"Tell me again " General Klousseau turned to his trusted right hand man.
"When the last dawn shall here begin,
the wrongs of Ryk will be right again,
when a traitor's choice makes civil unrest bud,
and the rivers on red earth flow redder with civil blood,
When the earth is dead and labours to breathe,
the air is plagued and volcanoes seethe,
Hera's blood and Xeno's flesh let magic fall upon this accursed land,
Destruction thwarted under the dragon's command. "
Adanite replied.
General Klousseau leant back, in deep thought. "Am I a traitor Adanite?" He asked slowly. The fire in the room cast a dim flickering light on his face.
Adanite spoke quickly, " No! Never."
"I thought I was helping the people. How could I support what the King wanted to do? I was only...Only trying to...Never mind. It is too late and the day is too young and so are you, too be listening to an old man's grousing."
"Did you think it was about her?" Adanite asked.
"Who..?" General Klousseau murmured disrupted from his musings.
"The girl. The Erthling. Kashara. "
"Hmm... I can't be sure. But, that phrase, Xeno's flesh. If there was anything that would refer to her from the prophecy, I would probably say it was that line than anything else." General Klousseau said slowly.
"That was vague to the vaguest degree. Is that why you wanted to meet her? To see? If it was about her?"
"Yes. And can I not see the soon to be Queen of this planet? She can't certainly come down here for evening tea once she's Queen. Also, I'm sure Fallon has found out all about her kidnapping now. He needs to learn that I'm not fighting not because I can't, but because I don't want to, yet." General Klousseau said.
"He found out! How? We made sure to leave no trace. " Adanite asked sharply.
"No, you left quite a big one. The kidnappee actually. Quite a pity that girl. Brainy and Brave." General Klousseau began to talk to himself forgetting he had an audience.
"She told him?! That gi-" Adanite swore, and then paused for a second, then quickly turned to General Klousseau "You knew this would happen, before she was even brought here. If you had just seen fit to share your information with me, I wouldn't have wasted my last portal box trying to inconspicuously get her here."
"It is not my fault if you do not seek out Rambire regarding information our spy has collected." General Klousseau said sharply.
"I cannot stand that man. He is insufferable."
"The greatest lesson life teaches you is humility. If you can't learn it, at least, maybe you can do that man a courtesy of teaching it to him." General Klousseau smirked.
"You sneaky old bat. This is why encourage me to meet with him. You can't stand him too! You are too lazy to put him down and you want me to do your dirty work don't you?" Adanite asked annoyed yet amused.
"Guilty as charged." General Klousseau smiled.
Suddenly Adanite tensed as if remembering something. "What did you mean?" His tone was striking and serious now, no joke in them. "What did you mean when you said 'Quite a pity that girl.' Why is it a pity? Klousseau, I am not in the mood for your jokes." He asked.
General Klousseau maintained silence.
Tell me, WHY YOU SAID IT!" Adanite demanded sharply, his voice cutting through the air like a whip.
General Klousseau looked as if he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. " I...Never mind, it's just a, wild guess."
"Bullshit. You wouldn't say something like that without being sure, so out with it now." Adanite said harshly.
General Klousseau still looked reluctant but finally heaved a sigh and leaned back onto his great chair. "What do you think, the line ' Xeno's flesh let magic fall upon this accursed land' mean?"
" Magic from whoever Xeno refer's to."
"Magic is something firmly bonded to the essence of a person isn't it? What can it mean when it says 'let magic fall' ?" General Klousseau prompted Adanite, his gaze hinted to knowing the answers.
"Magic can't be removed from someone by common means... Magic doesn't normally separate from someone naturally does it?" Adanite asked, as if asking himself.
"No. Magic is intricately bonded to the life essence of a person. If it is removed......Are you familiar with ways to extract magic from someone?" General Klousseau asked.
"Not much, only that it is very advanced, ancient magic. Painful, and damaging." Adanite said shortly.
"You are right. There are not many ways to extract someone's magic without completely erasing the magic and keeping in a usable form, and all of them are dangerous for that person. The most common way is to slowly feed a person a certain potion that severs the link between the drinker and his magic. This magic is however weak and its power greatly diminishes. People say it's because the magic grieves the loss of the holder."
