"Monsters" Mirei had to blink in puzzlement at this statement. Brian Flor, a student who was in her Microbiology class had told her. Mirei started to giggle at this statement. "Oh that's a cute joke." She patted him on the shoulder.  Mirei was an eighteen year old woman. She had shoulder length violent hair, and dark purple eyes. Her skin was lightly tan, and a soft smile played on her lips, which was tinted with rose colored lipstick. She was wearing a pink dress shirt, black jeans and white sneakers. On the tip of her nose was purple rimmed glasses.  She was in her sophomore year of college. And she was interested in going for a Biology degree. But she had no idea where she would go afterword's from there. 

The man who was a year older than her shook his head. "I knew you wouldn't believe me." he grumbled. The man had short black hair, bright hazel eyes that always seem to draw in Mirei's attention. He was slender and slightly fit. He wore a blue button up dress shirt, tan slacks, and black dress shoes. On the tip of his nose, was a pair of black rimmed glasses. Mirei quickly shook her head as she rested a hand on his shoulder. "Wait...I didn't say that." She whispered. She felt her cheeks begin to burn. 

Mirei felt like she did have feelings for this friend she had met only a year ago. As she recalled this, a faint smile played on her lips. She had moved all the way from Tokyo, Japan. To attend a university in the States. Where she had finally met him. Someone who had swept her off her feet. The two of them were currently sitting down on a soft green furnished couch. In the student center at their local college. The two of them were sitting side by side. 

Brian softly smiled at her comfort. "Thanks." He grabbed her hands and held them close. "Out of everyone I know. I would think you would believe me. You see...it happen when I was only eight years old." He reminded her. Retelling her, his story. He had only told her five mintues ago. "My brother and I were out in the front yard. Playing a game of catch. When the ball rolled into the road. I told him, I would get the ball. And raced after it. I was so excited, I didn't noticed the incoming car." 

Mirei frowned at this news. She had to be honest, she was a little sad to hear this news. But she had stopped listening when he started to tell her tales of monsters from another world. But this time. She wanted to listen to every word that came out of his mouth. She always saw him as honest, and imaginative. So there was no reason for him to deceive her. 

Brian shook his head as he seem to recall what happen. "It happened so quickly." He whispered rubbing a hand across his face. "A loud screeching noise from tires, and the screams from my mother." He shook his head. "I don't even remember being hit by the car. But I ended up in the hospital with a coma." He sighed as he rested back on the couch. "My mother told me I was in the hospital for over five months. Until one day, she came to visit me. The day my school had a school field trip to see Disney world. But my dear older brother didn't get to go. But on the fateful day, the hospital had a power surge. And with that surge of energy. Something peculiar happen to me. I woke up in another world." He informed her. 

Mirei nodded softly. "A world full of monsters?" She asked.  Brian smiled brightly and his eyes twinkled. Brian nodded. "When I awoke. I was greeted by a creature, that appeared to be a bipedal dog. It stood on his hind legs, and had white and blue fur. It even wore boxing gloves on his front paws. And a red bandana around his forehead. But that wasn't all, he could talk. He said I appeared in the cave a few days ago. And he was trying to nurse me back to health. In a few days him and I became best friends. He protected me from the other monsters in that realm. And eventually I ran into a group of other children. With their own partnered monsters. The ten of us together, were almost an unstoppable force..." He grew quiet for a moment until he recalled another memory. 

"It wasn't until....I grew so angry." He whispered. "It was my fault...but Gaomon... I forced him to change into a powerful dark beast. He attacked my friends, and I couldn't wake him up. But...then they came. Some of the leaders of this other world. They killed my friend right in front of me. I was no longer a hero in their eyes. And they force me to leave their world. I awoke in the bed at the hospital screaming, with tears running down my face. From that day, I swore that I would make those beings pay for what they did to my best friend. I would return, and prove to the digital world. That humans and digimon could dwell in the same world in harmony!" 

Mirei was shocked by this. "But how do you know it wasn't a dream." She asked puzzled. "It could have been a dream caused by you being in a coma." She explained. He shook his head and smiled at this. "Because of this." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small white device. The device was rather small and fit nicely in the palm of his hand. Around the screen was strange symbols, which she didn't recognize from anything she read in her world languages class. The screen itself was shattered, and it buzzed with  static. 

