1. Prologue: Memories

Natsu's P.O.V

I woke up in a room which had its floors and walls made of bricks of stone. It was fairly small, and only had a small bed, a bookshelf, and a nightstand in it, along with a few chairs. There was only one window, so I hesitantly got to my feet and peek outside, only to see miles and miles of land stretching far out below me, the red brick roofs looking like tiny splotches dotting the horizon as the sun peaked out from the tops of the endless houses, green meadows of grass and flowers popping out every now and then. I craned my head to the right to see the same view, the only difference being a strip of green- and I mean a whole straight strip- extending beyond the horizon. I looked to the left to face the same trail of grass.

Wait- where was this place, anyways?!?!?!?!

I searched out the window frantically, scanning for any hints of the location. Nothing. But I did notice that I was currently in A FREAKING CASTLE! And one of the towers no less! In fact, I was in the tallest tower a the view of the whole entire city- that is, if this was a city. It could be a town- wait, who an I kidding. No town has a freaking castle in it.

Wait. Who cares where I am, but why am I here? Was I kidnapped?! Abducted?! Held Hostage?!?!

"Are you awake, Natsu-san?"

I swiveled around to find a petite girl with long, silky dark blue hair sitting in one of the chairs, facing me. Her eyes were closed as she smiled at me, although the white cat draped in her arms let out a little 'hmph.' This was probably her room.

At her smile, my shoulders eased a bit. For all I know, she might have been my kidnapper, but that didn't stop me from having the feeling that she was oddly familiar- I just couldn't put my finger on it.

"Who are you?" I asked.

Her brown eyes opened, reflecting sadness as her smile slowly turned into a frown.

"You don't remember?" she asked, her voice pleading that I did.

I thought back. Did I know her? From when? How did we meet? Was she even telling the truth about knowing me? I searched my memories further, and found a gaping, empty hole. But I did remember something- Igneel!

"Where's Igneel?!" I shouted, swiveling my head around and scanning the room, but not finding him. Instead, my eyes landed back on the girl, who looked at me with frightened eyes, her lower lip quivering.

"Where is he?!" I demanded, grabbing her by the shoulders.

She stared into my eyes for a moment, tears spilling out of her own brown orbs every second longer they held mine. "I'm sorry. Natsu-san, Igneel-san- no," she said, shaking her head and looking down with guilt that I could tell she had no need for, "your father is missing."

Time froze. Missing Now way. It couldn't be true. Igneel just couldn't be missing. He couldn't be. There was no way- no possible way he could have gone missing! He was a dragon! A freaking dragon, goddammit! How?! How?!

I fell to the ground, not noticing that I was crying, and not caring. I was too upset over the news. I didn't even know if the girl was trustworthy- but her smile, her voice, her genuine tears- I couldn't help but feel like she was right. That she would never tell a lie- not even if her life depended on it.

I looked down at my palms and clenched them. Wait, why were they bigger? I took a moment to scan my body and noticed that my whole body had grown larger- no, I had grown! I had grown older!

Forgetting about Igneel's disappearance for a moment, my head jerked back up at the crying girl, whose cat was looking at her with sad eyes.

"What happened to me?" I asked hoarsely. "My body... I've grown. How could that have happened? The last I remember I was 11- wait..." I sucked in a breath, "how old am I right now?"

She hesitated a moment before answering, "18."

The breath that I had been holding suddenly hitched, nearly choking me. "7 years. You said earlier that I didn't remember. I lost my memories of the last 7 years," I croaked, not being able to believe it myself.

I looked down at the floor, tears pooling in my eyes. I didn't even bother trying to stop them as they fell. I was in too much shock to care- to even notice, for that matter.

Almost immediately, the girl set down her cat, who didn't object and just looked on with sad eyes, and fell down to the ground with me, wrapping me into a hug. For a moment- one too short for my liking- I forgot everything. She was so warm, so loving. Although it didn't last long, in that moment, I was able to let go, to break through. Let go of my pride that prevented my from crying openly and break through the dam behind my eyes, the wall blocking the tears. I fell apart in her arm- a sobbing and crying and wailing mess, and she let me. She stroked by hair, patted my back, whispered soothing words into my ear, but more importantly than anything else, she was there. Like a mother I had never known, like a sister I had never met- she stayed by me until my tears dried and me sobs were reduced to sniffs. Even so, she held on. I felt safe, at peace in her arms. Before I knew it, I had lost conscious.

~*.*-*.*~*.*-*.*~*.*-*.*~

I once again woke up in a room made entirely of stone bricks, but this time, I wasn't alone. Ten others were there two- one of them being the girl from earlier. Her cat was gone. I also noticed that I was in a bed this time. I heaved a bit and propped myself up on an arm. I still felt a little woozy from all the crying earlier, but after a few seconds, I was able to position myself so that I leaned against the wall.

