Your relationship with God shouldn't be a chore. It shouldn't be things you do and check off your list. Think about your relationships with other people, when a relationship becomes a checklist of things you need to do then it will end. With God you need to spend time with Him for the sake of spending time with Him. Read the Bible and listen to what He has to say, pray and talk to Him, or just be in His presence and be still. God doesn't want your relationship something you have to do. Many people see being a Christian that way, as one more thing that needs to get done but that's not really it at all. Being a Christian is about loving a having a relationship with the God that created you and died for you. Do you know how special it is from other religions that God came down into this mess of a world to have a relationship with you. Not to give you a bunch of rules you need to follow to earn His love but to let you know Him and love Him like He loves you.
