Chapter 7 - Teaming up

They'd been waiting for a couple minutes before they heard a knock on the door.

"Is that him?" Amber asked.

"Nobody else visits me." Allister nodded, walking over and opening the door.

When Allister opened the door, his uncle was standing at it.

"Hold on. I've met you before." Seymour tilted his head once he seen his uncle.

"That you have." The man nodded, it was Nostradamus.

"How do you guys know each other?" Allister asked, letting Nostradamus in.

"We met at the palace." Seymour answered.

"The Palace?" Allister raised a brow.

"Yes, Al. This is the-" Nostradamus began.

"Oh my god, I nearly killed the princess!" Allister covered his mouth.

"You what?" Nostradamus questioned.

Allister looked to the ground before he brought Nostradamus to the sleeping Sparrow, for now.

"Don't blame Allister, sir. We didn't know what was wrong from the start so he had to guess." Alec stepped forward.

Nostradamus nodded before he walked up to Sparrow, "He's still learning. What did you give her, Al?"

"This and some water." Allister passed him the jar.

Nostadamus sniffed the jar, "And how did she get like this?"

"Some toxins in the water, I assume." Allister told him.

"I can heal her. But it will take time." He sighed.

"Hey guys, what did I miss?" Fenna asked, walking down the stairs.

"Weird guy from the castle is Allister's uncle." Seymour shrugged.

"And Sparrow?" Fenna asked causing Allister to walk over and hug her.

"I nearly killed her." Allister whispered.

"She's not dead through." Fenna reminded him.

"But I could've." Allister muttered.

"Come on, Allister." Fenna sighed, leading him up the stairs.

"I'm sorry." Allister sighed.

Fenna sat him down on the bed next to Amy.

"Listen, it wasn't your fault. They asked too much of you." Fenna patted his head.

"I tried to save her, I really did." Allister looked at Fenna.

"I know you did." Fenna gave him a smile.

"She'll be okay, right?" Allister asked.

Fenna paused before nodding,"Of course she will. Now how about you have a nap to relax?"

"But what if something goes wrong and I'm needed?" Allister questioned.

"I'll wake you, don't worry." Fenna assured him.

Allister hesitated before he lay back in his bed.

"Sleep well kid." Fenna made her way to the door.

"Night Fen." Allister yawned.

Fenna then gently closed the door and walked back downstairs. When Fenna came back downstairs, she seen Nostradamus walk out the room that Sparrow was in.

"So... Anything new?" Fenna asked hopefully.

"I've gave her an anti-toxin. She should wake up soon." Nostradamus assured her.

"That'll make our little buddy feel better." Fenna sighed, taking a seat.

"Although, everyone is still looking for her." Nostradamus sighed, "They still think she's been kidnapped."

"I didn't kidnap her, I just took her for a while." Fenna crossed her arms.

"It's been a few days." Nostradamus nodded.

"So?" Fenna asked, not sure what was wrong with her.

"They're looking for you aswell." Nostradamus informed her.

"Fenna, weren't you told to be careful?" Seymour questioned her.

"I was." Fenna told him.

"But yet she made a portal infront of all of the royals." Nostradamus sighed.

"You what?!" Seymour yelled.

"I can neither confirm nor deny this." Fenna raised her hands.

"I can confirm." Nostradamus nodded, "If you're going to use magic, infront of mortals, then you need to be careful."

"You're right, I should've killed them all." Fenna sighed.

"No!" Alec tapped her arm, "No killing."

"But there was a girl in a pink dress and she was really ugly." Fenna whined.

"Natasha?" Nostradamus asked.

"Is that her name? She was ugly." Fenna stated.

"That's Sparrow's sister." Nostradamus spoke slowly

"And?" Fenna shrugged,"She'd look much hotter on fire."

"We're not setting Natasha on fire." A familiar voice said from behind them all, "Not again, anyway."

"Buy why?" Fenna questioned leaning back.

"Because we're not setting her on fire." Sparrow crossed her arms, "As much as I want to. She's already been on fire before." She stated.

"You girls were five." Nostradamus sighed.

"And I'm twenty, what's the difference?" Fenna asked him.

"A child can be excused. An adult, cannot." Sparrow answered, "But, if she does anything out of hand, I give you my full permission."

"Yay!" Fenna clapped, standing back up.

