So here we are at the end of the Fallen Warriors series. This series has meant so much to me and having it come to a conclusion is very bittersweet.

I remember how this journey started. I had just watched Infinity War and I started thinking about Bucky and how so much of his life happens between the movies, including his time in Wakanda and his time between Captain America: the Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. I then got the idea for Brainwashed, a story about Bucky trying to heal from his past and regain his memories alongside a shapeshifter who wants to find her family. Originally it was just going to be one book, but then I fell in love with Bucky, Soroya, and Alex and couldn't bring myself to say goodbye. And now I've just finished writing the 7th installment in the series and I'm still writing stories with these characters in 'Heroes' and 'Tales From Fallen Warriors'. It's surreal.

This series has always been about hope and healing. All the characters throughout the series battle inner demons, conquer their fears, learn and grow from their experiences, and try their best to better themselves and the world around them. So many of the character's struggles were struggles I was going through in real life. Writing these books became part of my own healing process and gave me hope in some of the darkest times in my life. I hope that these characters and books provided hope or comfort during any struggles in your lives. I hope they will continue to do so.