"Are you awake, Natsu-san?" the blue-haired girl asked me, seeing me get up.

Her voice sounded loud in the quiet room, but it was soft and soothing at the same time, and the few others who were awake didn't say or do anything, not even glancing in my direction. I was glad for that, I didn't want them to see my face, just in case my eyes were still a little puffy.

I nodded, although I felt like the response was a little late. I smiled anyway and gave a slight nod in return.

I scanned the room some more. There were 10 beds in total, all occupied. Two of the others in the room were unconscious, still sleeping soundly. White curtains were between each of the beds, but they were pulled back so we could see each other. Cabinets lined the room and a scale stood by the door, right next to a chart of random letters growing smaller as they went down hanging on the wall. We were in a medical room. (A/N: I tried to describe how they looked when they were last shown in the episodes.)

I scanned each of the people there. In the first bed was a tall and buff man with spiky blond hair, although he had a small tuft of it that wasn't slicked back in the front of his head. His eyes were closed, so I couldn't determine his eye color, but there was a distinct lightning bolt-shaped scar on his right eye. His thick blond eyebrows started around where his nose started, quite close to each other, and jutted upwards as they went out, before jutting down about a centimeter before they ended. He donned a raven black shirt, blood-red pants, and a black jacket with grey, feathery tufts lining it, the sleeves covering all of his arms, to the point where one could no longer see his hands.

In the second bed was another tall and buff man whose eyes were also closed, his wild long pale green hair in spikes that were held in place by a black headband across his head that also covered his eyebrows, but otherwise flowed freely. He had four black lines, resembling warpaint, on his chin, and had dark black tattoos on both of his shoulders: something that resembled a wing over a think dot. He wasn't wearing a shirt, but over his neck was a golden band beneath a necklace that was in the pattern: two small white beads followed by a red-orange bead that was considerably larger than the white ones that resembled a fang, then repeat. He had bandages from his wrist to about two-thirds of his arm, not yet reaching his elbow. He wore grey pants that were tucked into his black boots that was covered by a cloth with tiger-prints lined with white tufts and secured around his waist by a brown band.

The third bed was occupied by a bored looking man with blood red eyes and long, bold, spiky hair that reached down to his lower back. He wore a yellow and dark blue skirt-like armor with a red ribbon tied around the waist that exposed the right side of his chest, which bore a strange black tattoo, and his right shoulder. I don't know why, but I had a bad feeling about him, especially his tattoo. It was also a bit suspicious how everyone in the room had puffy eyes, even if only a little, but he didn't. Also, he kept his hands under his sheets, which looked quite suspicious to me.

In the fourth was a slim man of average height that looked around my age- maybe a year or two older, but not by much. He had tanned skin and upward-styled maroon hair, aside from the tuft over the center of his forehead and the two bands framing the sides of his face. His eyes were closed, so I couldn't tell their color, but I did note that he had a rather flat nose and pointy ears, like that of an elf. He wore a black shirt under a red vest, and over that wore a white coat lined with tan far, and also wore black pants with a belt.

The fifth bed had a tall man my age with extremely long spiky black hair that was held by a red headband with two zigzag white lines in the middle. His eyes were red and had metal studs all over his body, even over his eyes that somewhat served as eyebrows. He wore a black shirt that was tucked into his baggy tan pants that were tucked into his black boots. He had black gloves rimmed with grey that exposed the fingers and a thick black band covering each of his elbows. He had a black tattoo that looked like a fairy on his left shoulder.

The sixth bed was occupied by another man around my age with raven black hair and dark blue eyes. He had a scar above his left eye that was partially covered by his hair. He didn't wear his shirt, but had a silver chain necklace with a silver cross hanging from it that contained a blue stone in the middle. He wore swamp green pants held together bay a brown belt and on his feet were brown shoes. He also had these three weird tattoo looking things on his right arm and chest. The largest and most noticeable was a black tattoo that looked almost like flames coming from his wrist and covering almost his entire chest and etching into his face, covering his right cheek and getting smaller as it crossed his eye and stopped in the middle of his forehead. He had the same fairy-like tattoo that the last man had but on his chest and navy blue in color. His last tattoo blended in with the one that looked like black flames, but was still recognizable. There were two zigzag lines, and oval shape with a dot in the center, and a few more of those flame marks extending from it, all black.

I lay in the seventh bed, while in the eighth bed lay a blonde man who was still sleeping. He looked about a year older than my current age and had a thin scar over his right eyebrow. He had a single earring from his left ear, which had the look of a crystalline. Over a tan top, he wore a light colored jacket lined with grey fur. His arms were covered by dark blue gloves reaching to his mid-bicep with the upper edges lined with grey, where two grey ribbons hung from each arm. On his left shoulder was a white tattoo that looked like the head of a tiger. He had on a striped belt and dark pants, which were tucked into his dark boots.

