"Aaaaand, it's done~"

Doyoung cheered from his bed.

The two of us were making watercolor paintings together, while talking about what we've been doing as of recently.

He was seated on his bed, while I was seated at a desk he has in his room.

He carefully, but eagerly, showed me his finished painting of the Koi fish he painted.

"It turned out so well hyung~. Why'd you decide to paint Koi fish though?"

"No particular reason. Since they represent perseverance, I feel like just looking at a painting of one will help me somewhere in the future~"

He smiled as he set it down to dry.

"That's a good way to put it~. I feel like if Hendery-hyung and I hadn't seen those Koi fish a while back, we probably would've had a much harder time defeating my uncle. They gave us the perseverance to keep on pushing until we won"

"In my opinion, I think the fish helped you the most Renjunie"

"Oh?"

He nodded and proceeded to explain.

"You had the most perseverance out of all of us that day. You were so determined to save not only us, but Xinyi too. You made a way for yourself, to successfully save everyone, and you wouldn't stop until you did. Even though it cost you your life, you persevered through it all"

"I see... I haven't thought about it that way before"

"But aside from that, I'm really surprised that you knew about the Golden Fleece that Hoseok-hyung had"

He sat back down on the bed, getting himself comfortable again.

"I actually noticed it before we split up that day. The fabric inside of his cape looked different from the outside. And oddly enough, I felt a pure, but strong, power coming from it. Adding the fact that he's a satyr, I concluded that his cape was indeed the Golden Fleece. I knew that if I ended up losing my own life, that Hoseok-hyung would be able to save me and bring me back"

"...You really are something special Renjun. I'm so glad I was able to meet you and get to know you"

He smiled petting my head.

"I really appreciate that hyung. I'm so glad that I was able to get to know you and everyone else, on such a deep and meaningful level~"

I put the finishing touches on my painting, and contently set it to the side to dry.

"That's so pretty Renjun~. But why chose to paint a fox?"

"No reason in particular. The fox symbolizes many things, but for this painting, there's only one meaning behind it"

He waited in anticipation, while also trying to figure out himself which symbolism I had in mind.

"For me, its representation is opportunity~"