"This was given to me, when Gaomon and I agreed that we would work together. And protect our friends. With this device, it made me a hero. And I will make sure his life wasn't taken in vein. Mirei, when we graduate from college. Will you come with me, and help me with my goal to get to this other world. Will you help me become the hero I used to be. I need someone like you. Someone who sees things in a different light. Your so gentle, kind and intelligent. I need you." Mirei stared into his eyes. And for some reason. The two of them didn't realize they were so close to one another. The two pushed their lips together. Sharing a soft kiss. A kiss that almost seemed to bind their agreement of a new business deal. And maybe something more. 

(Four years later) 

Mirei smiled to herself as she was sitting back on a rocking chair. A lot has changed ever since she was in college. She was now settled down with the man of her dreams. And now she was now known as Mirei Flor. A silver ring was on her right ring finger. With a small beautiful white diamond in the center. She loved Brian Flor, and she couldn't think of any other man she would want to share her life with. 

The two of them bought a rather large building together. With money they got from working several jobs, and money they got from family members from their wedding two years ago. Soon they were able to make their operation. And started to work together. They were able to hire up a crew of scientist. To start working on the clock. And they were beginning to become rather successful. They were able to open a portal to the digital world. 

"Mommy" A young female voice whispered. Mirei stared down at the ground in front of her. Her daughter Athena look up at her. She had been playing with a small doll, that Mirei's mother had made her last year. Her daughter was only a year old. And she was her whole world. The young girl wore a white t-shirt, with ruffled pink sleeves, pink shorts, and pink socks covered her tiny feet. Her young daughter was so bright, and so intelligent at such a young age. Her birthday would be here so soon. She would be two years old, any day now. 

"What is it honey?" She asked with a sweet voice. She got out of her chair and sat down next to her daughter. Mirei was currently wearing a white long sleeved shirt, black slacks and black dress shoes. Her daughter pointed a finger at something in the dark under her crib. "We are hungry." She announced. 

With the announcement of "we" a small little creature hopped out of the darkness of the crib. The creature was in the shape of a kickball. It was red in color. And it had three small horns on top of it's round heads. It had black beaming eyes in the center of its face, and a frown plastered on it's face. It let out a little whine. As if it was confirming it's hunger it shared with her daughter. 

Mirei could only laugh at this. She knew of this creature. It came through the portal. that they opened to the digital world. It was a baby level digimon. It couldn't yet talk. But it seem to take a liking to her daughter. It wouldn't stay calm as long as it was by her side. 

Athena picked up the small creature and held it in her arms. With that Mirei picked up her daughter and held her close in her arms. She walked out of the room they were in. And walked over to the kitchen. As she walked, she stared out a window of her house and noticed that it was pitch black outside. It must be really late. She thought to herself. "Where is Brian?" She whispered out loud. 

"Daddy?" Athena asked out loud. Her daughter stared around the house. As if she was trying to look for her father in the house. The small creature in her arms mimicked her movements. As if it was trying to help her to look. "Daddy isn't home yet. He is still at work." She reassured her. She kissed her daughter on top of her head. Mirei look at her daughter, her long black hair was reaching past her shoulders, and her eyes matched her own purple eyes. 

When they made it into the kitchen. Mirei set her daughter in her purple high chair. And set the little table down in front of her. Athena kept a hold of her little friend and smiled up at her. "So what do you want to have today?" She asked with a soft smile. Athena stared down into her friend's eyes. And seem to pause for a second, it was as if her daughter and the creature was sharing some unknown conversation with one another. "Fr-uit" She announced finally. 

Mirei smiled at this. She had given her daughter a small helping of fruit the other day. And she was glad that she had started to take a liking for different foods. "Strawberries it is." Mirei walked into the kitchen and started to chop the strawberries into small bite size pieces. And then carefully removed the seeds on each of the pieces. When the task was done. She put the fruit into two small bowls. And placed them in front of Athena. 

Her daughter smiled happily, as she took a handful of the fruit and took a bite out of it. The digimon in her arms, hopped up onto the table, and started to eat its fair share of the fruit. From it's own bowl. 

Mirei sat down on a wooden chair and smiled softly as she watched her daughter. She never knew being a mother was a tough job. But she loved it all the same. Mirei and her husband agreed to, one of them staying home and taking care of Athena. While the other continues the research. Mirei was happy to become the stay at home parent. She couldn't imagine leaving Athena in a day care center for hours on end. So many kids get sick there. 

