Last month, we wrapped up Rewind the Classics and are excited to judge the High Fantasy entries! There was a lot of participation, so we thank you for those submissions. Shiver Me Timbers is still ongoing.

During September, we featured our next author Benhauthor with their book Merlin's Curse in our book for Book of the Month. You can read the interview with them here.
Monthly Activities
In August, we hosted the Challenge Drabble #2 in our book Monthly Activities. During September, we announced the winners of the Challenge Drabble #2 on our Message Board.

Questions for September
We have seen many witches and wizards in books, movies and tv shows. Which character inspires you the most? And why?
Sarah_Horanson - I think Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter, because he always has a solution. He is always positive, and has really inspiring words. Like this one: "Happiness can be found in the darkest places, if only you remember to turn on the light."
Swanfeather_ - Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, because she's (for some reason) really like me.
Werepanther - Circe and Kalypso from "The Odyssey". Two powerful beings left behind in their own islands making ends meet. Any adaptation of these figures are great but the Madeline Miller novella of "Circe" was simply spectacular. Made her a young woman first then a witch and it was a grand display of a character reaching her empowerment and confidence against the gods and her family. Even against her own expectations.
BrittanyBWrites - Willow Rosenberg from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Yennefer of Vengerberg from the Witcher, because both are strong women who can kick some ass and also be confident enough to understand the situation.

LandonSteele - Certainly, I often wear a quartz crystal, but I always carry my little charm against the evil eyes. ✨
Becca_Blackmoon - A crystal crescent moon, a Jewish curse-reflecting amulet and a red string on my left wrist also as protection against curses. 😊
