We often look at our lives like we're the main character in the story of our life. However we're really just a small supporting roles in God's story for the universe. When we think we are the main character we think everything revolves around us and we get very focused on what's happening now in your life. However when you look at it from God's perspective you are part of a beautiful plan but you might not know how everything fits together. You can't put God in a box and pray to Him and trust Him when you need help but then when things are going good you don't think about Him at all. That is making God who you want Him to be not you following God. But often when I see people thinking they are the main character they only think about God when He is convenient. God is not a genie in a bottle for you to make wishes He will not give you everything you want because you need to go through suffering sometimes to turn into who He created you to be. He created you so we shouldn't hunk we have any kind of power over Him to put Him in a box and take Him out when we need something.
