The hoard of Scarabs crawled through the sand, taking Felicia to the safest place in the ruins. The man-eating beetles soon laid the redhead onto the sandy ground, and the insects disappeared, leaving her alone in a room with an ancient sarcophagus near her.

A gasp escaped Felicia's lips, and she awakens from her slumber. Her bright green eyes opened, and she looked at her surroundings, realizing that she was in a dark room. She sat up, and her eyes widened when she saw the torches in the room began to get lit, causing her to see clearly.

" Where am I?" Felicia asked herself, and she slowly stood up while eyeing her surroundings warily.

Felicia stood still when she saw a sarcophagus next to her. Her bright green eyes widened, staring at the sarcophagus in wonder and disbelief.

" It's a sarcophagus," Felicia whispers as she turns to stare at the sarcophagus in awe.

Felicia tilts her head to the side as she silently studies the sarcophagus in front of her. She hummed when she noticed that the sarcophagus looked so much bigger than the other sarcophagus she had seen in different Museums throughout the US.

' This sarcophagus is black in color, but with all this dust, it turned into a grimy dark grey color,' Felicia tells herself while placing both of her hands on the sarcophagus.

" This person must have been of some importance since the second-largest sarcophagus I have seen belong to a Pharaoh," Felicia confessed.

Felicia's bright green eyes blinked when she realized that she was somehow holding the key that could open many things in the ruins of Hamunaptra.

" Open it," A faint feminine voice that reminded Felicia of Hathor softly speaks to her.

Felicia looked at the key in her hand and then at the sarcophagus with a conflicted gaze. She lightly bites her lips because she knows the number one rule of being an Archaeologist is not to open Ancient artifacts, especially sarcophagus, since she has heard that plenty of them have curses along with them.

' And that is how many Archaeologists die because they mess with Ancient artifacts,' Felicia tells herself.

" You need to awaken your Soul Mate," Hathor's echo-like voice reminded Felicia.

Felicia nervously stepped back from the sarcophagus as she stared at it with wide bright green eyes. She looks away and stares at the key in her grasp.

' What does she mean by awakening, my Soul Mate?' Felicia asked, looking and sounding conflicting.

Felicia's train of thoughts gets disturbed by the sound of an explosion coming from behind her. She slowly turns her head back, seeing a group of somewhat familiar faces entering the room.

" You're alive?" A familiar masculine voice asked.

Felicia's bright green eyes squinted, and her eyes widened when she realized that Dr. Chamberlain and his posse were standing in front of her.

" What the hell are you?!" Henderson shouts while pulling his gun out and aiming it at Felicia staring at her in disbelief and wary.

David does the same thing, thinking that Felicia is some Witch that somehow survived those man-eating Scarabs.

Beni stared at Felicia with mixed emotions since he for sure thought he saw her die right in front of him.

' Do O'Connell's have some sort of luck that they can somehow survive Death?' Beni asked while staring at Felicia with a conflicting gaze.

Dr. Chamberlain's eyes immediately spotted the key in Felicia's grasp.

' What is it with this girl having so many Ancient artifacts with her?' Dr. Chamberlain asked, looking and feeling envious.

" Shoot her!" Dr. Chamberlain ordered, looking and feeling annoyed by Felicia's presence.

Henderson and David grinned as they placed their fingers on the trigger of their guns.

" I hate that I have to shoot off your gorgeous face, Sweetheart. But, what the Bossman says has to go through," Henderson mumbled.

Felicia's bright green eyes intently stared at Henderson's eyes.

' Hathor says that I can control anyone by my voice while staring at them,' Felicia tells herself, and she begins to experiment on her supernatural abilities.

" Don't shoot!" Felicia firmly speaks.

Henderson's eyes blanked when he heard Felicia's voice firmly telling him not to shoot her.

David glanced at Henderson, and he noticed that he hadn't shot Felicia.

" Shoot her, Henderson!" David shouts.

Henderson didn't budge as he and Felicia continued to stare at one another intently.

" If you are not going to shoot her, I will!" David snapped as he aimed his gun at Felicia, and he shot her.

The sound of a gunshot grabbed Felicia's attention, and she broke her trance with Henderson. And she stumbled backward and gasped in surprise when she felt the bullet hit her shoulder.

Beni's eyes widened when he saw Felicia stumbling backward to the sarcophagus.