In the ninth lay a sleeping man who was the same age as the last man, with messy black hair that was tied back into a ponytail, although it still covered the majority of the right side of his face, witch covered a small portion of the scar over the bridge on his nose. He wore a light-colored leopard-patterned kimono that covered the right half of his torso over a dark plate of armor. His left arm lay bare, exposing a black tattoo that looked like a tiger's head on his shoulder. On his waist is a dark sash holding together a white fabric that went over his dark pants, which were tucked into black ankle books. On his left forearm was a black band with a right ring on the wrist.

In the last bed, the tenth one, lay a girl with blue eyes and pink pink hair that was tied into double ponytails by orange ribbons. She was about two or three years older than the blue haired girl. She wore a pale blue mini-skirt, a pink sleeveless top with a dark blue center and folded collar with an orange ribbon tied around it. The the left breast was a pink heat and on the left was a pink "X" mark. She wore short white gloves with orange wristband on them, on top on a longer pink fabric that reached her upper arms and was held by orange armbands that matched the ones on her wrists. She had long black stockings and white leg warmers over her black and pink shoes. Unlike the rest of us, who were either propped up on the bed or sleeping, she was sitting over the edge of the bed and facing us, looking down as she swung her legs.

At the same time, the two boys who were still sleeping stirred. The blonde one opened his eyes first.

"Are you awake, Sting-san?" the blue-haired girl asked.

He groaned for a moment before propping himself up into a sitting position like the rest of us and scanned the room.

"Where am I?" he asked groggily.

"The medical room," she answered. "I'll explain everything one Rogue-san wakes up," she said, gesturing at the dark-haired boy who was already getting up.

"He's awake already, so would you tell us what's going on?" grunted the man occupying the third bed.

"Why don't we introduce ourselves first?" she asked meekly. "I'm Wendy, Wendy Marvel."

Wendy... Where have I heard that name before?

"I'm Chelia Blendy," said the pink-haired girl who occupied the 10th bed, her swinging legs coming to a halt.

Wendy gestured to the man in the 9th bed, who said, "Rogue Cheney."

"Sting Eucliffe," said the one in the 8th bed.

"Natsu Dragneel," I responded.

"Gray Fullbuster."

"Gajeel Redfox."

The one in the fourth bed didn't say anything, so Wendy introduced him for us. "Call him Cobra. He only reveals his real name to those he knows he can put his trust in," she explained. When the one in the 3rd bed didn't say his name either, she told us, "His name is Zancrow. He's a bit slow to trust," earning a 'tch' from that Zancrow dude.

"Orga Nanagear," said the one in the 2nd bed.

"Laxus Dreyar."

So many familiar names, yet none of them I remember.

Wendy nodded. "Do any of you besides Chelia know your magics?" she asked.

My Magic? Well, I was taught dragon magic by Igneel... what did he call that magic again? Dragon Slaying Magic? Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was that.

"I'm a Lightning Dragon Slayer," Laxus said.

My head jerked his direction. So did Gajeel's, Sting's, and Rogue's.

"A dragon slayer?" I breathed.

"Yeah," he responded.

Seeming to be unfazed, Orga said, "I'm a Lightning God Slayer."

"I'm the Iron Dragon Slayer," Gajeel breathed, seeming to be as taken back as I was that there were other dragon slayers.

By their reactions, could Sting and Rogue be dragon slayers too?

"I'm the Fire Dragon Slayer," I whispered, voice hoarse.

"I'm the White Dragon Slayer," Sting said.

"Shadow Dragon Slayer," Rogue replied.

Wendy nodded approvingly, giving Chelia a brief smile, a gesture which she returned. "Do you know your magic, Cobra-san?" she asked.

"Poison Dragon Slayer," he grumbled.

"I use Ice Molding Magic," Gray said, sounding confused that we were all slayers while he wasn't.

Wendy cast Chelia a worried look before continuing, "Do you know your magic, Zancrow-san?"

He smirked. "I'm the Fire God Slayer," he announced proudly.

"What's with all these slayers?" Gray asked, sounding uncomfortable that he was the only one who wasn't one.

Wendy gave a small smile. "I guess it runs in the family."

"The family?" Zancrow asked, raising an eyebrow.

She nodded. "We're all family, but most of us not by blood. Let me start explaining from the beginning. Me, Natsu-san, Gajeel-san, Sting-san, and Rogue-san were all adopted and raised by dragons. My dragon, or should I say, mother, Grandine, told me that dragons were all related, all had the same blood, so that would make the five of us cousins. As I previously said, dragons were able to adopt humans into their families. Well, two of the humans our dragons adopted as siblings were Laxus-san's now-mother and Cobra-san's father, making those two also our cousins. Laxus-san's mother was cousins with Orga-san's father, and my real mother was cousins with Chelia's mother. Cobra-san's mother was cousins with Zancrow-san's father, while his father was cousins with Gray-san's father."

