EUNHEE sniffled as she turned off her phone, throwing her beside her on her bed. She lay back, staring up at her ceiling in the dark lighting.

Both Minji and Hanni had left, per request of Eunhee who had asked for some time to herself in order to properly process the events of the night.

She had heard two different versions of the story. One coming from Jiwoo, the other from Jungwon.

She wanted to believe that Jungwon was telling the truth, she really did. But she was terrified she was believing the wrong person. She didn't want to end up in this exact situation again in the future, if she did end up believing in Jungwon.

Eunhee brought her hand up to her face, wiping her tears with it as she let out a shaky breath. Tho, it was of no use as more and more tears continued to stream down her puffy cheeks.

As much as it hurt her to do so, she had completely given up. She no longer was in dire need of the feelings such as love.

She'd return back to her old ways-- staying away from that feeling. She had done it for eighteen years, surely she'd be able to do it again.

Eunhee had always been terrified of the idea of a relationship. She had heard so many different stories surrounding the topic, and she had cousins that had always talked about their heartbreak, and how it was the worst feeling ever.

Because of this, she was scared of falling in love. She didn't want to be heartbroken, because she didn't want to experience the pain of it all.

Yet, here she was, crying over a boy.

She felt stupid.

Of course, the boy she had let steal her first kiss from her, who had managed to make her fall for him ended up to exactly what she was afraid of.

Eunhee never saw Jungwon as the player type. He was a sweet, kind soul. But, I guess that's how they play you, right? They get you to believe they're this whole version of themself that they made up to fit your standards.. to make you fall for them.

And once you finally do, they humiliate you.

And apparently, Jungwon's way of doing that to her was at prom, an event she wouldn't forget.

But, if he had really planned to embarrass her at prom, then why was he still spamming her text messages?

Why was he apologizing?

Perhaps he had planned to embarrass her on another day, and had accidentally slipped up.

But, Jungwon was fully aware of the fact that she'd be coming back in time to catch him. She had even told him so herself.

A soft buzz filled her ears, snapping her out of her trance. The girl chose to ignore it, not feeling like looking at her phone again.

She was tired, emotionally and physically.

After a minute, she heard another buzz, followed by another, and another until it was constantly buzzing.

Letting out a small sigh, she rolled over and grabbed onto her phone, looking at it through her blurry vision from the tears clouding her eyesight.
