Random Rant #1~ Elastic Heart

Okay, so recently I watched the music video for Sia's new hit, Elastic Heart, and yesterday I watched the Fine Brother's Teens React to it.

Personally I found the video to be very conceptual and it emphasized a lot of meaning to me. I scrolled through the comments of the video, and I was absolutely outraged.
"This is obviously just some pedophilia s*** and Shia Leboeuf was just thrown in to make more money off views. You people call this art? What the hell's wrong with you? This isn't art; this is a tragedy in our downgrading society, and this video ,yet be frowned upon because I say so! And my opinion is the only one that matters, so do as I say, you motherf*****s!"

How can you not call it art? Art is supposed to make you think and come to a conclusion of its purpose. That's exactly what this is doing. Why are some people just stupid enough to not realize that art was created to be judged? But just because we're allowed this freedom when it comes to something's meanings, doesn't mean our thoughts are correct as a whole.

Also, to those jackasses who stated that it was just pedophilic nonsense, go get a life. Just the fact that you can't get past a 28 year-old man and a 12 year-old girl dancing together proves that you're an immature brat. True art can at first be disturbing and encourage you to negatively judge it, but you still need to try to look past that and give it an actual chance.
To those who still are unclear with what I'm saying, think of it like this:

You've been working on a realism sketch for a week. Everyday for that seven-day span, you've rushed home from school so you could slave away at your homework, but have a sufficient amount of time to work and master your drawing into a final piece. Once you finish, you scurry over to your parents, bubbling with self-confidence and pride. They smile almost hesitantly (not enough for you to notice), and they praise you. The next morning, you stuff the drawing into the front cover of your binder, and hop along to school. As you enter the campus, you walk with a swagger and confidence that makes you appear to think you own the school. People don't really ask about your drawing, but you show your friends anyway. In the middle of homeroom, when everyone's completing the class assignment, the nearest student to you looks at your binder and says, "EWW! What is that? Did you buy that off a homeless person in pity so they could buy a Happy Meal?" The class begins to laugh and point at you in mockery. Your cheeks blaze a fiery red in embarrassment, and you feel your throat begin to burn as your vision becomes blurred with tears.

My point of that little fake excerpt was to prove how biased and oblivious today's communities and societies (hell, just today's people in general!) are when it comes to finding something's meaning. We seem to easily forget the saying, "you can't judge a book by its cover." As a popular WattPadder by the name of Parogar stated in a rant/hate book, people say things that please society most, but never actually live up to those kind, truthful expectations. His example was the dishonesty of attraction. You know, how people say they'd totally go for a person, even if they weren't the hottest guy or girl in school. But in reality, if they were asked out by their 'excuse', they'd make an excuse for their excuse and reject how they perceive themselves, or at least how they want to. It's excuse inception!

Back onto the topic at hand: my gist of this rant is just to clear my chest on the frustrating blindness of the world's community. Granted, there is a lot of people out there who aren't like this at all, but the negatives outweigh those positives by a landslide.
If you haven't watched the video, please do. Also, search the Teens React to it- it's very entertaining and gets the opinion of some fellow teens.
