"There this one is perfect," Peridot said grabbing a black shirt with an alien face on it off the clothing rack. She then slipped it on over her clothes, "Well?"

"You look great," Amethyst said grinning and giving a thumbs up.

Peridot went up to the counter to purchase the shirt before she and her friend exited the store.

"I wish I could just change my form so I could have as many alien print clothes as I wanted," Peridot grumbled.

"I still don't understand why you like clothes with aliens on them."

The shorter green gem shrugged, "they just fascinate me. But I do admit that human's portrayal of extra terrestrial life forms are completely strange. As if aliens were really short, green, and had triangular heads."

"Uh Per you're-never mind."

"Now. You told me after buying my shirt that you would require a-umm what was it again? A deep fried cinnamon thing..."

"A churro," Amethyst said.

"Yes that. But remind me why you eat food when you do not require nutrients," Peridot asked.

This time it was the purple quartz's turn to shrug, "I like when it gets all squishy going in and especially when it comes out."

Peridot made a face, "that's disgusting."

"You sound like Pearl."

Peridot's disgusted face twisted even more, "do not tell me that."

Amethyst began looking at the mall's map, "ok it says that we go down this hallway and down the escalator to get to the food court. So let's head over there....Peridot?"

"Over here Ames!" She shouted.

Amethyst turned and saw Peridot sitting on a coin operated rocket ship, "let's take this to the food court."

She snorted at her friend, "Peri we can't ride that. It doesn't actually move. See?"

Amethyst inserted a coin into the slot and the rocket ship began to rock back and forth.

The green gem's light green complexion darkened, "I knew that."

Amethyst chuckled and ruffled Peridot's hair, "you're so cute sometimes."

"Yeah yeah.... let's just go get your snack."

The two gems headed to the foodcourt and Amethyst ordered her food. When it came she offered one to her friend, "just try one."

"I told you I don't eat human food."

"Suit yourself."

With that Amethyst began chowing down on her churros. But Peridot couldn't help but admit to herself how good the deep fried snack really did look.

"Fine one bite," she finally said taking one out of the basket.

Amethyst watched her inspect it, "Per you're supposed to eat it it's not going to eat you."

Peridot look down at the churro and as she squeezed her eyes shut she finally took one bite. Her face broke out into a grin, "oh my stars!"

"Told you." Amethyst said. She reached to grab another churro but Peridot had grabbed the plastic basket they were sitting in and was stuffing her face.

Amethyst then made a mental note to not tell Peridot how tasty human food was. Even if she did look quite cute chowing down on the churros.