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, WHAT?!?!?! Too much information for me to process! My head is going to explode! Okay, so me, Gajeel, Wendy, Sting, and Rogue are cousins, and the rest are our parent's cousins's kids. *internally takes a deep breath* Okay... *internal panting*

"Wait, but I'm not a slayer," Gray pointed out.

Chelia gave him a wry smile. "But you are," she said, taking Gray by surprise. "You just weren't one before X777. In fact, you only became a slayer recently."

"What? Why? When? How? What type of slayer?" he sputtered.

"You only got it a few days ago! Calm down," Chelia sighed. "You inherited it from your father."

At the sound of it, Gray froze. "My dad... is dead. I saw it with my own eyes. He was killed by Deliora."

Who's Deliora?

Wendy smiled warily. "Although it might not be ideal, we don't have much time to discuss your memory loss, so I'll have to summarize what happened. Basically, a demonic necromancer brought your father's corpse back into motion, and had him join his guild full of demons, Tartaros. Your father, Silver-san, still had his own mind, so he became the ice devil slayer and secretly used what information he acquired in Tartaros to take down demons to avenge his family, who were killed by Deliora, a demon. Fairy Tail, the guild you were in, went to war with Tartaros. Silver-san knew you were taking part in the battle, and deliberately fought you. He claimed to be Deliora in your father's body. just to get you to kill him. In the end, you realized that it was really your father, and refused to hurt him, but he died anyways, for the necromancer controlling him was killed. Overall, his reason for wanting you to kill him, was so that he could pass the devil slaying magic he acquired onto you."

As she told her story, Gray's eyes widened, tears welling up in them every second she told it, to the point where tears were streaming down his eyes without end.

"That," Wendy said soberly, indicating to the tattoo on his wrist, which I then presumed wasn't actually a tattoo, "is proof that you are a devil slayer. The Ice Devil Slayer."

"Last you remember, what year was it?" Chelia asked, once Gray's tears had stopped.

I thought back. What was the last year I remember? I know Igneel told me this before, I just can't put my finger on it... Hmmm...That's right! X777!

"X777," I replied.

"Yeah, that's right. X777, July 6th," Laxus continued.

"That's the last date I remember, too," Gray said, some of the others nodding their heads in agreement.

Wendy and Chelia hastily sent each other a horrified look. "It's currently X791."

"How is that possible?" I whispered. "You said I was 18. Last I remember, I was 11. 7 years have past, not 14. You're lying."

As Gray, Gajeel, and Laxus nodded, the others, besides Wendy and Chelia, looked at us in shock.

"But she was telling me the truth," Sting breathed. "I was five before, but she told me I was 19."

"Me too," Rogue said.

Wendy took a deep breath and said, "I can explain that, but first I want you to answer me this: have any of you ever heard of these names: Fairy Tail, Pahntom Lord, Sabertooth, Oracion Seis, Grimore Heart, or Crime Sorciare."

"My granddad was Fairy Tail's Master," Laxus offered.

"I joined Fairy Tail in X774, when I was 8 years old," Gray replied.

"Last I remember, I joined Oracion Seis two years ago, X776," Cobra said.

"Tch. I joined Grimore Heart in X774," Zancrow responded.

The rest of us, including me, shook our heads.

By now, Wendy and Chelia's faces reflected pure sorrow, enough to break my heart into a million pieces.

"Chelia, can you bring them in?" Wendy asked quietly.

Chelia nodded quietly and got up, opening the door and whispering something to the people on the other side. Even with the enhanced hearing I got from the dragon slayer magic, I couldn't hear what they were saying. She soon came back in with a group of people behind her.

"Can you introduce yourselves?" Wendy asked them.

A man with long green hair nodded grimly. "My name is Freed Justine," he said.

"Bickslow," said a man in padded armor and a helmet, sticking out his tongue to reveal the same black fairy tattoo that was identical to the ones Gray and Gajeel had. I also noticed that Freed had a green one on the back of his left hand.

"I am the fairy!" exclaimed a woman with long, wavy brown hair who had the green fairy tattoo above her right breast.

"What she means to say is that her name is Evergreen," Freed clarified.

"Freed, Bickslow, Ever? Is that you?" Laxus asked, although I had no idea who any of these people were.

"He remembers us?" Freed asked Wendy, seeming to be taken aback.

Chelia nodded. "He remembers everything from before X777, July 6th. By then, you three had already joined the guild."

The three nodded in usion. "Does Gray remember then?" Bickslow asked, turning to face him.

