jisung was awoken when the warmth next to him disappeared.
this made him squint his eyes open, seeing the smaller chinese standing up carefully from the bed, surely not to wake him up. but jisung didn't seem to want that.
"mmh... come back here..." the taller mumbled, stretching his arm out and wrapping it around the boy's waist, making him let out a cute yelp as he was pulled back against jisung's chest.
"you scared me..." chenle mumbled, placing a hand over his chest as he allowed jisung to wrap both of his muscular arms around him.
"sorry..."
chenle giggled silently as he looked at jisung who had closed his eyes once again.
he had his face squished against the pillow, and his hair was completely messy from what chenle could see, but this honestly made him look hot. and, of course, the fact he was bare chested didn't help anything.
the chinese boy couldn't believe he was cuddled into jisung's arms, after they had spent a – short – night together. he couldn't even believe the conversation that had occurred at 3am the past night, which had ended with him and jisung kissing a few times, and finally jisung pulling chenle in his bedroom and telling him to sleep in his bed with him.
and now, here they were, the next morning, both of their hearts light, and the pervious coldness that had grown between them this past week completely vanished.
as he was admiring his crush's wonderful body, chenle's eyes fell again on the tattoo that was decorating his chest. it represented a skull, traced skilfully and yet looking quite messy, in a dark ink.
chenle wasn't aware that jisung had a tattoo, and he was sure that none of the other members knew either. he had already seen jisung bare-chested a few times, and yet, he was sure his chest was bare of any ink. could that mean he had had it not so long ago?
"when did you get the tattoo...?" chenle asked, his fingers caressing the inked skin once again.
jisung's eyes opened slowly, and they fell onto chenle who was inspecting the deathly drawing on his chest.
"very long ago." he replied, barely above a whisper, not bothering to close his eyes again. he didn't want to sleep anymore, and looking at chenle was much more interesting that having his eyes closed.
"how come i never saw it, then?" chenle questioned, looking up into jisung's eyes.
"i hide it with concealer, foundation and powder." jisung replied honestly.
this had chenle frowning. "you shouldn't hide it. it's really beautiful."
"i don't really have a choice." jisung explained with a sigh.
what if someone saw it and understood who he was? mafias knew the tattoos of their rivals, and this could have jisung killed.
and what if one of the fans came to know about it too? fans were sometimes to dedicated to finding an answer to everything that they could actually discover what it really meant. and jisung didn't want that.
plus, jisung hated this tattoo. he despised the fact it would be imprinted on his skin for ever, and that this little drawing was enough to make him a criminal.
"the managers don't even know about it. no one does actually. you're the only one." jisung continued.
"when did you get it exactly?"
"around 10 years old." jisung explained, making chenle's eyes widen.
"what?!"
"it's a family thing..." jisung justified himself. "my parents also had it. it's like... tradition."
"oh..." chenle nodded, a wave of sadness hitting him as he realised that jisung would never see his parents again. this thought always saddened him. "i'm sorry i asked..."
jisung smiled as he saw chenle's frown. he pulled the boy closer to him, dropping a quick peck on his temple to reassure him.
"it's okay, le. i don't mind." jisung assured. "but, i'd like you to keep that to yourself, okay?"
"yeah." chenle nodded slowly.
"good." jisung smiled again, rubbing his and chenle's noses together.
he didn't recognise himself.
park jisung, the head of death park, the boy who had been taught not to show emotions...
he now had his heart beating so fast for the cute chinese male that was lying between his arms.
it made him so happy. chenle made him so freaking happy.
"i'm sorry for last week." jisung spoke again, looking into chenle's eyes.
"i told you it was okay yesterday night." chenle replied, snuggling closer to the taller boy.
"but i want you to know i really am." jisung repeated. "you don't deserve to be treated that way."
"jisung, you treat me better than anyone else." chenle chuckled. "what do you want me to ask more?"