Just then, as if breaking the silence of the night. The phone let out a low shrill ring. Mirei look away from her daughter, in the direction of the home phone. It let out another low shrill ring. Mirei sighed and got up from her chair. She kissed her daughter on her forehead, and walked over to the phone. She picked it up mid third ring. And said "Hello Flor, residence." She smiled softly as she announced this. 

"Mirei" She was taken back as she heard Brian on the other line. His voice sounded worried. As if something tragic has happen. "What's wrong honey? What's going on?" She asked with concern started to fill her voice. "It won't close. The portal, it won't shut. We were conducting some mandatory test on it. And suddenly, when we were going to shut it off. The portal started to contract on itself. It's pulling everything it can from the lab. We have to shut it down by force. I need your key." He said worriedly. 

Mirei's eyes shook with worry. Her and her husband both had keys, in a case of this emergency. If the portal were to ever malfunction. They would have a force override. They would cause the portal to shut down. But their was a slight change that it could be broken beyond prepare. Which worried her, the creation of the portal, was not something that cost a pretty penny. And would be hard to rebuild. 

"Don't worry. I will be right there." She said quickly already grabbing her purse, and a white lab coat that she had hung on a handle. "Please hurry." He pleaded. With that Mirei hung up and placed the phone back in it's cradle. She turn towards her daughter, and her friend. "We need to hurry up and go see daddy." She said with a soft smile. Not trying to worry them. 

She picked up Athena. And quickly raced out the house, nearly forgetting to lock the door behind her. When she got into the car. She put her daughter in her booster seat in the seat directly behind her. And started to drive the car, as fast as the speed limit allowed her to go.

(A few mintues later, Lab) 

Rushing through the building. Mirei was met with people rushing around the building in a blind panic. Which only scared Athena, and her little digimon friend. The two of them would whimper in panic. And close their eyes, and hide themselves by looking away from the mayhem. Mirei had raced through this mess of panic. And climbed the staircase two stairs at a time. When she made it the fifth floor. She took a left, then a right, followed by two more lefts to reach the laboratory. Where all hell was let loose. 

The portal was pulling in machinery, and any loose equipment in the room. People were busily on the outside, trying to shut down the portal. But none of them were having any success whatsoever. Her husband was staring into the lab. A frown plastered on his face. He almost appeared to be heart broken, as if he was just told his mother had passed away. 

'Brain!" Mirei called out. Her husband turn to the sound of her voice. And sighed in relief. "You made it. We don't have much time." He informed her. She nodded and carefully placed her daughter and the digimon on the ground. Out of the way, of any panicking scientist. "You two stay here." She instructed. 

Athena nodded, while the baby digimon only blinked up at her. As if it was trying to tell her that it understood as well. Mirei took a deep breath before she pulled a bronze key out of her pocket. Her husband mimic her. And the two of them walked over to a machine. The machine was rather small, about the size of a small shoe box. But it contained the kill code, that would force override the portal. The two of them inserted the keys, and were about to turn the keys. When a little shout was heard. 

"W- where you go?" Athena's voice asked. Mirei looked up from the machine. And let out a horrified scream. As she saw her daughter in the lab. The young two year old girl was crawling after her friend. Who must have hopped into the room. When her and her husband were distracted. And Athena must have gone after it. 

"Athena come back here!" She cried. Brain tried to grab her. But Mirei was too quick. She rushed into the room in the direction of her daughter. "Mommy!" Athena cried. Mirei grabbed her daughter, right as when she was being lifted into the air. Mirei held onto her daughter closely. A little shout was heard. And Mirei and her daughter look in front. To see the baby digimon being lifted into the air. 

It was being dragged into the direction of the open portal. Athena held out a tiny hand in the direction of her friend. "Noooo!" She screamed with tears running down her little chubby cheeks. Mirei look in the direction of the portal and gasped as she saw a huge figure standing in the center of the purple blob. The figure appeared to  be seven feet tall. And it was holding up a inhuman hand up. As if it was waiting to catch a baseball in it's hand. She seem to understand it wanted the baby digimon. 

The baby digimon let out a little shrill cry before white energy started to surround her daughter. The blast of white light left her body. And surrounded the small digimon. And something that seemed impossible to Mirei, happened before her very eyes. "Coalmon digivovle too..." In the blinding white light. The creature grew a body, arms, legs, and a small tail. The creature appeared to be a small bipedal dragon. 

