These were actually good season finals and they don't get enough hype

"You're not taking her from me!"

- Rose Tyler

The Game Station
100 years since 'Satellite Five'

WHEN THE DOCTOR FOUND HIMSELF TUMBLING OUT OF A SPINNING CUPBOARD, it happened so fast he couldn't stop himself from hitting the floor, groaning at the pain. "Oh my god!" He heard a woman screech through the throbbing in his head. Forcing himself to lift his head he spotted the owner of the voice running towards him- she was a young woman in a white jacket and her blonde hair up in buns. "I don't believe it! Why'd they put you in there?" She kneeled and tried to help him up. "They never said you were coming!"

"What happened?" He asked, trying to stand up with the woman's assistance. "I was-"

His knees became jelly and was only still upright because of the woman's arm locked around his middle. "Careful now." She warned him as he stumbled. "Oh! Oh, mind yourself!" She laughed as she helped him. "That's the transmat. It scrambles your head. I was sick for days." She had explained to him, rubbing a soothing hand over his back. "All right? So, what's your name then, sweetheart?"

"The Doctor, I think?" Still out of it, he tried to stop his head from spinning by squeezing his eyes shut and blinking. "I was, er- don't know, what happened? How -"

"You got chosen."

He blinked again. He no longer saw three of the same woman and decided that was progress. "Chosen for what?"

"You're a housemate. You're in the house." She cheered and the Doctor took a look at the room. It was full of funky and colorful furniture with drawings on the wall. "Isn't that brilliant?"

There were two other unnamed people, one man and one woman, near the log sofa which faced a TV. "That's not fair!" The t-shirt-wearing man whined and glared at the Doctor. "We've got eviction in five minutes! I've been here for all nine weeks, I've followed the rules, I haven't had a single warning, and then he comes swanning in!"

The woman near him agreed, folding her arms. "If they keep changing the rules, I'm going to protest, I am!" She was darker skinned and wore a pink outfit. "You watch me, I'm going to paint the walls!"

"Would the Doctor please come to the Diary Room?" The Doctor looked up to the ceiling as his name was announced on the PA system. He obeyed, shuffling through the door the blonde woman pointed him to, and then sat down in an oversized red chair. "You are live on Channel 44,000. Please do not swear."

The Doctor raised an eyebrow and scoffed at the predicament he found himself in. "You have got to be kidding."

Once Lily opened her eyes and lifted her head she almost cried at the throbbing pain. Beginning to lift her body off the cold floor she tried to check her surroundings to find out where she was. The task was hard seeing that the room was barely lit and only two spotlights shined. One was on her and the other was-

"Rose!" When she saw the other spotlight on her sister, lying on her back and looking unconscious, Lily found her strength to get up and fall to her knees. "Ro? Hey, wake up." The ginger started to shake her, hoping it would wake her up.

When she did, Rose seemed just as confused and out of it as Lily was. "Where are we?" She winced as she started to sit up with help from Lily.

"I don't know." Lily hated to admit, sitting up on her knees.

"It's alright." A dark-skinned man appeared bending over them. "It's the transmat. Does your head in- get a bit of amnesia?" He said as he touched two fingers to his left temple. "What're names?"

"Rose."

"Lily." The ginger stood slowly and helped Rose up to her feet- keeping an arm around each other. She looked around and started to feel worried. "Where's the Doctor?"

The man ignored her questions and eyed them both. "Just remember to do what the android says. Don't provoke it." He warned them. "The android's word is law."

Lily watched Rose's eyebrows raise. "What do you mean android?" The younger sister asked. "Like a robot?"

"Positions everyone!" A woman barked out orders from a few feet away. "Thank you!"

Right on their feet now, the man led them with hands on their backs. "Come on, hurry up." He spoke like they were irritating him. Which didn't sit well with Lily as they followed.

"Look, we were traveling with the Doctor and a man called Captain Jack." Lily started to explain. When they walked further, the space the woman was in came into view. It was a small stage with podiums around, each with its own nameplate that she couldn't read. People were swarming around. It all looked strangely familiar to her. "The Doctor would just leave us."

The woman that Lily dubbed 'the floor manager' yelled at her. "That's enough chat!" And then addressed the rest of the people. "Positions! Final call! Good luck!"