He furrowed his brow. "You three seem very familiar, but I can't seem to remember much. Did I ever hang out with you guys?"

"No, that probably explains why," Freed said.

"Getting to the point, why are they here?" Zancrow snapped.

"Because we were hoping they might trigger some memories," Chelia replied.

"But how are they going to trigger our memories if only two of us knew them back then?" I asked.

Evergreen rolled her eyes. "How rude. We're not the only ones, you know."

In came a 26 year old man with whitish-silver hair and mocking black eyes, mostly directed at a certain Ice Devil Slayer. "Yo, Gray," he said, waving a hand. "Nice to see you too, Chelia," he said, turning to face her, before focusing his attention back on Gray. He frowned. "So I see you've lost your memories."

"Lyon!" he exclaimed, surprised, yet terrified at the same time.

Lyon's eyes softened, as if realizing why Gray was so afraid. "I know it wasn't you," he said softly. "I know it wasn't your fault. She used Iced Shell on her own accord. There's nothing you could have done about it."

After that, Gray started crying again. Usually I would have thought him as a crybaby, but given the circumstances, I would have cried in his position too. After all, last he remembered, he was 11, so he probably still had that mindset. Also, I bet that he would have cried even if he remembered. After all, he just found out that his father revived just to die again, and his friend came back and forgave him for something that was probably torturing him, or at least tortured him last he remembered.

"God, Lyon. You shouldn't go making people cry like that," scolded a girl with long, pink hair that was held back by black mufflers as he lifted the hood from her blue cloak, coming in with another woman with long, wavy, hot pink hair, who went directly to Chelia and sat on the bed beside her. After looking at Gray pitifully for a moment, her eyes widened as they settled on Zancrow. "Zancrow..." she whispered after a moment, one hand over her mouth while her other hand trembled as it reached out for him.

"What the hell are you doing, bitch?" he snapped, scowling as he frightened her into recoiling her arm. Wendy and Chelia also flinched, taken aback by his the harshness in his tone.

"Now, now, Zancrow. You shouldn't scare Meredy like that. She's a lady after all," said an old man with silver-grey hair that swept upwards near the front of his head, the right glass of his glasses cracked, and handcuffs binding his wrists in front of him.

Zancrow's eyes narrowed in recognition, his mouth forming a smirk. "Rustyrose. Seems you got captured too, eh?" he lifted his hands from beneath the sheets, revealing his handcuff-bound wrists.

My eyes widened. True, he seemed a bit temperamental, but handcuffs? Did he do something wrong to deserve them?

"Why does he have handcuffs?" Orga huffed.

Wendy looked down and said, "Because he did terrible things in the past. Even if he lost his memories, I couldn't risk it."

"Risk what?" I asked, before I knew what I was doing.

Wendy winced, so Chelia answered for her. "He, along with Rustyrose, were part of a dark guild called Grimore Heart. They destroyed towns and killed people. We didn't want to risk them killing us, so he handcuffed them with magic-sealing stone."

"Was she," Orga said, indicating to the girl called Meredy, who had her head down shamefully, "a member of this dark guild as well?"

"No!" Wendy cried desperately, her head jerking up. "Well, she was, but she's a good person! She was only a member because her savior was a member, and that savior was also being controlled. So please... please don't hate her. She's a good person, I promise..."

There was a moment of silence before Orga sighed. "I'm not going to blame her for anything," he said. "You don't have to make such a big deal out of it."

"Mmm," she replied, nodding her head meekly.

"Tch, emotional much," Zancrow muttered.

"Zancrow, she's just a child," Rustyrose scolded.

"Is anyone else coming or is this it?" Gajeel asked.

"More are coming," Freed assured. "Once we're all here, we'll tell you everything that's happened."

"Well they're sure taking their sweet time," Sting huffed, and I couldn't help but agree. They were taking forever.

"Well good for you, more are here," Cobra said, opening his left eye, while his scarred right eye remained shut.

A moment later, six figures wearing the same cloaks as Meredy did came in, taking off their hoods as they entered. Among them, I spotted a familiar blood-red tattoo, but couldn't remember where I've seen it before.

"Heh, so these are the people who are supposed to 'jog my memories?' Very unlikely. And also, you know that I can just listen to people's thoughts, right? This whole time, just by listening to your memories, I was able to fill in a lot of empty holes in mine. Even if I don't regain my memories myself, I can just listen to other people's memories of me. You know of this, don't you?" Cobra told Wendy.

"Wait, you can read people's minds?" I asked.

He huffed. "Not read, hear. I can hear people's thoughts," he clarified.

"Well someone's grouchy," commented a woman with long white hair who was wearing all white with hints of dark blue, and a lot of white feathers, making her look somewhat angelic.