It had a small round head, with the small three small horns in the center of its forehead. Its eyes were now a blazing orange, and it had a worried frown on its face as it look in the direction of Athena. Around its neck was a bright bronze chain necklace, with a green emerald attach to the end of the chain. It had a chubby stomach which was covered in dusty brown scales. The rest of his body was covered in dark fire truck red scales, it had tiny little wings on its little back that it tried to flap quickly. To get away from the portal. And its tiny claws were a soft white. It open its maw which was covered in small white fangs. "Rocomon!" He shouted. 

Mirei was surprise to hear the small dragon digimon let out a male voice. It could speak! The dragon held out a tiny paw in the direction of Mirei and her daughter. "Don't worry Athena! I will find you again!" He cried as the back of his body was being pulled through the portal. "I love you!" he sobbed. Before he disappeared. 

Athena held out her tiny little hands in the direction of Rocomon. "Please no!" She cried. Tears still streamed down her cheeks. Mirei frowned as she knew her daughter's friend was gone. And their was nothing she could do. She stared back at the purple portal. And gasped as the figure disappeared. The portal changed from purple to a brilliant blue. And the portal started to change frequency. It started to pull things in, as if it had become a tornado. Mirei had a hard time keeping her feet on the ground.

"Brain!" She screamed. Brain ran into the doorway, and look at her with a worry look. Mirei had a tear steam down her face before she kissed her daughter on top of her head. "I love you so much." She then threw her daughter with all of her might in the direction of her husband. Brain caught their daughter and tried to motion for her to run over. But Mirei knew that it was pointless. Even as she began to move her foot off the ground. She felt herself being lifted off the ground. 

Brain held out his hands to her. "Mirei! Don't leave me!" He shouted. But those were the last words she will ever hear from him. Because she was pulled head over heels towards the portal. And through the mass of blue energy. As her body was pulled through the portal. Athena let out a shrill cry for her mother. And the portal shut off, as she was now gone. 

(Digital world, one year after the event) 

Mirei smiled as she took a sip from her cup of cold brew iced coffee. The taste of rich caramel played on the tips of her taste buds. She closed her eyes in sweet bliss at the wonderful taste. She hummed and slowly opened her eyes. As she heard two sets of footsteps behind her. She turned around in the large black rolling chair she was sitting on. And turned in the direction of the two approaching figures. 

The first figure on the left, was a woman who was wearing angelic armor. She had soft cream colored skin, and six pairs of white angelic wings that seem to drape behind her. As if she was wearing a white feathered cape.  The woman's eyes were covered with a metallic black helmet, with small white feathers sticking out on either side of the helmet. Blonde hair fell past her shoulders, and seem to glow in the dim light. The woman appeared to have a soft smile on her face as she walked. 

To her right, it appeared that she had an evil step sister. This woman was wearing what could only be described as a biker outfit. That had some rips and tears here and there. Around her hands were many silver rings that seem to glitter upon notice. On her right shoulder, attached to her very neck was a rather strange creature. It almost look like a shadow creature with a creepy smile. The woman was wearing a mask, that allowed her eyes to be seen through small eye holes. A boastful smile played on her gray lips. And gray long hair passed to the small of her back. 

The two woman were both digimon. At the ultimate level. Mirei had met them when she had been taken to the digital world under her will. At the time they were both in their champion level forms. A Gatomon, and a BlackGatomon. The two of them were rather close friends. But at the time of their met. They were both arguing on what to do for that day. Until Mirei appeared in their lives. 

She had to admit, she was terrified of seeing the strange lands she was in. Full of digital monsters just like her husband described. But while she was in these lands. She learned of some very dark truths. Things that Brain wanted to keep hidden from her. And she couldn't accept that any longer. 

She had learned of his true intentions. He had no plans of uniting the digital world and the human world together. He had no interest between humans or digimon. But his true desire was to take over the digital world. And to rule with an iron fist, she couldn't even believe that she married him. 

When she appeared in the digital world. She was surprised to see her appearance had changed in this new strange world. Her hair was now rather short, only reaching the tips of her ears. She now wore a white buttoned up blouse, black dress paints that was held up by a light purple belt, with a heart shaped silver belt buckle. She also wore white long boots with purple laces. She was disinterested in the outfit at first, because she felt that it made her look younger than she was. 