"That would make it useless if someone wanted the magic to be used, wouldn't it? But what does the phrase 'Hera's blood' mean before that? Does it not have a meaning with reference to Xeno's Magic?" Adanite queried curiously.
"Hera's blood... I don't think ... my guess is that it refers to the dead Queen, her highness. Your guess is as good as mine. When it comes to these prophecies, most things are vague and can't be taken literally. "
"So, if someone wanted to take magic from whoever Xeno is, they have to ensure that this magic was powerful enough to do what they wanted...Is there a way to extract magic from someone without damaging it's power?" Adanite asked.
"Yes and it's very complicated and hard. It involves forming a barrier around the person and separating his Magic from him. What happens is the magic forgets it's holder after a long period of time. Slowly, little by little, the barrier is lowered so that the magic rejoins the persons. It's often painful and extremely damaging to the person's core. Slowly but certainly, the magic slowly erodes the person from inside. By the time the last bit of magic is rejoined with the person, the person is already sealed to a grim fate. Magic this way is often violent and raging, it has been uncontrolled for a long time, and after destroying its former holder. Its power is multiplied largely by it's intense rage and fury. The best for powerful spells and rituals."
"The girl...Is that why you wanted to see her? You suspected this?"
"It is sad thing to see someone defend their own murderer so wholeheartedly, strongly, courageously."
"What are you saying...that Fallon is trying to murder her?"
"Oh no. Fallon isn't trying. He has already succeeded. I could feel the stench of death on her. The barrier was pulsing sickeningly, stinking of Fallon's work. Her magic was deadly, whirling vortex of power. Pulsing. Like quicksand. Determined to suck in all who linger too long. It's like the great philosopher Nietzchse said. Stare to long at the abyss, it will stare back at you." General Klousseau gave shudder.
"I could feel it watching me. It was terrifying. Magic is power at it's purest form. Like a black hole that consumes all. It has an unending appetite. It nearly sucked me in." General Klousseau subsided back into his chair, taking deep breaths. His eyes had taken on a haunted look as he tried to forget what had happened.
Adanite too seemed to be affected and he slowly released a breath he hadn't realised he had been holding.
"And, she...is so ignorant, so foolish to trust the guy who kidnapped her?"
"No. Definitely not. I don't think she trusts him as far as she can throw him. However, love is not bound by reason or logic."
"Love...?! What?!..."
"Were you interested in her Adanite? To be so afflicted by her fate?"
Adanite merely exhaled loudly and wearily, "Are you certain she will die?"
"There is nothing more certain in this world than the death of those who live."

Tom: Haha nice one Klousseau. Joke's on you. There is something called immortality.
Loki: Errr you mean dissecting your soul and putting them in different, really fragile, vulnerable containers so that they don't die altogether, but in the end they get taken down one by one by a teenage boy, a wizard version of big brother, and the world most tragic sub-sub plot love story hero?
Tom:...
Loki: That's not immortal, that's just delaying the inevitable. Face the ugly truth, Tom Riddle.
Tom: You know what else is an ugly truth? Your face.
Loki: Well, it won't change even after a millennium. Which is more than what I can say for your face. One rebirth potion and its like the underworld threw in a free identity protection package for you. You give a whole new meaning to the word snake-charmer...After all a face like that could only charm snakes.
Tom: Well, I suppose you have true immortality? Last I checked, half of the Norse gods dined in Valhalla.
Loki: The apple of Idunn is a sacred fruit that grants immortality to all those taste it.
Tom: Well...What happened then, to your brother Balder? Did he accidentally eat an orange instead?
Loki: Fate and Time are beyond the control of even the AllFather.
Tom: Admit it. You immortality is just an illusion too.
Loki: Might be...but at least I get to keep my face.
Tom; Hey! I solved that issue after that. Look! This is not that snake face. Are you blind...Turns out , that stupid wormtail made a blunder with that potion that day. He's so lucky to be dead....
Tom: bye...I guess.

Hey guys. No, you are not dreaming. This was an update. Was it juicy or not? Btw speaking of juicy, While I was researching apples of Idunn, i noticed it sounds very similar to apple of eden. Coincidence? Think about it....