"Only if I give you permission." Sparrow sighed.

**

"I can't believe this!" Amala yelled, walking into the mortal realm.

"They outsmarted us again." Falon, the frog jumped beside Amala.

That's when Amala bumped into a girl, she was wearing a light pink dress. Natasha.

"Watch where you're going, can't you see that I'm walking here?" Natasha rolled her eyes.

"Apparently not." Amala crossed her arms, looking her up and down,"You a princess or something?"

"Yes, and you should apologise." Natasha scoffed.

"I happen to be a princess as well but the kicked me out! It's all that fire witches fault!" Amala shouted, referring to Fenna.

"Fire witch?" Natasha raised a brow.

"Yeah, why do you sound like you know something?" Amala asked her.

"A fire witch kidnapped my sister and now she's getting all the attention." Natasha rolled her eyes.

"Kidnapped sister, huh?" Amala tilted her head,"How about we do something about this witch."

Natasha looked at Amala, "What do you have planned?:

"Execution." Amala smirked.

"And my sister?" Natasha asked.

"You can decide, I'm only after the witch that stole everything from me." Amala shrugged.

"Alright. Then.. We need to get to the Palace." Natasha nodded.

"Lead the way then." Amala stepped aside, ready to walk.

"May I get your name?" Natasha asked while they walked.

"Amala, you?" Amala answered her.

"Natasha." Natasha hummed, "Now, to the Palace."

When they arrived, Amala looked up at the castle,"Now what?"

"We go inside. You explain that you know where the fire witch is, I can back you up on it. We bring them here, you get your happy ending, and I get mine." Natasha explained.

"Seems like a plan to me." Amala nodded.

"Right. Let's go." Natasha nodded before she walked into the Palace.

"This is quite nice actually." Amala told her.

"Why thank you." Natasha walked through the doorway.

Amala sat down once they walked in,"What now Natasha?"

"I'll go get my parents, I'll be right back." Natasha skippped off.

"What an odd mortal, trusting in a complete stranger." Amala sighed.

After a few minutes, Natasha came back with an older woman and man, both wearing crowns. The king and Queen.

"Ah, your majesties." Amala bowed, despite not caring about these strangers.

They both nodded to her.

"Natasha informed us that you have information on my daughters kidnapping?" Henry asked.

"That I do. My people and I have been made aware of portals being made." Amala began,"I also witnessed your daughter and the witch, she's been brainwashed by her."

"Just like I mentioned. If Sparrow is being brainwashed, then she can't be fit for Queen." Natasha turned to Catherine, knowing she'd be on her side.

"It could be reversed, all I know is that witch is evil." Amala added in.

"So you're saying, that Sparrow could be the one brainwashing?" Catherine raised a brow.

"No, it's the fire witch. Everything she touches or speaks to falls under her spell of evil." Amala sat back down.

"Do you know where they are?" Henry crossed his arms.

"Of course I do." Amala nodded.

"Tell us." Another woman said while she walked into the room, she kinda looked like Sparrow slightly.

"She's currently in the realm of the witches with the fire witch, two Werewolves, a boy and your Seer." Amala informed them.

"Nostradamus?" Catherine asked in shock.

"If that's his name, yes." Amala nodded.

"Are you sure?" Catherine asked for confirmation.

"Old guy with the stubby beard?" Amala raised a brow.

"That's correct." Catherine nodded.

"So, what are we going to be doing about this?" Amala asked them.

"You two will go get them. Bring them back and we can decide the witches fate." Henry stated.

"I say we execute her, she's a criminal." Amala suggested.

"And she's putting Sparrow's life in danger." Catherine told Henry and Diane.

"Not to mention how she stole my husband, turned my kingdom against me and has endangered my life in a past conflict." Amala crossed her arms.

"We have to stop them." Natasha looked at her parents, but not even looking at Diane.

"Sorry for questioning this but, who are you?" Amala asked, tilting her head at Diane.

"I'm Sparrow's mother." Diane crossed her arms, answering her.

"Ah, the one that's been kidnapped." Amala nodded,"Well, what are we waiting for Natasha?"

"Of course." Natasha nodded, turning to the adults, "We shouldn't be long."

"Let's hope." Amala said to herself, walking out with Natasha.

"So how long, will this take? Because I have duties, y'know?" Natasha asked Amala.

