When Xander snapped his fingers, Jaehyun, Zuho, and I were teleported to another room.

Despite our current situation, the room is rather pretty in my opinion.

"You guys alright?"

Jaehyun inquired, and we nodded.

We suddenly heard the sound of someone repeating the word "Food" in the room. A hybrid of some sort soon revealed himself from behind the tree in front of us.

He looked as if he had been starved this whole time. The moment he laid eyes on us, his mouth started watering.

"Not this guy again..."

Jaehyun sighed.

"You know this guy hyung?"

Zuho questioned.

"Yeah. A few of us dealt with him a while back. He goes by the name Vail, and he was supposedly turned into this beast after an experiment gone wrong. He's incapable of speech, but the only word he seems to know how to say is "Food". His powers are known as Food and Chimera. Food allows him to bite, chew, and digest anything that he is able to come into direct contact with. And Chimera grants him the characteristics of various animals. He is able to enlarge his animal traits to monstrous proportions, granting him a tremendous boost in strength and durability"

Jaehyun explained.

"Food~!!"

Vail happily started clapping after his explanation.

"I think he's happy that you remember him hyung"

"Not that I wanted to"

Upon hearing that, Vail seemed to get upset.

He attacked Jaehyun first and tried to bite him, but he dodged and immediately changed into his god form. He was successful able to bind him soon after.

"End it Hendery"

He ordered me as Vail struggled to escape his bind.

"Right"

I unsheathed one of my swords that I had with me.

I quickly made my way over to them, and swung my sword back to cut his head off, but my attempt failed. 

Vail managed to break his head and neck free in time and bit my sword. This in turn shattered the majority of it, and he proceeded to eat the rest of it.

He really can eat anything!

"Damn it. I forgot how strong you can get"

Jaehyun frowned, strengthening his bind on him.

But unfortunately, Vail was prepared.

He must've increased his overall strength using his Chimera ability, because he was soon able to break free of Jaehyun's bind completely.

"Fuck!"

Jaehyun yelled with frustration.

Zuho tried to blast him with his demonic energy, but Vail was able to eat that too. However, he was luckily able to dodge Vail's next attacks and successfully landed a blow on him.

Vail goes in to bite him, but he suddenly stops in his tracks. Zuho smiled, while the rest of us were confused.

"By ingesting my power, I'm now able to kill you from the inside. Maybe next time you should watch what you eat"

Zuho mocked him, giving me an idea.

"Hyung, bind his body again, but keep his head and neck free. I've got an idea"

I whispered to Jaehyun, and he nodded.

While Vail was unsuccessfully trying to attack Zuho, Jaehyun was able to bind him again, to ensure that he couldn't attack him.

I unsheathed my second sword and swung it at his head.

Vail bit it and began eating it like the last one, but he soon realized his mistake.

The sword had a decomposing spell that Donghyuck had put on it for me earlier. With that spell, whoever was cut by it, or ingested it, would deteriorate from the inside out.

After a few agonizing seconds, Vail had completely decomposed. Not even his bones were left behind.

"Well this battle ended quickly"

Zuho bluntly stated.

While we were satisfied, Jaehyun looked a bit upset.

"Hyung? What's wrong?"

"I couldn't keep him bound for even a few seconds... I can understand how Jeno broke free, but his power was way more intense than Vail's... Am I not worthy enough or strong enough to have this power...?"

He sighed, sitting on one of the steps.

"Listen hyung. No one can truly know if we're worthy enough to possess the powers that we were given. We can't even say if we're worthy enough to live the lives we were given. But, being strong isn't always the answer to winning a fight. Sometimes, you have to use your wits, as well as count on the people around you to help you. And besides, you just got this power. It's going to take time for you to have complete control over it and make it your own. But if you want my opinion, I think you're worthy  and strong enough to have it"

"You really think so...?"

I nodded.

"I never thought I would be worthy enough to be in Yoonho's presence again, let alone have both him and Renjun call me their brother. But, I was holding my own self back from what I truly wanted. If you really want something, whether it's wanting to call your power your own, or wanting a family or a place to call home, then you have to work for. But, I do think you're worthy and strong enough to have that power too hyung"

Zuho was dead serious with his reassurance.

Jaehyun sat there for a few seconds, but then he smiled.

"In that case, I'll work hard to make this power my own, so I can protect Taeyong-hyung and the rest of you. I may have saved him already, but I want to get stronger, so I can continue to save him. That's how I want to pay him back for saving me that day"

We smiled at his decision.

"Now then, you two head back to the ship. I'm gonna find Renjun and give him a hand"

He stated, getting up from where he was seated.

"But hyung, we wanna help too"

I frowned, but he just gently pet my head.

"Don't worry about me. I'm sure I'll meet up with some of the others on the way. And besides I know Zuho wants to see Yoonho, and I have a feeling that someone might need your help Hendery"

"...I do wanna make sure he's doing alright. He looked really beaten up and scared when we found him"

Zuho confessed.

Regardless of how much I wanted to go with Jaehyun, I complied and went back to the ship with Zuho.

I hope he and the others make it back safely...
