I was looking at myself in the mirror checking out if the black V-shaped neckline dress with light blue ribbon tied on the waist of its balloon styled skirt looks good on me when the doorbell rang, I thought, "who would it be? Scott didn't say anything about picking me up." I grabbed my purse and opened the door. Eric was standing outside wearing a royal blue long sleeved shirt and black pants and coat. I gave him a questioning look and he said before I could even ask, "The boss told me to go pick you up." I smiled, went out and closed the door.

Meanwhile, You went to dinner wearing a light blue long sleeved shirt, dark blue and yellow stripped tie and black pants and your coat on your arm. Kelsey called you out the moment she saw you enter the terrace. You waved back and joined them on the table. You were introduced to Lyndon, Daphne, Jerry and Sherry who were sitting with her on the same table. You sat in between Kelsey and Daphne and made conversations with them.

As Eric and I entered the Grand River Terrace. I stopped after we entered the door and looked around. I was looking for you, checking the decorations and admiring how nice the place is with colorful flowers on the center of each table and the white cloth covering the stand table with brown ribbons nicely coordinated with the brown table linings and white napkins on the ditablenner tables. I pulled Eric closer and I murmured, "whoever chose this decorations is really good at it." Eric laughed and said, "Carrying your own chair, are you? Let's see what the boss thinks." I laughed back. Kelsey saw us as we entered, she elbowed you on the arm and said, "There she is." You looked at where she was pointing at, you saw me holding Eric's arm and your forehead automatically formed lines on it. "Who is that guy with her?" Kelsey replied, "That's Eric, they work together. He is attending the seminar with their other VP Stan." She noticed that you are watching them closely so she continued, "They looked good together right? But they are not a couple, I heard he has a girlfriend from another State and Charice is also taken. They are just pretty close so they go together on most occasions." You winked at her and said, "I think I know that." She smiled back as if she understood what you meant.

Eric guided me to the table where Willie and his wife Rebecca, Stan and Tanya, the Banquet Manager was sitting. I thought, so that's why Willie asked Eric to pick me up... they are all in pairs. I caught a glimpse over the next table beside our table and there you were sitting with the organizers. You seem to be engrossed with your conversation with them. I was quite surprised but turned my look over to Rebecca and said a little loud for you to hear and noticed me, "I didn't know you're going to be here." Everyone on our table stood up and we greeted each other. I saw you looked and said something to Kelsey. Rebecca said, "You two looked nice, if I didn't know you, I would think you're a couple." Eric and I gave each other a long look and said at the same time, "no way!" and everyone laughed. Willie said "why don't we start dinner" and everyone agreed. Tanya went to instruct the head waiter to open up the buffet table and the rest of the waiters started pouring out wine on every ones glass. Willie held Rebecca's hand and started to go around the tables, Eric and I walked with them. Before we reached your table everyone including you stood up. I made the introductions. "Everyone, Am sure you know the ABIA's President and this is the President's wife, Ms. Rebecca. This is Daphne, ABIA's Secretariat Head and the rest of the organizers, Lyndon, Jerry, and Kelsey. My eyes lit up when I said, "and Mr. Scott Logan, one of our attendee from the Insurance side." She shook everyone's hand. Then you said, "It is a pleasure meeting you." She knodded, smiled and said, "Pleasure meeting you too." Willie said, "Let's all have dinner and drinks." Rebecca joked. "I'm sure you're all ready to have your wine dear." He replied, "you bet!" and we all laughed.

Kelsey stopped me from walking and held my arm and murmured, "I hope you don't mind if I invited Scott on our table." I smiled and said, "I'm glad you did." I looked at you smiling and said, "you are in good hands am sure you'll enjoy this people's company, 'cause I sure did." You smiled back and and said "Sure am!" We all headed to the buffet table. On the line at the buffet table I was behind Eric and you are behind me, as I took a little of salad, fish fillet and shrimp casserole you asked, "Is that all you are going to eat?" Eric overheard and said, "She's really like that, eats like a little mice." I gave Eric the look but he didn't stop. "At least that's better, if its somewhere else she'll order too much and have me eat the leftovers" and laughed. You murmured, " I wouldn't mind eating your leftovers" and you smiled. I just smiled back and my face turned a little red.

The dinner was superb and everyone was enjoying the wine. Bryce, the manager went around saying, let's liven this party up and the waiters started going around offering the guys either a shot of hard liquors or a bottle of beer. Then the waiters brought out frozen margarita's for the ladies. With soft nice music, everyone was enjoying while drinking and making conversations. I was standing beside a stand table when Rebecca came to talk to me and said. "This is a nice dinner, I hope no one gets drunk thou." I laughed . We continued talking about the event, she expressed how much she liked the place and the food and all the resort staff were friendly and that the organizers has done a great deal of a job. I felt proud. We were too busy talking when Willie grabbed her on the waist and guided her to the middle of the room to dance, everyone clapped. He called Eric and Stan out, Eric obliged and looked for me amongst the crowd when I saw that he saw me, I turned around took a zip on my drink and pretended to leave. He approached me and held my hand and said, "you are not going anywhere". I laughed and just followed his lead. You were watching closely, Stan came to the dance floor with Tanya. When Kelsey saw that Lydon and Daphne was on their way. She grabbed your arm leaving you no chance to say no. Everyone started to join and danced thru a couple of songs. When I noticed that almost everyone is dancing I asked Eric if we could sit down. So we did. We started talking about how successful the event is how it seems that everyone is enjoying it. We did not noticed that you and Kelsey went back to your table. Then we saw you went to the beverage area and Kelsey was left alone on her sit. Eric asked, " That's Kelsey right?! " I knodded. He excused himself and said, " I will invite her to dance," I said "Ok, go!" and smiled. I busied myself with my phone.