But over time she grew to love it. It made her mysterious. And she had to admit, when she met the digidestined from many different time periods, or different dimensions. They always seem to be confused by her. Which didn't even bother her in the slightest. She loved giving them riddles that told them the truths of the situations they were in. But never really telling them the answer they truly seek.  

"Good morning you two" She said with a pleasant smile. She stared between the angel and demon digimon. "How did your research went?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. The angel held out her left hand, which held a metallic gray cube. The cube was probably the size of a Rubix cube. "Thank you Angewomon. I am sure you had no trouble with retrieving this?" 

Angewomon shook her head. Keeping her soft smile on her face. "None at all Mirei." She said with a rather soft sing-song voice. Mirei turned her attention to the demon digimon. She had assigned a very special task to her. "D-did you find her?" She asked with a hopeful, but hesitant tone. She wanted to know the answer, but still scared on what she would hear. 

LadyDevimon's smile, fell to a worried frown. "I am sorry to inform this to you Mirei. But I have learned that Brian, had discarded your daughter Athena. Her whereabouts are unknown. And some of my sources are under the belief that he had dropped her off at a foster home, under a new name. 

Mirei felt her heart break at this news. Her hopes were to open a portal to the real world. And finding her daughter. And asking her if she would want to come to the digital world with her. But with the news that she was missing. She could only feel worried. Brian had plans...plans that not involved five random children. But also her daughter. She wanted to make sure his plans would never come to light. And would do anything in her power to prevent this. 

She sighed and stared around the lab she had invented with the help of her two friends. The lab was rather large, and with lit by small dim lights that hung on the ceiling. And was casted by many silver screens that were held into the wall. She sighed and took a sip of her coffee which almost seem to lift her spirits somewhat. 

A sudden siren sounded from the computer behind her. The shrill sound of it. Caused the lavender haired woman to jump in her chair. She quickly turn the chair around so she could face the screen. Her eyes narrowed as information formed in front of her. "T-This doesn't make sense." She whispered to herself. "How could a portal be opening in my world? The gate is supposed to be closed. Forced close by the royal knights." 

Mirei snapped her head around to face her two friends. "Do either of one of you, have scouts in this area?" She asked quickly. The two ultimate digimon held up their left hands. As screens of pink and black light appeared in front of them respectfully. The two of them frowned as they were reading information scrolling up in front of them. Suddenly Angewomon smiled. "I have one near the area." 

She pressed a button, and an image appeared. The image showed a rather small house. The house was a coffee colored brown, with red roof tiles. This image was being shown through the eyesight of the digimon that was in that area. Mirei pressed an ear piece, and said aloud. "Do you read me?" She asked. 

A young female voice answered her. "Loud and clear." Mirei smiled at this news. "You need to find a way inside." She instructed. The figure answered with a clear. "Yes ma'am" Mirei frowned as she watched the figure run straight towards the house, Trying to stay hidden in with the shadows. But thankfully the troop member was able to sneak into a small crack of a open window. 

Once inside, the figure stared around the house. The house was pitch black. The only thing that seemed out of place. Was a small white dimmed light. The digimon made its way to the light. To find a six year old girl staring at a laptop. The girl had a shocked surprise look on her face as she stared at the screen in front of her. The girl had light cream colored skin. Her hair was cut short, and seem to be unkept, it was a bright red. While her eyes was a bright hazel that seem to glitter in the dim light. She wore a button up pink pajama top, and paints. 

From the laptop, a sphere started to take shape from the screen. Which soon started to take shape of a large egg. Which Mirei could only know that it was a digiegg. The egg was red in color, with light orange circles here and there. The young girl gasped as she stared at the large egg. She slowly reached out to touch the egg. And seem to laugh to herself, as realization appeared on her face. It was almost like she realized that this thing was something special. 

Mirei frowned as she started to gather some information on this girl. Her name was Skylar Ruby. A girl at the age of six. Which concerned her the most, was the fact. That Skylar was one of the five children that was on her husband's plans. How could he know that Skylar would become a digidestined? 

The young girl hugged the egg. And smiled to herself. She quickly left the room and walked into the darkness of her house. Mirei clicked her ear piece once again. "Okay, you should stay there. I want to see what develops further between that young girl and that digimon." She instructed. 