"But we're not supposed to be here!" Rose protested when they stepped up onto the stage.

"It says Lily and Rose on the podiums." The girls saw he was right, seeing their names on separate stands beside each other. "Come on."

They took their places, Lily between Rose and Roderick, as his podium read. "Hold on, I must be going mad. It can't be." Rose looked at Lily. "This looks like the - "

"Android activated!" The floor manager announced. A spotlight shone on a robot that eerily looked like a certain game show host they knew. That they grew up watching with their mum.

"Oh, my god, the android." Rose gasped.

Lily corrected her as it finally hit her on where they were. "The Anne Droid."

The Anne-Droid announced. "Welcome to The Weakest Link!"

The Doctor was currently trying to use the sonic screwdriver on a door next to an open kitchen. "I can't open it." He muttered in frustration while in the corner of his eye, he saw the blonde woman approach him.

"It's got a deadlocked seal." She explained, leaning back on the counter and watching as he struggled. "Ever since Big Brother 504 when they all walked out." Her head tilted. "You must remember that?" She quickly changed the topic as he stayed silent, now working on a large mirror. "I know you're not supposed to talk about the outside world, but you must've been watching." She hesitated. "Do people like me?" He turned off his sonic and looked at her. "Lynda." She smiled. "Lynda with a Y, not Linda with an I. She got forcibly evicted because she damaged the camera." Lynda nervously chewed her bottom lip. "Am I popular?"

He answered truthfully. "I don't remember."

"Oh," Her smile fell. "Does that mean I'm nothing?" Her face scrunched. "Some people get this far just because they're insignificant. Doesn't anybody notice me?"

"No," The Doctor had to think up something quickly to tell her. "You're nice. You're sweet. Everybody thinks you're sweet."

When she beamed the Doctor had to hold back a sigh of relief. "Oh, is that right?" Her tone was excited now. "Is that what I am? Oh, no one's ever told me that before. Lynda squinted an eye, smiling even brighter. "Am I sweet? Really?"

"Yeah." He nodded. "Dead sweet." He hurried over to the other side of the room when something odd caught his attention. "It's a wall." He commented and knocked on it, hearing Lynda follow him. "Isn't there supposed to be a garden out there or something?"

"Don't be daft." Lynda snorted. "No one's got a garden anymore. Who's got a garden?" She gasped. "Don't tell me you've got a garden?"

"No, I've just got the TARDIS-" The Doctor paused, looking up with wide eyes as all his memories started flooding back. "I remember."

"That's the amnesia!" Lynda exclaimed. "So what happened? Where did they get you?"

"We'd just left Raxacoriofallapatorius." He slowly recounted the past events. "I was down in the restricted second of Lily's library, doing maintenance-" The Doctor tried to remember if he managed to lock that case before it all went black. But that he couldn't recall. "Lily and I were talking and then there was this light." The image of Lily reaching out for him as she was pulled away by an invisible force flashed in his eyes. "This white light coming through the walls. Then - " He looked around. "I woke up here."

"Yeah, that's the transmat beam," Lynda said with a knowing smile. "That's how they pick the housemates."

"Oh, Lynda with a Y." The Doctor shook his head, sighing. He spotted a hidden camera in a mirror and started towards it. "Sweet little Lynda. It's worse than that." He gave her a hard look. "I'm not just a passing traveler. No stupid little transmat gets inside my ship. That beam was fifteen million times more powerful, which means this isn't just a game. There's something else going on." The Doctor's blue eyes moved from Lynda, addressing the camera inside the mirror. "Well, here's the latest update from the Big Brother house- I'm getting out. I'm going to find Lily, see if you've taken Rose and Jack too .. and the-" He tapped a finger on the reflected glass. "I'm going to find you."

Lily stood as the floor manager started counting down from twenty and examined the contestants further. They all seemed to look ill besides Rodrick who was currently speaking to her sister. "But we need to find the Doc-"

"Just shut up and play the game." Rodrick shushed her.

"Hey," Lily earned Rose's attention. "Let's just play for a bit, okay? The Doctor will find us soon." She reassured her.