"Well, if you haven't already heard, I've lost my memories Angel," Cobra replied, voice dripping with annoyance.

"Yep, I was right. Definitely grouchy."

"Cut him some slack, Angel. He's going through hard times," said a man with long, wild hair that was black at the top, white at the bottom, although I'm pretty sure he didn't mean what he said about going through hard times. Quite the diverse person, eh? (talking about the hair)

I saw Cobra's mouth twitch upwards, probably from my thought, before he huffed, "Thank you, Midnight."

"That's love, yes?" exclaimed a burly man whose face wasn't quite smooth and had long orange hair and an orange mustache.

"Again with the love, Hot Eye? I think Nirvana had a little too much influence on you." replied a man whose black hair was styled into a buzz-cut while the yellow portion was pulled into a pointed mohawk. Matching his hair, his jumpsuit was mainly black with yellow lines running through it.

At the mention of Nirvana, Wendy, Lyon, and the girl who came in with Meredy earlier who was currently sitting net to Chelia all visibly winced. Even myself, who I'm sure has never heard that name before, felt a sense of forbidding to it.

"Racer, you know as well as we all do that the effects of Nirvana can't be reversed, nor erased," sighed the man with the red tattoo over his right eye that I noticed earlier, smoothing back his azure hair that was noticeably ruffled by the cloak's hood.

"Yes, I know Jellal," he seethed, sounding just as pissed as Cobra was.

"Racer, calm down," Midnight scolded.

"And that too, is lo-"

"Shut up, Hot Eye!" Cobra and Racer yelled in usion.

"How dare you try to silence the power of love?!?" Chelia and the girl sitting next to her exclaimed, voices mingling as the pounced from their seats to argue with Cobra and Racer.

"Um, I have a question," I interrupted, silencing the argument. "Who are you?" I asked, indicating to the girl with long, wavy hot pink hair.

"How rude!" she shouted, fuming.

"Patience, Sherry. Remember, he lost his memories."

The girl named Sherry took a deep breath as Chelia talked, seeming to calm down. "I am Sherry Blendy, Chelia's cousin."

"Oh."

"What's going on here, Miss Too Much Make-Up?" asked the white cat from earlier, who was carried in with four other cats by a slim man with long, blonde hair who was clad in red and gold. Although it was quite strange, no one questioned the cat speaking, not even myself. Despite the weirdness, it wasn't alarming and felt somewhat natural, like I've seen it happen before.

The blonde man handed the white cat back to Wendy, then placed a green cat wearing a pink frog costume on Rogue's bed, and a reddish-brown cat with pinks paws, stomach and face wearing a dark blue vest on Sting's. He then approached me and set a blue cat with a white belly and a green pouch on my bed, then proceeded to hand Gajeel a black cat who had a scar over his left eye, a red sword attached to his back, and was wearing green pants.

"Who're you?" I asked the blue cat on my bed.

"I'm Happy," he responded, his adorable high pitched voice exceedingly familiar.

"Really? That's your name? Happy?" I asked, thinking that it was a somewhat odd name for a cat.

"Aye!" he responded, holding up his right hand enthusiastically, although I noticed tears brimming his eyes. I felt a pang of sadness in my chest at the sight of it. "How cruel. You're the one who named me, Natsu. You're a terrible partner, forgetting about me," he said, meaning it as a joke, but I heard sadness behind his words, making me feel. all the more guilty.

"I named you? I'm your partner?" I asked.

"Aye!" he said again, lowering his hand. "You found me when I was still an egg and cared for me until I hatched. You said it yourself. That I made everyone around me smile. That I made them Happy. That's why you named me Happy. You said that I was like a bluebird of happiness." By now, tears were flowing freely out of both his eyes and my own.

How could I forget my own partner? Why did the world have to make me forget the people most important to me? Why me? What did I do to deserve this? Oh, that's right. I don't remember.

"I'm sorry, Happy," I whispered into his ear as I hugged him, stroking his warm fur.

Nobody's P.O.V

(Gajeel & Pantherlily)

"Who're you?" Gajeel asked the black cat with orange eyes who was standing in front of him, paws on his hips.

"I'm Pantherlily, or Lily, as you used to call me. I'm your partner," he said, raising his right paw into the air.

"What's with the sword?" Gajeel asked, gawking at how such a small creature of his caliber would attempt to wield a weapon.

"Oh, that? Let me show you."

Pantherlily jumped off the bed and grabbed a hold of the hilt of his sword. He was suddenly engulfed in a bight yellow light, expanding as it dimmed. He came out having similar features to what he had before, but much more bulk, his black and white face also becoming somewhat more squared. Aside from gaining meta cuffs around his forearms, his attire remained the same.

"Whoa! That's awesome. Can any of the other cats do that?" Gajeel asked.

