As suggested by stringslady this will be a short one with suggestions on how to choose a good font, and at the end a whole bunch of fonts that I use. :)

So... choosing a font...

First of all, where I get all of my fonts is on dafont.com. They have like billions of fonts, and I can assure you you will find at least one that will fit your cover.

When you pick a font, it should sort of "feel right", if you know what I mean? Try a few, and don't necessarily choose the first one you see, (unless you really like it, and it definitely fits). And dafont has a bunch of helpful categories you can click on and narrow it down a bit. It should also fit the genre of the story. For example, it might not look the best if you used the font 'hanging letters' for a horror story. 😉 but, I mean it's up to you (obviously ;))

The other problem I've encountered before is trying to get the text to stand out on the cover. One thing I usually do, is in phonto, I turn up the shadow on it as much as I need. You can blur the shadow, move the shadow, and change the opacity of the shadow (oh, and change the color of the shadow 😉)

The other thing I've done before, although I do this sparingly, is blur the part of the cover that I'm going to out the text on. I did this technique in the premade 'Masked' except I think I only did it when I put the mask on, because it wasn't standing out very well.

Now! To the fonts:

And, these fonts look much better than the picture shows ;)

Hope this was somewhat helpful! I would encourage you to check out dafont 's options! :)