Rose smiled. "All right, then. What the hell." She shrugged with a laugh. "I'm going to play to win!"

"Three, and cue!"

"Let's play The Weakest Link!" The Anne-Droid declared. "Start the clock. Agorax, the name of which basic foodstuff is an anagram of the word 'beard'?"

"Bread." Agorax quickly replied.

"Correct. Fitch in the Pan Traffic Calendar, which month comes after Hoob?"

"Is it Clavadoe?"

"No, Pandoff." The Anne-Droid turned to the blonde. "Rose, in maths, what is 258 minus 158?"

"One hundred!" She cheered.

"Correct." The sisters high-fived each other. "Lily - " The ginger looked at her. "Which letter of the alphabet appears in the word dangle but not in the word gland?"

Lily thought for a second then managed out. "E?"

"Correct." Lily let out a sigh of relief. "Rodrick-"

"Bank." He interrupted.

"- in social security, what D is the name of the payment given to Martian Drones?"

"Default." He answered.

"Correct. Broff, the Great Cobalt Pyramid is built on the remains of which famous Old Earth Institute?"

"Er -" He stuttered. "Touchdown."

"No, Torchwood. Agorax, in language, all five examples of which type of letter appear in the word facetious?"

"Vowels."

"Correct. Fitch, in biology, which blood cells contain iron? Red or white?"

"White."

"No, red. Rose, in the holovid series 'Jupiter Rising', the Grexnik is married to whom?"

"How the hell should I know?" The sisters shared a loud laugh.

"No, the correct answer is Lord Drayvole."

The round had ended and it was now time to vote out the weakest link among the contestants. Lily and Rose both had written down the same person but Anne-Droid decided on Rose to further explain why. "So, Rose, what do you actually do?"

"I just travel about a bit." Rose shrugged, looking at her sister with an adoring smile. "My sister and I are tourists, I suppose."

"Another way of saying unemployed."

Rose was taken aback. "No."

"Have you got a job?"

Lily decided to answer. "Well . . not really. No, but I'm writing-"

"Then you are both unemployed. And yet, you've still got enough money to buy peroxide." She looked back at Rose. "Why Fitch?"

"Er." Rose shrugged. "I think she got a few of the questions wrong, that's all."

"Oh, you'd know all about that."

"Well, yeah?" She winced. "But I can't vote for myself, so it had to be Fitch." Rose started cringing as Finch began sobbing. "I'm sorry, that's the game." She felt bad and looked at the robot host. "That's how it works? I had to vote for someone."

"Let me try again!" Fitch begged through heavy cries. "It was the lights and everything- I couldn't think!"

"In fact, with three answers wrong, Broff was the weakest link in that round, but it's votes that count."

"I'm sorry! Please!" She pleaded. "Oh god, help me!"

"Fitch you are the weakest link. Goodbye!"

Lily watched in complete horror as a barrel emerged from Anne-Droid's mouth and fired a beam at Finch- instantly disintegrating her. "What the hell?" Lily shrieked.

"And we've gone to the adverts." The floor manager announced, holding up three of her fingers to the camera. "Back in three minutes!"

Lily, still in shock, looked from the workers sweeping up Finch's remains to Rodrick, seemingly unconcerned at her death. "What the hell was that?"

"She was the weakest link, she gets disintegrated." He shrugged while wiping his board clean. "Blasted into atoms."

"But we voted for her," Rose muttered. "This is sick!" She screeched at the workers as well as their fellow contestants. It was no longer a fun game to pass the time for either of them. "All of you, you're just sick!" She held up her hands. "I'm not playing this."

"I'm not playing!" Broff shouted, which stopped Lily from announcing she felt the same as her sister. "I can't do it! I'm not!" He left his podium and sprinted away across the studio floor. "Please, somebody, let me out of here!"

"You are the weakest link." Anne-Droid turned her body toward the running man and opened her mouth, disintegrating him as well. Only when her mouth was closed she added. "Goodbye."

"Don't try to escape," Rodrick informed them. "It's play or die."

Reaching down, Lily tightly clasped her hand into Rose's tightly all while keeping a watchful eye on the Anne-Droid- whose beaming red eyes stared right back. Lily never blinked.
