HERBERT “DARING” DASHWOOD: (V.O.) You’re listening to the Adventures of me, Herbert “Daring” Dashwood, and my stalwart ghoul manservant, Argyle. Today’s episode? “What's Going On?”.

SCENE: INTERIOR.

CASSANDRA: (ANNOYED) Well, this is a fine thing, Mr. Dashwood! It was noble of you to try to rescue me, but now we're both locked in a cage, with radio-controlled, exploding collars around our necks.

HERBERT "DARING" DASHWOOD: What would you have preferred me to do? Would you rather I had left you to your fate?

CASSANDRA: No, I suppose not. Although . . . (THOUGHTFUL) They were planning to send me so far west that I'd have been walking for more than two months. In all that time, I'm sure there'd have been an opportunity to escape, Mr. Dashwood.

HERBERT "DARING" DASHWOOD: (SIGHS) You used to call me "Daring".

CASSANDRA: I'm sorry? I used to do what?

HERBERT "DARING" DASHWOOD: You used to call me "Daring", back in the days before Rockopolis. Back when you were still going by "Penelope".You can drop the charade, you know - Will isn't here. You and I are the only ones in this cage, and I already know who you are.

CASSANDRA: (OBVIOUSLY FRUSTRATED) I don't know why I have to keep explaining this to you. I'm not Penelope. Penelope was my sister. How can you honestly believe that she and I are the same person?

HERBERT "DARING" DASHWOOD: If you aren't Penelope, how do you know how she - you - allegedly died?

CASSANDRA: You and Argyle and Will were discussing it! Right in front of me, when we were first introduced!

HERBERT "DARING" DASHWOOD: What do you mean?

SOUND EFFECT: MUSICAL “START FLASHBACK” CUE

ARGYLE: (SHOCKED) Boss! Are you seeing what I’m seeing?

HERBERT “DARING” DASHWOOD: Penelope?! Penelope Chase? But I saw you die, with my own eyes!

ARGYLE: After what she did to Rockopolis, she deserves to die. Shooting’s too good for her. I’d be happy to try the Eagle Claw again, though - just say the word, boss.

WILBERFORCE DASHWOOD: The Eagle Claw? Herbert, you aren’t going to let him try that, are you?

SOUND EFFECT: MUSICAL “END FLASHBACK” CUE

HERBERT "DARING" DASHWOOD: (CHAGRINED) I see. So you really - you really aren't Penelope?

CASSANDRA: I solemnly swear that I really, truly, am not Penelope. I sort of wish I were, though - then maybe I'd understand what's going on!

HERBERT "DARING" DASHWOOD: You mean with the slavers?

CASSANDRA: No, I mean with you. You tell me that you watched my sister betray you and a whole city to the slavers. You tell me that Argyle, your best friend, actually had to kill my sister in order to save both your lives. You tell me that you honestly thought I was the evil Penelope Chase. Despite all that, you put yourself in all sorts of danger to rescue me. What's going on, Mr. Dashwood?