"No, I'm the only one," Pantherlily responded. "This is my Battle Mode. I'm quite useful in a fight like this."

Gajeel smirked. "That's my cat."

(Sting & Lector)

"My name is Lector, yes!" the cat exclaimed, bumping his chest with his right paw.

"Lec...tor?" Sting asked.

"Yes! I'm Lector, your partner!"

"My... partner?"

"Get it together, Sting-kun. Losing your memories doesn't give you an excuse for being slow," Lector scolded, waving a finger in the air. "I'm your partner! You can yell me anything. Any concerns, worries, fears, questions... I'll always be there to listen!" He grinned, closing his eyes, although the tears brimming them were obvious to Sting.

The blonde pulled his new found partner into a hug, smiling softly as the cat started to cry freely in his embrace. "Thank you, Lector."

(Rogue & Frosch)

"Rogue!"cried the frog-like cat as it rushed into the arms of a confused Shadow Dragon Slayer. "Fro missed you!"

"F-fro?" Rogue asked.

"Yeah! Fro's name is Frosch!"

"Frosch? Your name is Frosch?"

"Yeah!"

"What gender are you?" Rogue asked.

"I dunno!" Frosch replied, waving a paw in the air.

"Is... that so," Rogue said, blinking a few times in surprise.

"Fro thinks so too!"

Rogue smiled softly at Frosch's antics as he pat the cat's head. "Thank's, Frosch."

"Hmm? For what?"

"Ever since I found out I lost my memories, I've been feeling lost and confused. Something about you.. I don't know, it makes me feel calm, at peace. Thank you."

"Fro thinks so too!"

(Orga & Rufus)

"Who're you?" Orga asked gruffly as the blonde man clad in red approached him after finishing passing out the cats.

"Hello, Orga. You may not remember me, but my name if Rufus," he said, bringing his hat to his chest with one arm and placing the other behind his back as he bowed.

"Seven years ago, a time that you probably don't remember, we joined Sabertooth around the same time as Sting and Rogue. We were part of the Sabertooth's top five."

Orga smirked. "Top five? I like the sound of that, but together with those ruffians?" He asked, indicating to Sting and Rogue. "I can't imagine it."

Rufus chuckled. "I'm sure it seems odd to you now, but they're currently extremely confused. You see, on July 6th, X777, those two were only five years old. Since they've lost their memories, they probably feel like they were five years old yesterday, so they most likely still have the mindset of being five."

"That so?" Orga mumbled, resting his head on his palm. "Last I remember, I was nine, so that's probably why I can take this more calmly then they can."

"I assume that's so. Back in the day, those two," Rufus said, one again indicating at Sting and Rogue, "Were called the Twin Dragons of Sabertooth. They complemented each other well, being the Light and Shadow Dragons Slayers. Light and dark, two opposites that crossed paths. But you know what they say, opposites attract, and they did. They were even able to preform usion raids together."

"Usion raids! Damn, they must have been strong," Orga remarked, smirking.

"yes, they were quite strong, although their strength was greatly multiplied when they worked together. If they were separated, you could take them on individually and win."

"Really?" he asked, lifting his head in surprise.

"Yes. You were known as Orga of the Black Lightning."

Orga smirked. "I like the sound of that. Incidentally, what were you called?"

"I was called 'The Minstrel Who Sings to the Red Moon.' Quite the long name, don't you think?"

"I have no idea what that means. What magic do you use?"

"Memory Make Magic. It's a lost magic that enables me to memorize the magic of others and use it as my own. I am also able to recreate other lost magics using this skill and can combine magics to make whole new magics."

"That's quite the useful technique."

"I remember... you said the same thing when we first met."

(After Everyone is Acquainted)

"When are you going to tell us what happened?" Zancrow complained.

"Don't be impatient, Zancrow," Rustyrose scolded. "Anger is bad for beauty."

"Oh, shut up," Zancrow snapped. "So are you gonna tell us or not? The sooner you get these handcuffs off me, the better."

"Um, I think Rufus-san remembers what happened best," Wendy said.

Rufus smirked. "It's true I have a better memory than most. Very well then."

"Finally," Gajeel grumbled.

"This may take a while, so I suggest that you all have a seat," Rufus told the people who were still standing. They complied without a word. Rufus cleared his throat. "After the dragons who were the parents of Natsu, Gajeel, Wendy, Sting, and Rogue disappeared on July 7th, X777, Natsu joined Fairy Tail, Gajeel joined Phantom Lord, Wendy joined Cait Shelter, and Sting and Rogue traveled aimlessly. At the time, Laxus and Gray were also in Fairy Tail, Zancrow was in Grimore Heart, Cobra was in Oracion Seis, Chelia was in Lamia Scale, and Orga was like Sting and Rogue, traveling..."