"Yes ma'am!" The young digimon replied to her. Mirei sighed as she slouched back in her chair. "I will keep watch of Skylar. Please will you two return to your post?" She asked. Her question directed to her two friends. "Indeed." They both said in unison. The two ultimate digimon turned on their heels, and left the room. 

Mirei took another sip of her coffee. "Now time to watch" She said with a smile. As time went on. Skylar had awoken to a open digiegg. To find a happy Nyokimon sitting next to her in her bed. The small sprout digimon was giggling as the red haired girl ticked the creature. 

Mirei watched as Skylar would care for the plant based digimon. The girl would feed the baby digimon. Until suddenly the creature was surrounded with a white blinding light until a Yokomon took Nyokimon's place. Skylar seem to appear frighten by this sudden change. But didn't really seem to mind. The girl continued to play with her new friend. The two would play a game of tag. Until the in-training based digimon asked for more food. In a young male voice. 

Skylar had agreed, and heated up some left over grilled chicken. She had found in her refrigerator. And once the microwave was finished cooking the left overs. The young girl gave her friend the food. A sudden shrill ring caused the young girl to jump. 

Skylar quickly raced over to pick up the phone. And answered with a soft smile. "Hi, mommy." She said with a happy grin. The young girl was talking excitedly to her mother on the line. Which only made Mirei frowned. A tug was pulling at her heart. Her daughter should be the same age as Skylar now. She wondered if her daughter would sound this excited if she were to call her from work. 

Mirei wiped a few tears from her eyes. And gasped as she noticed a source of white energy surrounding Skylar. The white energy built up around her, and launched itself towards the Yokomon. Who absorbed the light, and grew in size. Until a Biyomon took its place. The rookie based digimon blinked and stared at its body. 

Mirei felt like she was slapped across the face. This young girl was able to make a baby level digimon, digivovle all the way to rookie level, all in one day? What kind of power did she possess? As Skylar said her goodbyes to her mother. She ended the call, and jumped as Biyomon hugged her from behind. The bird digimon seem to catch her off guard. 

But Skylar wasn't scared of him. Quite the opposite actually. She just seem to be pleased that Biyomon was her friend. Mirei continued to watch the two new friends play games. Until her parents came home. The red head hid her bird friend in her closet. 

As the night came once again. Mirei watched as Skylar was holding Biyomon close to her as she slept in her bed. The young girl was smiling softly as she slept. But Mirei grew confused as Biyomon seem to get up during the middle of the night and left the room. Skylar woke up from her slumber. 

"Biyomon?" The young girl asked aloud. Not getting an answer, the girl got out of her bed and left her room. The young girl was walking through the halls of her house. Not knowing a troop member digimon was following after her in the dark. Watching her every movements. Worry was shown on her young face. 

Skylar had found her bird friend. In the computer room. Mirei was surprised to see a strange green mist forming in the room. And the bird digimon seem to be acting violently when staring at the screen in front of him. 

Mirei looked closely, until she gasped. As Skylar grabbed ahold of the digimon. And was pulled into the mist. And disappeared along with the rookie digimon. Mirei quickly got up from her chair. And started to press a few buttons on a small black watch. She got a few readings from the fading green mist. And found the exact coordinates she was transported to. Odaiba, Japan. 

Mirei pressed a few more buttons. Until she was transported in the middle of a street. A few sounds of screaming was heard all around her. People rushed from out of their cars. And seem to be panicking from some unknown source. Mirei sighed as she stared up into the sky, and was taken back. As she saw a large egg in the sky. 

"So your here." A male voice snarled. Mirei turned in the direction of the voice. The figure was small in shape. The size of a great Dane. But it was covered in a black cape. Covering its entire body. "Can't you feel it? Time is being tampered with. And I know its due to a young girl. By the name of Ruby, Skylar." By the name of the young girl. Fire was shot into the sky. And hit the egg. But Mirei could see that the egg didn't suffer any damage at all. 

"Wait" Mirei whispered. She stared off down the streets to see a rather large Agumon heading in the direction of the egg. With a young girl holding onto it for dear life. "Koromon! Please stop! Let's go home!" She cried. 

Mirei couldn't believe it. They were in the exact time. Where the digidestineds of Tai and his friends were chosen in this very battle to save the digital world. Why was Skylar transported here? And did this have anything to do with her husband, and his plans to use her? 

