the way for me" Naomi said

"Fine" Aya said rolling her eyes then heading out to the field

"Moving right into the second fight from Radiance the girl of magic, she'll make your head spin and give you a show, its Aya Suzuki!" The announcer said as she walked onto the field earning cheers from the crowd reaching her podium

"Time to put on a show that will entrance all of them" Aya said

"Then from Universal Alliance, its the third member of the buddy police wonder trio, the hot blooded dragon kid, Greg Senyo!" The announcer introduced

Greg had jumped up onto the podium he was assigned to stand on as he stood confidently.

"My time to show my stuff has arrived!" Greg said with a grin

"Being cocky as always" Adelaide said with a chuckle as he appeared by Greg's side

"Oh come on Adelaide I get a chance to fight of course I'm excited to fight" Greg complained looking to Adelaide

"Typically of boys" A voice said from Aya's deck

In a flash of light the monster Artificial Angel, Virginie Casta appeared at Aya's side.

"Hey whats that supposed to mean!?" Greg and Adelaide yelled in unison looking to Virginie Casta

"Exactly what it sounds like" Virginie said with a smirk

"Oh thats it she's going down" Adelaide said

"Good thing I'm using 'that' for this one then" Greg said grinning

"Lets do it" Adelaide said

"About time we get started" Aya said taking out her core deck case as Greg did the same

"Time to Luminize!" The announcer called out

"Fighting dragons with fist of raging spirit! Blow a path through the foe to victory! Luminize! Grand Raging Dragons!"

Greg's usual brown core deck case became a stone dragon skull with the crystal on the forehead.

"The power that comes from within! Luminize! Magical Outbreak!"

Aya's purple core deck case transformed into a purple wizard hat as she put it on her head.

"Now that their Luminized. Buddy..." The announcer started

"Fight!" The crowd cheered as the fight began

"Time to raise the flag!" Both fighters said in unison

"Magic World!" Aya announced

"Ancient World!" Greg announced

"I'll start the show, charge and draw"

"I cast Trans-flame to deal you one damage"

A fire ball formed from the card and hit Greg burning him as his life dropped from 10 to 9.

"Next I pay 1 gauge and equip Gunrod, Bernstein"

A light formed in my hands as a musket like yellow staff appeared in my hands.

"Using its ability, I rest the item to deal an additional one damage"

I fired a magic bullet from the rod forming a black and red lined dot on Greg as his life turned to 8.

"I call Magician of Glass, Will Glassart to the right, he attacks the fighter"

"Mystical glass break!"

"With his skill I pay 1 gauge and draw"

"End of Move"

"Nice work genius because of you its 6 to 10" Adelaide complained looking at Greg

"Hey its not my fault I'm fighting a Magic World deck!" Greg yelled looking to Adelaide

"He seriously needs to keep his cool..." Charlotte mumbled sighing in annoyance

"That girl down there knows what she's doing. Her build really focuses on the damage to fighter and with Greg's he focuses on powerful monsters to protect himself. But he can't stop damage from spells and effects" Tsukomo commented in the stands

"Greg has it rough" Yudai said

"Enough of that. Draw, charge and draw"

"I cast Dragon Emperor Legend, getting one gauge, life and I draw"

"Now I set Dragon Arcadia"

A brown orb appeared near my flag that had the writing for Dragon Arcadia on it.

"Paying 2 gauge to call to the right Wicked Dragon Emperor, Billion Knuckle"

"You called chief? Time to bash some heads!"

"You know it! Now I pay 1 life to equip. Silver Fist Armor, Teruyuki"

A brown light formed on my left hand as I raised it to the sky and a shining silver dragon fist like gauntlet appeared on my hand and I grinned.

"Finally I call Dragon Kid, Ricky"

"Now I'll attack Glassart with Ricky"

"Your going down ki!"

"How dare you damage my art"

"My turn, Silver Fist Armor, Teruyuki!"

"I cast Solomon's Shield"

"Tch...Billion Knuckle finish the job"

"With pleasure chief, billion barrage!"

"I call Herb Magician, Soichiro Tenjiku to the left and another Glassart to the center. Then with Soichiro's ability I shall drop the gauge cost of Nice One to 0 to draw 2 cards. Now before I attack I use Bernstein's ability"

I fire another bullet at Greg as it hits him and creates a black dot with red lines and his life dropped to 5.

"I'm aware of those pesky abilities of those Raging Spirits of yours so I shall attack Billion Knuckle with a Link Attack"

"Glass blast!"

