A lot of the times with religion people you confirmation bias. Where you already believe something and then only acknowledge facts that support your opinion. A lot of the time we don't even realize what we're doing but we all are guilty of using confrontation bias at one point or another. A lot of the time I see confirmation bias with skeptics who are told all the facts about why Jesus is God and still don't believe even though all logic points to God. We live in a world that is placing less and less value on religion. We recently changed BC, before Christ, to BCE, before common era, when talking about dates because didn't want to offend anyone. It's getting harder to be a Christian because our world that rushes along claiming Christianity is for weak people who can't accept reality, the world labels Christians as hypocrites who try to force their opinions onto others. The world is trying to get us to run away from God, don't worry about what they say just keep your eyes on God. It's not easy to tune out the world but when you do you can find peace in God.
