Perfect
DEMITYTES 26
Kashara knew she was probably setting herself up for an angry Meet-the-Fallon session right now. But she knew time was of essence. She had to tell Fawier. She gingerly made herself down the narrow passageway to the dungeon, cloaked by her invisibility spell.
As she reached the dungeon door, she was surprised to find only one guard dozing off. Slightly puzzled, she continued on, to the cell that held Fawier. He was sleeping in the far corner of the cell, exhaustion and sort of weariness hung of him like a fog. Kashara gripped the bars... how could she get in?
Last time she had used dyiporting into the cell itself, but she could feel the layers of magic swirling around it now. Menacing and Aggressive, they spoke of Fallon. She decided to just call Fawier.
"Psstt, Hey.!" She called softly, rousing the old man from his uneasy slumber. Fawier, first opened his eyes a bit unfocused and then slowly he shook his head, wincing at the movement, then gazed straight at Kashara. Or rather through Kashara - all he had heard was a bit of phantom air beckoning him.
Kashara saw that Fawier was looking at her, and began hurriedly whispering, " Listen up old man! I know who is Lord Faun! And you're never going to believe who-"
"Kashara?" Fawier asked utterly flummoxed as to why a blob of air that sounded like Kashara was addressing him so boldly.
Kashara annoyed at being interrupted from such juicy information retorted, "No, it's your mum."
Fawier looked even more confused about that. "Mum? What are you doing here? I thought you were dead!?"
Kashara sighed and banged her head against the bar. Then she remembered she was invisible. She quickly gave furitive glances along the corridor and undid her spell. Fawier gasped when he saw her. "Kashara?! Did you find anything out? It's okay, I think my mum came back from the dead to spy on who Lord Faun was. She was just going to tell me." He paused then called out, "Mum! Where are you? Who's Faun? Tell us!"
Kashara didn't know if she wanted to smash his head or her head against the bar. "If the rebellion if full of brainless morons like you, it's no wonder that they are losing." She muttered under her breath.
"That wasn't your mother, that was me invisible." She finally said, stopping Fawier from waving his hands around trying to hug his incorporeal mother.
"Oh!" Fawier looked a bit let down but also embarrassed. " Prison does things to you..." He said sheepishly. "Anyway! Who is Lord Faun? Tell me the name of this traitor and I will ensure that the rebellion skewers his insides on his face! ". Fawier looked ready to combust. His eyes were threatening to pop out, and his face was flamed red and he looked ready to tear someone apart.
Kashara grimaced a bit at the grisly image but decided to finally spare Fawier the suspense.
"Well, I don't think you can really do that, considering he isn't actually a traitor-"
"WHAT!"
"-or in anyway going to allow anyone near his perfect face. There's also this teensy detail that he probably could snuff out the whole rebellion overnight if he wanted to. Not to mention he is the guy who burnt of your arm."
Fawier gaped increduously. "You mean...It's...."
"The one and only." A smooth and verrry familiar voice quipped dryly from behind Kashara. Kashara whirled around just to see the bane of her existence, Fallon Eagus appear out of nowhere.
She gulped. Shit. This was bad. VERY VERY bad. Behind her Fawier also seemed horrified and struck dumb. Fallon leisurely straightened up from the wall and gave an amused glance at Kashara.
"Thank you for that very nice introduction Kashara. I knew there was a reason I'm marrying you. Maybe I should put that on my visiting card? Snuffer of rebellions? Burner of arms? Oh wait! This is the best! The one with the perfect face." He smirked directly at her.
Kashara felt her face go up in flames. She was quickly coming to the conclusion that she should probably abandon these espionage activities to more stealthy people, like the one irritating guy who had followed her all this while without her knowledge.
She tried to glare at him but she couldn't really stare at his stupid smug smirking face without blushing! Why did she have to call his face perfect? He was never going to let it go. She realised the bigger issue here was probably the fact that Fallon had found her talking to a rebel after warning her off but yet she was somehow more embarrassed than frightened suddenly.
He began to walk towards her, and she grew wary and backed into the cell bars. "You've been very naughty Kashara. After I told you explicitly to stay away. I'll have to properly punish you this time."
He remarked casually.
Behind her, Fawier seemed to have recovered from the monumental shock of Lord Faun's identity and exclaimed wildly " YOU fiend! How dare you use the purity of the rebellion seal for your own purposes!"
Fallon merely gave him amused glance. "Of course! How could I try to bring down the organisation that was trying to depose and kill me! All I had to do was just step down and present them my neck! " He remarked sarcastically.
Fawier spluttered again, " You should have done what is best for the people! Your tyranny should end!"
Kashara didn't see end to this conversation but she felt that Fallon sort of had a point. Who in the world wouldn't try to bring down an organisation against them? And if she knew anything about Fallon, it was that he destroyed people with relish.
Really what DID the rebellion expect him to do? Not fight and just kill himself? Because they were definitely not in any position to do it.
While she had been having an Odysseys sized debate within herself, Fallon had moved to stand beside her and was staring down Fawier as he ranted in a half crazed manner. Perhaps the shock was too much for him, and he was a bit old too. Kashara thought as she listened to what he said.
"How could you!? Why did you impersonate me too?!!?" He asked irately. Personally Kashara thought demanding anything out of Fallon, especially answers was an exercise in futility, however maybe Fawier was too cooped up in the cell and just wanted some exercise anyway.
Curiously Fallon actually answered. "Come on, an elder and a scientist of the rebellion and you can't figure it out? Let me give you a clue. No one knows you were arrested."
