Venus ~ you

It was only yesterday when I was in the car, driving back to my apartment and jamming to "Happiness" by Red Velvet out loud when I realized that today is my birthday.

I'm turning 22 now.... I feel so old... I thought and sighed. College wasn't a breeze, and the month of January wasn't helping with my exams and papers.

My cell phone suddenly rings, and I glance at the ID. I smiled. Yeollie's calling.

I picked up and put it on speaker. "Annyeonghaseyo?" I asked as he laughed.

"Ya Venus, I think you'd know when your boyfriend is calling you!" He says as I give him a small laugh.

"Haha I know oppa. What is it?" I asked.

"Well.... since I know it's your birthday today, let's get some dinner at your favorite cafe. Make sure you wear something you like, and meet me there at 8:00 ok jagiya?" Chanyeol says as I hear rustling in the background.

"Mmm. Arraso. Kunde oppa, what's that noise?" I asked as he trails.

"Uhhh..... umm..... nothing." He says ands I smiled.

"I know you're hiding something, but I won't ask. See you later jagi!" I say.

"Annyeong!" Chanyeol says happily as I end the call.

He must be with them. I thought, smiling. What kind of surprise will they give me this year?

Chanyeol ~

"Annyeong!" The phone call ended. "Yah! Sehun, what's with the noise? Venus is suspicious now!"

"Hyung. It's not my fault. Baekhyun hyung was pushing me around!" Sehun said, feining innocence.

"Yah! Who said I did?! I'm all the way here across from you!" Baekhyun hyung says angrily across the cafe.

"Ok whatever. Just hurry. We won't get much time now that Venus knows." I say as my friends nod.

"Oh Chan. So you want us to make the candle trail for Venus to walk, right?" Suho hyung asks as I nod.

"Yeah. She loves romantic things. Just make sure that nothing is near it or we'll burn this place down hyung." I joke.

"Hyung! Was it violets and roses or violets and gladioluses?" Sehun asks as I say, "Vios. And glads." "Got it!" Sehun replies, calling the florist.

"Hey Kai, how's it with D.O?" I ask as his voice rings, "We're doing good! Almost done!"

"Ok, so decorations... almost done. Food almost done, invitation done. Flowers, candles, entertainment... almost?" I muttered to myself, looking at the clipboard. "And it's a good thing that the cafe has a private room..."

"The flower orders will need to be picked up hyung!" Sehun says, running over.

"Ok. Have.... Suho hyung drive you there. Suho hyung! I'll take it from there. Can you take Sehun to the florist?" I asked.

"But hyung! I can drive by myself!" Sehun whined.

"No, you can only drive properly if you have bubble tea with you! I'll take you Hun-ah." Suho hyung says as they both leave the cafe.

"Baek hyung, how are the decorations- wow." I say, turning around to see elegant decorations strewn delicately all over the small private room that we rented, plus the cafe itself. I was using my parent's cafe, and that's how my Aphrodite and I met in the first place. We both met through a coffee accident, and our friendship bloomed, and here we are now.

"Thanks hyung. Venus will love this." I smile and look at the chandelier and the table that was adorned with a white cloth. A blue candleholder stood in the center of the table, and an empty vase was waiting to be filled with Venus' favorite flowers.

Everything is going to be perfect, I just know it.

I got ready in the nick of time since I was excited, and I wore what I wanted to wear on my birthday.

I was out of my apartment by 7:30 p.m since it takes a while to get to Chanyeol's parent's cafe. I was wearing a dark blue flowery lace dress with mid sleeves and the dress itself fell around my knees. I accopanied my favorite blue dress with white pumps, curly hair, a dark blue clutch, a pretty white cardigan, some makeup, and excitement.

I arrived and saw a pitch black cafe, and I wondered why it wasn't open. Did omonim and apponim take a break? The cafe's usually really busy with dinner rush right now....

I walked closer to the cafe and saw a sign posted on the door.

After reading the news, I felt a bit devastated. Did Chanyeol set me up? He wouldn't do that, right?

I suddenly see the door in front of me open, revealing a very polished up Sehun.

"Hello m'lady. I shall accompany you to your partner, who is already waiting for you inside. Please follow me m'lady." Sehun says as I stifle a laugh. Sehun must really love Chanyeol to do this. Maybe Chanyeol bribed the maknae.....

Sehun opens the door wider for me to enter, and I say a thank you as I pass him. I heard

movement behind me as I stepped into the dark cafe, and I realized that Sehun was gone.

A light and a striking sound fills the room, and Kai, wearing a tux, greets me with a pretty smile. "Please follow me, m'lady. Mr. Oh had to leave for a preparation. I will take your coat and bag for you, please approach the table in front of you-" soft lights shone on a table full of petals, balloons, pretty cards with loving phrases wriiten on them, and a vase of violets. "And Baekhyun hyung will take it from here." I give Kai my cardigan and clutch and another light shines on Baekhyun, who was standing nearby.

I walk towards him, and he bows with his right hand across his stomach, like a butler. "M'lady, Sir Chanyeol has prepared a surprise for you, one that you'll certainly love as he quoted. Please sit down and watch the film that Mr. Chanyeol has made himself. Thank you." Baekhyun says, gesturing to the clothed chair in front of him.

I sat down and looked at the tv, and then the screen brightened.

The screen fills with our cheerful memories from years ago, from everywhere we went to everything we did.

Our trip to Japan and Jeju was there, accompanied by cafe dates, park dates, dinner dates, us ice skating, at Namsan tower, at the Han River, Lotte World, at our houses with our families, and so much more.

The screen flashes the words "Happy Birthday My Venus ♡"

Feeling emotional, I couldn't help but have fresh tears almost spill over my eyes from his heartfelt efforts. Chanyeol, you're such a romantic.

"M'lady, now it is time to go to the dinner table, please follow me." Baekhyun says, smiling.

I follow Baekhyun towards a door, and as we step into the black room, a light shines on three unmoving figures on a stage. I gasp a bit, and music starts playing.

The three figures turn around and I see Sehun, Kai, and Kyungsoo, who all, began to dance. I realized that it was one of my favorite songs, "She" by Jonghyun.

I couldn't belive the sight right in front of me as Baekhyun tries to lead me to the table.

Chanyeol comes out from nowhere, holding a rose and a microphone in another hand. The three guys begin to dance around me, and Chanyeol makes his way towards the table as he sings.

The room is lit with a pretty glow, and our thousands of pictures were hanging on the wall, smiling at me.

Chanyeol finishes the song, and gives me a dazzling smile.

"Happy birthday jagi." He winks as the three members smiled.

I burst into tears right after.

"W-What's wrong?!" Chanyeol asked frantically.

"You did all this for me?" I stood up, feeling grateful for Chanyeol and my waterproof makeup.

Chanyeol walks closer to me and takes me in his arms, and smiles. "Yeah I did. Today's the day, you were born, so how can I not celebrate it perfectly?" He asks as he tries to comfort me.

"Don't cry jagi. Did... you like it?" He questions as I sob even louder and run into his arms.

He smiles, and kisses my forehead. Three minutes later, I stop crying, and Chanyeol shows me how wonderful a birthday really is.

"Happy birthday Honey." Chanyeol says as we finished our dessert. He quickly leans foward and attaches his lips with mine.