"Maxium, alvirador!"

"You may have me down-"

Billion Knuckle became orange squares but reformed from green squares.

"Billion's soulguard won't let him go down for long"

"My soul is not that weak! Counterattack!"

Glassart was punched by Billion Knuckle turning him into orange squares.

"Of course chief. Billion Barrage!"

"Now Ricky attack the fighter"

"Gotcha now ki!"

"It is time for me to enter this battlefield"

"Hey how are you able to have a size 1 on your field!?" Greg yelled

"Its Virginie's ability" Aya answered

"What?" Greg asked

"While I have a size 2 wizard on the field like Shadowflash her size becomes 0" Aya explained

"Learn the other worlds idiot" Adelaide said to Greg

"Hey shut it Adelaide!" Greg yelled facing Adelaide

"Typical, lets end this as soon as possible" Virginie said looking to Aya as she nodded

"I use Bernstein's ability to damage you"

A ball of fire and bullet hits Greg dropping his life from 6 to 5.

"Virginie take care of Billion Knuckle"

"With pleasure. Valkyrian Blast!"

"Good luck chief you can beat her"

"Ricky's Link-cut will prevent me from taking damage"

"With her double attack she takes aim at you"

"Crystal Rain!"

"Shadowflash attack you next"

"Shadow veil!"

"As it stands Greg needs to take the victory this turn" Charlotte said

"I can see why Charlotte" Masayo said

"With 2 life, to become 3 during his main phase she can easily end the match using a combo of spells to drop Greg's life" Tsukomo stated

"To avoid that its best he wins now" Ishin said

"He can win this" Masayo said with a smile

"Time to bring this to a close. Ready Adelaide?" Greg asked looking to his buddy

"About time, everybody should see the new me" Adelaide said in an 'about time' tone

"First I gain 1 life from Dragon Arcadia then I pay 2 gauge and buddy call! Silver Fist Dragon Emperor, Adelaide to the right!"

"Ready to take them down!"

Adelaide in his normal form flew towards the field but then in a silver flash his body was enveloped in a bright light as a crash was heard. As the light cleared it revealed Adelaide but this time he was a large bi-polar dragon with large spiked shoulders, a steel chest plate with a fist as a crest and a ripped jacket similar to Gang the Kings but in a silver colour and his fist were large titanium gauntlets with a crest like on the chest plate as he bashed them together.

"The silver fist dragon emperor has arrived!"

"Woah look at that" Masayo said amazed

"What do you know Adelaide has a new look and a good one" Charlotte commented

"That new forms gotta be tough" Yudai commented

"I see..." Tsukomo said with a grin

"It'll take more than that to beat me" Virginie said

"We'll see" Adelaide said confidently

"Since I have a Raging Spirit in the drop zone his power and defence rise by 2000. Ricky destroy Shadowflash!"

"Take this ki!"

"He made a nice move, now she can't use its ability to block an attack" Tai said

"Now Adelaide take down Virginie!"

"Don't gotta tell me twice! Chrome Beatdown!"

"Damn you dragon.."

"Now Penetrate!"

"Time to end this, I attack the fighter!"

"Well played..."

"Silver Fist Armor, Teruyuki!"

Aya's life dropped to 0 and her flag turned into orange squares.

"Game Over, Winner Greg Senyo"

"Wow, wow, wow! Look at that folks an intense match with a grand victory for Greg Senyo, thanks to him Team Universal Alliance moves onto the next round!" The announcer stated

"You were a great opponent" Greg said with a grin

"I must agree on that. You played well Greg Senyo" Aya said heading back to the dugout

Greg headed back to our dugout as well and we congratulated him on his victory.

"It was nothing really" Greg said with a grin

"Yeah cause I was doing all the work" Adelaide in his SD form said with a smirk

"Hey it was me Adelaide!" Greg said yelling at Adelaide

"I was the one fighting idiot!" Adelaide countered

The two were face to face lightning sparking between them and Charlotte hit their heads leaving a bump.

"You two need to calm down" Charlotte scolded them causing Masayo to sweat drop

Adelaide and Greg look at each other and after a second just laugh as if nothing happened. With his win Universal Alliance are one step closer to the finals.

A little message to go to the end of this really long chapter. I hope everyone liked the double dose of buddy fights and Team Radiance doesn't belong to me. They belong to shoguninfinite you should definitely check him out and his buddy fight book if you haven't already and I wanna take a moment to apologise to him in the off chance I didn't use his characters as well as they should have been in this chapter.