Felicia puts pressure on her shoulder with her free hand to stop the bleeding. Meanwhile, her other hand subconsciously pressed the key onto the sarcophagus, and she twisted it as she fell to the side.

The diggers immediately noticed what Felicia had done, and they ran away in fear, which Beni saw.

" She awakened the Demon!" The diggers mumbled in Arabic.

From the little Arabic that Beni knew, his eyes widened in disbelief and fear when he heard that Felicia had unknowingly awakened some kind of Demon.

" Shoot her! She will eventually die. Then we can take those treasures off of her," Dr. Chamberlain ordered.

Felicia warily stared at Henderson and David, looking and feeling helpless. She immediately closed her bright green eyes, thinking that she was going to die.

" Help me," Felicia unknowingly speaks in Ancient Arabic while her ring starts to glow brightly.

Henderson and David were about to shoot Felicia, but they stopped when the room started to shake.

Beni begins to panic, and his eyes widened in horror when he sees the top of the sarcophagus get opened, more like something kicked it.

Beni knew right away that this Demon the diggers were talking about had awakened.

" I'm leaving! Screw the money. You are all going to die," Beni turns around, and he flees the room.

Dr. Chamberlain heard what Beni said, and he turned his head back, realizing that Beni and the diggers had run away.

Felicia slowly opens her bright green eyes, realizing that she isn't dead yet. Her eyes blinked when she saw that Henderson and David were aiming their guns at something. She couldn't see due to feeling so much pain in her right shoulder, but she knew that it was to her left.

David and Henderson watched the dust disappeared as their eyes widened in horror and disbelief when they saw a Mummy slowly rising itself from the sarcophagus.

Dr. Chamberlain stared at the Mummy with mixed emotions. He knew right away that this being was dangerous and could kill him and the two treasure hunters in the room.

" Let's go! Let that thing kill the girl," Dr. Chamberlain firmly speaks as he turns around, and he runs out of the room.

Henderson and David looked at one another as they nodded their heads, and they ran out of the room with Dr. Chamberlain.

Felicia watched the three men leave the room in disbelief as she began to wonder what scared them. Curiosity got the best of her, and she used her strength to turn her gaze to the left.

Felicia's bright green eyes widened when she saw the Mummy. She froze when she saw the Mummy slowly turning their gaze at her.

Tears started to fall from Felicia's bright green eyes, thinking that the Mummy would kill her.

The Mummy silently stared at Felicia, and their head tilted when they stared at her.

Felicia opened her mouth to say something, but a scream escaped her lips since the bullet in her wound was unknowingly trying to get pushed out by her Demigod healing.

The Mummy could sense and see Felicia's pain, and they got out of the sarcophagus.

Felicia stared at the Mummy with mixed emotions, thinking that they got out to kill her.

" I-I," Felicia stuttered while tears fell from her bright green eyes.

The Mummy stared at Felicia's bleeding shoulder. They carefully pulled the sleeve of the shirt to the side, revealing her bloody shoulder.

Felicia's gasped, thinking that the Mummy was attracted to her blood, and they would pull her arm off to eat it.

The Mummy saw something sticking out of Felicia's bleeding shoulder. They carefully grabbed the bullet and pulled it out of her bloody shoulder.

" Gah!" Felicia screamed, feeling so much pain when the Mummy pulled the bullet out of her bloody shoulder.

Felicia felt her vision get heavy as she fainted from exhaustion.

The Mummy felt some weight against them, and they saw Felicia unconscious with her head against their chest.

The Mummy picked Felicia up as they turned and carefully placed her in the sarcophagus. They stared down at her, and their hand gently touched her whole face. They then caressed the necklace around her neck and stopped at the ring she was wearing on one of her fingers.

The Mummy pulled their hand back as they put their hands in front of them, and they gently pulled the worn linen down, revealing their peach-colored lips.

" Bahiti," The Mummy whispers. Their voice sounded masculine and velvety as they spoke in Ancient Arabic.

The Mummy continued to stare down at Felicia, and his peach-colored lips frowned when he realized that someone had injured the love of his life.

Soon a hoard of Scarabs appeared as they surrounded the sarcophagus to protect Felicia, who is currently slumbering.

The Mummy knew that the Scarabs would eat anyone who tried to get to Felicia. He soon disappears as a gust of sand with intent to kill those that harm his Desert Flower.