Fawier gaped as the answer hit him. Kashara too gasped. " The rebel spies would think Fawier was not arrested...and try to contact him." She said.
"Almost correct, looks like I'll have to reduce your punishment for being such a quick study." He gave her a rougish smirk. " They won't contact him, because they won't find him again, but they'll contact the last person he was seen with..."
"ME?" Kashara squeaked.
"Yes. I'll be able to smoke out those infernal pests with my all new alien bait." He tilted his head and ran his eyes over her. "How useful you've already been Kashara, I wouldn't have been able to kill the one of the leaders without your help in the ball. And now you'll catch me some more of them."
"Why didn't you just lure them out disguised as Fawier? Why involve me?"
"Oh no, that wouldn't work." He exclaimed breezily. "Because, it turns out the rebels have this tattoo that actually reacts to the presence of the tattoo on the other person when two people touch. I can't fake it without this special spell needed that's really only known to two people in the Rebellion."
"So, if they touched you disguised as Fawier, they would know it was a set up."
"Definitely. The rebels have this really tacky handshake they do when they meet another rebel. I couldn't fool them for longer than the handshake and that isn't enough. They were already suspicious when Fawier went missing suddenly when he was arrested. Now he's reappeared but soon disappears. So they'll first go to the last person he saw, which is where you come in." He gave her the smile of the wolf and she realised why Fallon was being so vocal.
He needed her. " What makes you think I'll help? " She asked emboldened by this realisation.
Fallon's eyes tinted with some emotion and he moved closer and stared her down. "Because I'll make you." His eyes promised retribution if she said anything else and she wisely decided to opt of this argument.
"What do I have to do?" She sighed, and Fallon gave a cheshire smile of victory. "Not here," was all he said, and suddenly a brilliant white flame flared up around them. She could feel the heat swirling them as Fallon moved closer circled an arm around her waist. The feel of his fingers wrapped around her thoroughly distracted her as they travelled with the flames, a swirling whirling mesh of palpitations - in Kashara's case, and immovable granite that was Fallon.
The flames slowly died down, and revealed that they were in fact back in their antechamber. Kashara was having a few misgivings about agreeing to Fallon's wild plan, however she also needed to meet rebels - preferably those not shut up in prisons in questionable states of sanity. She had to escape, and imprisoned slightly crazed old men were probably not of much help.
Fallon's plan gave her the perfect oopurtunity to meet with the rebels, however she was a bit apprehensive about Fallon's hand in the meeting. If his control freak nature held true, she could probably not speak of anything to them that he didn't want her to say. He probably had a few dozen spells to guarantee that.
However before she could back out on her agreement, Fallon spoke. "You shouldn't have gone to visit him."
As she stood taken aback by this abrupt turn, he loomed nearer to her. She had to tilt her head to stare at him and she did so defiantly. " You've been so naughty haven't you? Would you like me to punish you?"
Kashara could feel her heartbeat rise, and fought to not blush. " What I would like, is for you to return me and my magic back home." She somehow managed to remark acidly. She had no idea why he was affecting her so much. His stupid sharp cheekbones just seemed to cut straight to her heart.
Fallon gave her the tiniest uplifting of his mouth and she had to nearly wrestle with her hands not to touch him. For the teensiest moment she felt like some horrible sexual predator. However the illusion was soon shattered when Fallon gave her a smouldering gaze that sizzled her already frazzled nerves.
"My, My, You certainly seemed to have grown a mouth. Shall I teach you to put it to a better use?" Fallon bent his head near hers and one of his hands came to rest on the wall behind her.
"No thanks. I don't take lessons from a megalomaniac nobody."
"Really? I do believe I am known as the snuffer of rebellions, burner of arms, ruler of an empire and of course the one with the perfect face." His voice seemed odd. Like soft...He was teasing her!
Kashara's mind was reeling from this realisation that Fallon even knew how to tease and joke. " Are you teasing me? " She asked increduously, her head tilted up to face Fallon.
"Hardly. You are the tease." He said and his lips closed the distance between them. She was in a tornado. Caught in the fierce winds and torn apart. Her head felt cold and hot at the same time, like someone piled coals and ice cubes on it. She could feel his heat. Warmth. It surrounded her.
Her mind sparked with electricity as she realised Fallon Eagus was kissing her. His lips were soft. Of course they are soft. Why would anyone's lips be like sandpaper? Kashara have you lost your mind. She thought to herself. It was like she lost all reason. It was as if her whole life to this point she had been waiting for this. Waiting for a single action from a single person light years away from her.
It was crazy yes, she realised. But she had no idea how much she needed this until she felt tiny pricks of tears forming around her lashes. Half of her mind raged at her. Raged that she was kissing her enemy, her kidnapper. She couldn't care.
She couldn't breathe, and he was oxygen.
He was perfect and she was complete.

Comment and vote pleasesesess.
Loki: well if that isn't the most cheesiest line ever. "She couldn't breathe and he was oxygen" What in the world does that mean? He's choking her? I mean if he's oxygen, she should be breathing right?
Tom: Oh shut up. Sometimes Literature shouldn't be taken literally. I think it's romantic.
Loki: Oh yes, Like you know anything about romance. Mr - conceived-under-a-love-potion.
Tom: More than you, Mr-abandoned-by-both-fathers. Even your own father didn't love you!
Loki: Like yours did?
Tom: Atleast I did go running after him to win his approval like a ninny.
Loki: And I suppose the visit to Riddle Manor was just a courtesy call?
Tom: It was. In a way. I was doing the world a courtesy ridding it of the pestilence.
Ink: Do I have to call back the Daddy issues support group dammit?!?!
Tom, Loki: ---------