"ugh, you're so perfect..." jisung groaned before burying his face in chenle's hair, inhaling the boy's divine scent.
this feeling was so good and so pleasant...
jisung would absolutely love for it to last forever.
lying down there, on his bed, with chenle between his arms.
and what if he was too careless with his acts?
what if he would get scolded by his godfather?
what if he decided to dissolve the mafia?
what if he let dark danger take over korea?
none of this seemed to matter anymore. of course not.
the only thing that mattered at that point was the chinese boy that was cuddled into his embrace.
jisung hadn't confessed his love to the older boy. and in fact, chenle hadn't either.
at that point, jisung had a small idea of what were chenle's feelings since the boy had accepted the kisses and he had spent the whole night glued to jisung; but he didn't want to ask the big question just yet.
they were having a good time right now, while things were slightly ambiguous, and jisung had already made a huge step the night before by kissing chenle. he was ready to take another one, but he didn't want to rush things with chenle, and to make him feel pressured.
a loud song disturbed the comfortable silence, making chenle sigh loudly as he recognised his ringtone.
chenle rolled out of jisung's embrace, grabbing the phone and answering.
"yes, mom?" he asked in chinese as jisung looked at him with a smile. chenle was really the cutest being to exist on this planet.
a few seconds later, chenle hung up, huffing loudly.
"what's up?" jisung asked, pulling the boy back towards him.
"my mom is coming to pick me up right now... she said she had something important to discuss." he explained.
"well, if it's important..." jisung smiled at the boy's cuteness.
"but i want to stay with you..." chenle pouted as he whined, making jisung's smile widen even more.
"i want to stay with you too, but we won't be apart for long. we'll see each other tomorrow for sure."jisung assured, kissing chenle's cheek sweetly, which had the other blushing slightly.
"i should get ready." he announced as jisung let him go. "i'm coming back." chenle added once he had picked clothes to wear. he would never change in front of someone, chenle was too shy for that.
jisung took this opportunity to pull his phone out and find his godfather's number.
he opened the message app and smiled as he typed his message.
'i fixed what was going on inside my head.'

jisung plopped on the couch by jeno's side, leaning against the older boy.
"what are we watching, hyung?" he asked.
it was finally the end of the day.
chenle had been fetched by his mother long hours ago, and the other boys had spent their day at the dorms, making a vlive in the afternoon, as requested by their managers, but overall resting before a new week full of practice started before the release of their newest album.
"i don't know, i was just trying something good to watch, but there's nothing there." jeno explained, using the remote to change the channel, and landing once again on a news channel.
"and what if we wanted a movie with all the other hyungs? this would be great?" jisung asked, a bit too cheerfully for it to sound normal.
jeno frowned, placing the remote on his lap and looking at his youngest member, placing a hand on his forehead.
"is everything alright with you?" he asked worriedly.
"yes, hyung." jisung nodded. "why?"
"first, you're cuddling to me." jeno raised a brow as jisung sat up straight, not leaning against the taller anymore. "second, you sound happy and cheery, when you're usually less expressive with your emotions." he continued. "and third, you're smiling, which usually never happens."
jisung didn't answer.
it's true that he wasn't acting normal.
but could he be blamed? chenle was completely messing with his mind.
"you and chenle finally reconciled." jeno spoke. "these days were hell for all of us, just because of you two."
"really?" jisung asked.
"yeah. you don't realise how the mood of two can influence the behaviour of seven." jeno nodded. "but, if you and chenle are in better terms now, it's good. what was your fight about?"
"h-huh..." jisung thought, obviously not wanting to tell jeno about the real reason of their fight. "it was something stupid."
"well, at least you guys are okay now, because- "
"ladies and gentlemen, we're sorry to interrupt your program, but we have some breaking news about the kpop boysband nct."
both jeno and jisung shut their mouths, concentrating on the tv.
"guys, come quick!" jeno yelled as the guy was repeating what the announcement would be about.
"what is- "
"shhh!!" jeno hushed jaemin, renjun, sungchan and shotaro that had just gotten there.
"dear nctzens, citizens of korea, and of the world, we are very sorry to announce that nct member zhong chenle has been reported missing this afternoon. his mother signalled a kidnapping, and our greatest. police teams already are searching for him. chenle's mother admitted during an interrogatory that she suspected the death park mafia which has recently been attacking all over korea. please if you find him or a member of this organisation, call the number that appears on the screen, and remember to be careful of your surroundings."
the breaking news ended, leaving the six boys inside the dorm silent and utterly shocked.
"this has to be false..." jaemin let out, his eyes widened.
"call the managers." renjun declared.
"we're not even sure it's true." jeno replied.
"yes, but- "
renjun was cut by the door of their dorm opening, and their manager running inside, only to find the six boys in front of the tv.
"guys, chenle has really been kidnapped."