"Mirei!" The figure growled. "Time is being changed." He informed her. He narrowed his eyes. "I can see many roads forming in front of me. I need you to choose. Choose five or more children in the surrounding area. These children must have a similar aura, and must be chosen to stabilize time. Skylar is causing a harming effect on the fabric of time." 

Mirei frowned at this command. Did he mean to tell her, that she needed to choose five or more children. To become digidestined. That weren't even meant to be digidestined in the first place? 

At her own hesitation. The egg in the sky, shattered and a loud bird caw was heard in the surrounding area. And a Parrotmon appeared in the sky. The ultimate level digimon soared through the sky. And Mirei could almost make out Skylar's little body holding onto dear life of the large bird digimon. 

"Mirei you need to choose now. I don't know how much longer I can stabilize this. I don't understand how this girl, was able to cause a rookie digimon, to bypass the champion level. Time is breaking, and it needs to stabilize. Choose now!" He roared. As golden light started to surround his body. Seeming to slow down time around them. "Ticking Hour!" He screeched

Everything froze around them. Mirei stared up in the sky. To see Parrotmon frozen in the sky, in mid-flight. The Agumon was getting ready to fire another blast of fire at the ultimate digimon. Mirei shook her head and started to look around, as she was commanded to do so. She stared around at the surrounding area. And noticed two young girls. A girl of the age of eight, was holding onto their little sister, probably the same age of Skylar. The oldest had long jet black hair that draped her shoulders. She was wearing a buttoned up blue shirt, with a black skirt. While the youngest sister was wearing a purple t-shirt, tan shorts. And was holding a small stuff animal lion.

Mirei clicked the right side of her glasses. And smiled. Purple arua seem to gather around the youngest girl. Already seeming to show her potential. While she could tell with the oldest. That their was dormant gray energy in the center of the heart. Locked away, presumably by the oldest herself.

But if she were to open it. True strength was surely to follow. The oldest was currently sheilding her sister. From the whole scene. While the younger sister had a shocked open mouth. As she stared up at the large parrot-like digimon. Mirei clicked on her glasses taking a picture of the two girls. Already believing these two would make good digidestined. 

She then quickly turned around and checked over to an balcony above. Where she could make out a young seven year old boy. The boy appeared to be wearing a light green button up shirt, and green pants. He seem to be scared of the whole ordeal. As if he was about to run back inside and yell for his mother. Mirei clicked her glasses and noticed a bright green aura rescinding in  the young boy. She tapped her glasses again. And saved a picture for later. 

Mirei quickly stared around again. And noticed another young boy. He was holding a gym bag over his shoulder. He appeared to be eight years old. And had spiky fire truck red hair.  His eyes were an intelligent silver that seem to glow in the dim light. He was wearing a red t-shirt with a swim team logo. Along with bright orange swim trunks. The young boy was staring up into the sky, with a shocked look. But even had a slow smirk that had started to form, before time began to freeze. 

Mirei pressed a button on her glasses once more. To see a bronze aura cover his body. She smiled softly and pressed another button on her purple glasses. With that she knew that she only needed one or two more kids. To become the reminder of this digidestined group. And stared into a white van. In the back seat. Were two children. One at the age of fourteen. She had long black hair that seem to pass her shoulders, her eyes were a soft cheerful blue. She wore a black blouse, with a pink ribbon in the center of her neck. She also wore white dress paints, and a pink watch on her left arm. The young girl had a strange blue aura that seem to powerfully surge around her. Mirei quickly took a picture of this oldest girl and turned to her younger brother. 

The kid was probably only four years old. The two siblings were Hispanic. And this young boy had short spiky black hair and deep chestnut brown eyes. He wore a light blue t-shirt, with a micky mouse logo in the center of his shirt, along with tan shorts. The young boy was sitting in his booster seat. And was reaching for his mother's shoulder. As if he was going to warn his parents in the front seat of the monsters ahead. The young boy had a brown aura that surrounded him. The aura was not as strong as his sister. But she felt, as if it would become similar one day. Even though she took a picture of the young boy. 

"I found six!" She announced over to the digimon standing on top of a white pickup. The digimon in the black cloak nodded. Before he answered her in a strained voice. The effects of holding back time having a huge effect on him. "A-About time." He groaned. He waved a metallic paw in the air. And time seem to resume. 