For about 7 years, not much changed. After a series of events, Phantom Lord disbanded and Gajeel joined Fairy Tail. Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale, Blue Pegasus, and Cait Shelter each sent representatives to go on a mission top defeat Oracion Seis, one of the 3 dark guilds in the Balam Alliance. In the process, Cobra was defeated by Natsu and Cait Shelter disbanded, leaving Wendy to join Fairy Tail. Fairy Tail went to Tenroujima, their holy island, to take the S-class exam, which all the slayer participated in, when Grimore Heart, another dark guild from the Balam Alliance, attacked. Natsu beat Zancrow, but the king of dragons, Acnologia, arrived and almost destroyed the island with its roar, if not for the ultimate shielding spell: Fairy Sphere, but there was a catch. The members of Fairy Tail who were on the island were trapped in a frozen space that stopped their growth for 7 years.

At the start of the 7 years they were trapped on Tenroujima, Sting, Rogue, Orga, and Rufus joined Sabertooth, quickly becoming part of the top 5 members. At the end of the 7 years, the members of Fairy Tail who were trapped on the island came back, their looks and age the same as when they were first imprisoned.

Soon after their return, the members of Fairy Tail faced the last dark guild of the Balam Alliance, Tartaros. While the two guilds were fighting, the continent of Alakitsia figured that Tartaros would destroy Fiore and decided to take the chance to declare war and attack all the other countries in Ishgar, leaving Fiore to fall into the hands of Tartaros. They destroyed the countries in Ishgar, but miraculously, Fairy Tail defeated Tartaros and Fiore was left unharmed. There was only one threat left: Acnologia. Even with the king of dragons imposing upon Fiore, Alakitsia was still worried that Fiore would once again prevail, so they sent one of Alvarez Empire's Spriggan 12, and also former #1 Wizard Saint of Ishgar, God Serena, to make sure that Fiore was completely obliterated.

To defend Fiore from destruction, the dragon slayers faced off against Acnologia, and the god slayers battled God Serena, but even with the help of Gray, a devil slayer, it wasn't enough. To face this threat, all of the slayers, with the help of Romeo Conbolt, Eve Term, Freed Justine, Evergreen, Bickslow, Meredy, Rustyrose, Rufus Lore, Jellal Fernandez, Racer, Angel, Midnight, Hot Eye, Lyon Vastia, Happy, Carla, Pantherlily, Lector, Frosch, Minerva Orland, Erza Scarlet, Mirajane Strauss, Kinana, Levy McGarden, Juvia Lockser, Lucy Heartfillia, Kagura Mikazuchi, and Yukino Aguria. (Long list, I know. Basically everyone in the room + Minerva, Erza, Mirajane, Kinana, Levy, Juvia, Lucy, Kagura, and Yukino.) Evryone lent the dragon slayers their power while the rest of Fiore defended the ones who were preparing to launch a spell that would hopefully defend Fiore.

It worked for the most part and forced Acnologia and Alakitsia to retreat, except there was something wrong with the spell. For some reason, when the spell was cast, it affected the minds of everyone in Fiore. The memories of the slayers were deducted by the last 7-14 years (depending on who was on Tenroujima or not), or from July 6th, X777, save for Wendy and Chelia who were spared because of their healing magic. There was also another catch: the slayers and all the people who were giving them power were also erased from the memories of everyone else. Minerva saw the energy blast coming a second before it happened, and had just enough time to use her Territory magic to get Erza and herself out of there, but no one else. Strangely, unlike the slayers and the other people who gave the slayers power, Lucy, Levy, Juvia, Mirajane, Kinana, Yukino, and Kagura fainted and lay unconscious at the scene instead of being knocked unconscious and sent to the random places across Fiore like the others. They were also the only ones out of the bunch, besides Minerva and Erza who escaped, who were like the rest of Fiore, having kept all memories other than those containing the slayers and the others who gave them power.

Wendy was found in the gardens of Light palace Mercurius and brought to the palace, although she wasn't remembered by anyone. Immediately after waking up, she requested a search for everyone else who got swept across Fiore and gathered them in the palace, then finding out about the slayer's memory losses, save for her's and Chelia's.

"...and that's what happened," Rufus concluded after about half an hour of storytelling.

The slayers, besides Wendy and Chelia, were shocked speechless.

"What about my granddad?" Laxus asked, being the first to regain his voice. "What about him? Earlier you said he disappeared," he said to Wendy, referring to before they had all gathered in the medical room, when he talked to Wendy privately.

Wendy winced. "It's exactly as I said. After Alakitsia retreated, Master Makarov declared the disbandment of Fairy Tail and disappeared from Fiore, and ever since, no one has heard from him."

"Wait, how long ago was this?" Rogue asked.

"7 days ago," Chelia answered.