"It all depends on how fast we can catch them." Amala told her, drawing a line with her finger and making a portal,"Heh, after you."

Natasha looked at Amala, "I'm sorry, you expect me to go through that?"

"Do you want that crown or not, honey?" Amala questioned her.

Natasha looked back at the portal before she walked through it. Amala smirked, following after her new 'friend'. No, not friend. Pawn.

**

"We didn't get the relic. What are we going to do now?" Alec sighed.

"We can always come back l-" Seymour began as Allister ran in, clearly panicked.

"Allister, whats wrong?" Sparrow asked.

"She's coming. She's coming to get us." Allister informed them, hands shaking.

"Who?" Seymour raised a brow while Sparrow walked over to Allister, taking ahold of his hands.

"Amala. Her and her new friend." Allister stated.

"Her new friend?" Nostradamus asked, "Who?"

"I don't know who she is but I can feel them getting closer. It's because of this." Allister pulled up his sleeves to reveal some glowing purple markings.

"What do the markings mean, Allister?" Sparrow questioned.

"Witches have different gifts that are reflected by their markings. Allister's is being able to sense danger." Nostradamus explained to her.

"Are they near us?" Alec asked Allister.

Allister closed his eyes for a moment before they shot back open,"We need to leave. Now."

"Now?" Seymour asked.

Allister nodded quickly, pulling Fenna off the couch.

"Where will we go?" Alec asked while Amy ran into the room with Amber on her back.

"Fenna, make a portal to Brandy Cottage." Seymour told her.

"Untraceable. Smart boy." Fenna lit up her hands, making a portal on the wall.

Seymour smiled before they all went through the portal.

**

"This is where they are?" Natasha asked, holding up her dress so it didn't get mucky.

Amala nodded before stopping,"The trace, it's fading! Hurry up!"

"I'm trying! Do you know how expensive this was?" Natasha whined.

Amala burst through the door and saw the portal as it began fading. She quickly rushed over and examined the magic as it disappeared.

Natasha stumbled into the hut, letting her dress fall down again, "So?"

"They appear to have fled to Brandy Cottage. I never should have let that child live." Amala shook her head.

"There's a child?" Natasha looked up at Amala.

"A boy, thirteen years old. His ability is sensing danger." Amala informed her,"He must have warned them."

Natasha nodded slowly, "We're just going after the witch and my sister, right? No one else?"

"They have a small group with them but yes, they're our main targets." Amala told her, walking into the kitchen.

Natasha nodded, "And where is this Brandy Cottage?"

"All we need is my navigator." Amala looked down at Falon,"Collect him, will you?"

Falon croaked before he jumped up, doing a twirl before he disappeared.

"He'll be back soon." Amala assured Natasha.

"The frog just disappeared." Natasha pointed to where Falon was.

"I know, he's getting my Navigator." Amala told her.

"Navigator?" Natasha raised a brow.

"He will take us to Brandy Cottage." Amala nodded, scanning Allister's cupboards.

"And how long will it take for your navigator to get here?" Natasha raised a brow.

"You ask a lot of questions, don't you?" Amala asked, putting things in it her bag.

"I'm curious." Natasha shrugged.

"Man, he's got some useful stuff." Amala muttered, tossing a jar to Natasha.

Natasha jumped and just caught the jar in time.

"And what is this?" She opened the jar and smelt it.

"For beauty, thought you'd want it." Amala answered, sitting down.

Natasha looked at Amala before she slowly closed the jar, putting it back down on the counter. That's when they heard some noises from the other room.

"Bring him through, Falon." Amala ordered.

Falon croaked, "He's not- Ah!"

And then a thump came, and a man came running out the room.

"Novi, there you are." Amala greeted him,"You're needed."

"I do recall myself saying that I wished not to work for you anymore, Amala." Novi sighed, brushing some dust off of him.

"Your opinion is not valid." Amala stood up and walked over to him.

Novi backed up slightly, "What do I get in return?"

"Well, what do you want?" Amala asked.

"To go live with my family. Like I've been asking for the past four years." Novi replied.

Amala rolled her eyes,"I guess you can, you're getting old anyway."

"I'm only hundred and thirty seven!" Novi defended.

"My point, now take me and my partner to Brandy Cottage before I change my mind." Amala ordered.

Novi looked at Natasha before he clapped his hands and the three disapparated away.