Fire balls shot up into the air. Striking the parrot digimon. The ultimate digimon let out a loud howl that seem to fill the air. The Parrot digimon landed on the ground. And seem to have a moment of hesitation. Until Skylar hopped off of the large bird. And ran into an alleyway. The bird then turned towards the large Agumon. And fired a blast of electricity at him. The dino let out a painful cry. 

Mirei watched for a while. Seeming to be amazed that the Parrot digimon was acting as if it needed to protect Skylar. This was way different then the time that original happened in this universe. "You are beginning to understand." The digimon next to her whispered. 'Time is becoming altered. And I have no idea how. That young girl is changing things. And I don't know how to feel about it." He growled lowly. 

"I think I may know who is behind this. My husband Brian. He may have been the one to give her the egg of Parrotmon. And then sent her and him to this very place. He wanted her..." Mirei drifted off before realization hit her. "He wanted her to be here! This night of all nights. When the digidestined were chosen! So she would be picked along with the other eight!" 

The digimon with her. Seem to be surprised at this notation. "You make a good point. This child has shown that she has a significant aura. That would allow a digimon to digivovle rather quickly. But she wasn't meant to be here." 

Just then, the two of them watched as Agumon had digivovle into Greymon and started to fight. Fist to fist with Parrotmon. Tai and his sister Kari were watching with surprised looks of their new friend. Mirei turned away from the fight. And narrowed her eyes as nine beams of yellow light formed from the sky. Unseen by the human eye. As they casted their light on Tai, and his friends. Including Skylar who was still hiding in the alleyway. 

"Looks like your theory was right. Skylar was chosen at this very moment. The person who sent her here. Knew this would happen." He shook his head. "Brian is going to pay for this ordeal. Messing with time, has its effects on people. Because time can kill." He snarled as he held up razor sharp golden claws. 

Mirei watched as the creature ripped a large golden tear in the air before them. It was a unseen portal by the human eye. The digimon peered over his shoulder at her. "Make sure, you begin preparing for those six children you have chosen. Prepare for their arrival. And make sure they know why they were picked in the first place." With that. The digimon pounced through the golden portal, and it shut behind him. 

This left Mirei standing in the middle of the barren streets. Cars had seem to rush off. With out her knowing. And the fight seem to have finished. Greymon and Parrotmon both were flying up into the sky. Where a golden portal was up there waiting for the two of them. When the two digimon faze through, the portal closed behind them. 

Mirei sighed and briskly walked over to the alleyway. She noticed Skylar hiding in earlier. The young girl was unconscious, and tears streaked her cheeks. Mirei picked up the young six year old. And held her close. Before she pressed a few buttons on her watched and created a portal in front of her. She stepped through and entered Skylar's very home. The woman placed Skylar in her bed. And covered the young girl with her blanket. 

Once again Mirei, felt a deep pain in her stomach. Wondering if this is what it felt like being a mother again. Wondering if she would be able to tuck her daughter Athena into bed. And then read to her. Mirei shook her head and pressed a button on her watch. A portal appeared in front of her. And she walked through the mass of purple energy. With it closing behind her. When she reappeared in her lab. She got set to begin working. 

She pulled up the pictures she took. And brought up information of the six children. The children's names appeared one by one.  Cassandra "Cassie" Takahaski,  Laurel "Luna" Takahaski, Andy Wolf, Sol Ayano, Oliva Rodriguez, and Simon Rodriguez. 

With their information in front of her. Mirei began to type rather quickly. Already constructing designs on their digivices. And trying to make sure the devices would be able to withstand their each individual auras. And so could only hope, that she could make a digivices that would be able to withstand that strong aura that Oliva  possess. 

(A few months) 

Mirei smiled to herself as she was finishing her sketching on her computer. Where six symbols glowed powerfully. The six crest that would belong to these children. The crest of forgiveness, protection, Empathy, Loyalty, Determination, and Mercy. 

The purple haired woman turned away from her computer. Where six digieggs lay in wait. Waiting for their tamer to make it to the digital world. All she needed to do now. Was wait for their arrival. When would that time be. She had no clue. But she would be willing to bet. That some danger would be involved for these six.  

"It is almost time" She whispered. She stared at her ring finger. Where her wedding ring lay. The diamond glittered in the low light. "Almost time for you to pay..."

Some explanation: This is some background story. To learn more about Mr. Flor's past. And not only that. But to learn about Cassie's and Luna's background story. How the two of them became digidestined. And why are Oliva and Simon involved? You must read more to find out.