You came to me and offered me a glass of water, "Got tired?" you asked. "Not really but I'd rather sit for a while." "Congratulations, it has been a nice dinner and party." "yah, well there's 2 more days to go." I said a little worried but smiled. " I'm sure everything will be great since you prepared it." You said smiling. I smiled back. You continued, "So what's for tomorrow?" I replied, "There's a fun run for a cause at 7; we're giving out prizes for the best 3; breakfast at 9 and the talks starts at 10. Lunch will be served at noon then talks will resume by 1pm until 5pm and Hawaiian dinner by 7 at the pool area, come in your shorts and casual polo shirt and the swimming pool is open for everyone after dinner." I noticed you were staring, I asked, "why are you staring?" Your face went red and said, "I'm not, was just listening intently and I'm surprised you remembered all the details." Then I turned red, I took a sip of water and looked away. "But I'm glad you are at ease talking to me and sitting with me by now." Before I could say anything Eric and Kelsey came towards us. Kelsey pulled you up and said, "What are you doing just sitting there? ask her to dance! "You looked at me offered your hand before I can say any thing, Eric held onto my shoulder and gave me a little push. The four of us went to the middle of the room where everyone is dancing. You slowly put your hand on my waist and I put both my hands on your shoulders. I felt a little awkward yet I felt little jitters down my spine when you touched me so I looked around so not to catch your eyes. I was feeling nervous at that instant. You noticed so you said, "just close your eyes, don't think of the people around you." I looked at you, you continued saying "try it, you will feel relaxed." So I did, I can still hear your voice murmuring to me, "think of the way of how you would dance with me if we are alone." I felt you pulling me closer with your left arm and my right arm automatically slid to the back of your neck and you held my left hand with your other hand and put them on your chest. Then I felt your cheek on the side of my forehead. Swaying to the music with your arms around me felt good. For a few minutes I let myself to just go with it... serenity filled me, I was calm. You closed your eyes as well and you felt the warmth of my skin, you seemed to hear both our heart beats now beating as one, you can smell my scent you thought must be Tova and you smiled. It seems like we were lost in the middle of everything and we savored that wonderful feeling , our bodies seemed to have found its own rhythm with the same harmony as the song. I can feel you breathing on my ear. We stayed that way for another song without us noticing the song had change until the music ended and there were the sound of clapping. We both snapped back to reality.

I opened my eyes and clapped. I felt your arm still around my waist. I looked at you, you winked and guided me back to the table where Kelsey and Eric was seated. Around 11 Daphne announced that the party will end by midnight so everyone will have a good sleep and ready for the fun run at 7. She called out the waiters to give everyone one last round of drinks then asked Willie to give a little speech. After the speech, people started drifting off. The boss called the organizers for a toast, so we all grabbed a glass and listened. He said, " Here's to a successful fun run for the less fortunate tomorrow and a great weather too. Cheers!" Everyone replied "cheers!" glasses clinking and we all drank our last drink for the night.

Willie came to me and said goodnight. Rebecca and I said our goodbyes while Willie shook your hand and said, "we will see you tomorrow then." You shook his hand back and said, "I will be here for the rest of the conference Sir." He tap your shoulder and gave me the look and left. I was confused but did not say anything. Eric put his arms around my shoulder and asked, "Is it okay if I walk Kelsey to her room?" I joked, "do I look like your mother? Go! You're a big boy now!" we both laughed. He shook your hand and said, "She's all yours, be careful she might look soft but she can be a tiger." And he made a roar sound. You both laughed and then he left with Kelsey after she and I said our goodbyes. She walked holding on to Eric's arms with Stan and Tanya walking ahead of them. I looked at you and said, "It looks like those four are going somewhere else." You replied, "Seems like it, so can I walk you to your room then, obviously I got dumped?!" I laughed and said, "we both got dumped". You offered your arm and I held onto it and we walk in silence to my room. Before we reached my room you saw me trying to prevent a smile. You asked, "what are you smiling about?" I replied, "I was just thinking am so glad I wore a 3 inch heels or I wouldn't be able to reach your shoulder." You said, "Well I don't really think height matters, I could have carried you I don't care." We both laughed. I took the key card from my purse and you opened the door for me and I said, "You want to come in for some tea, that's all I can offer since we need to wake up early tomorrow." You nodded and smiled. I entered the room, "Come in, make yourself comfortable." You followed me in and sat on the couch and said "you know I wouldn't pass any chance I can spend with you," I didn't say anything, I brought the tea and place it to coffee table in front of the couch. I said, "Sorry about tonight, I don't know how to introduce you." You held my hand and said, "It's okay I know it would be awkward, I was feeling the same thing when I was telling the group about you and I over dinner, but they all seem to understand. Besides you are here to work and I am here to attend the conference, so we'll have to do with whatever time we can get with each other." I smiled and said, "It was nice to have you around." You looked into my eyes and moved your head closer to mine and our lips touched into soft sweet kisses. Your arms went around me and we shared long lingering loving kisses... then the phone rang. We both stood up in shock. The phone rang again, I cleared my throat sat back on the couch and answered the phone. It was from the front desk asking if I need a wake up call so I said yes at 5am and put down the phone. You were drinking your tea when I said, "that was the front desk asking for my wake up call time." You looked at your watch and said, "Well I better head back then so I can call them to wake me up too." You said smiling. I walked you to the door before I can open it up you hugged me and kissed me one more time and said, "goodnight babe!" I smiled and said "goodnight."
