The following day, Wei Ying was a bit quiet but he was also very focused. Baoshan already had Wangji, Wei Ying, and Lan Xichen working on new sword drills. Lan Wangji was a bit distracted by Wei Ying's sudden silence. It worried him. Wei Ying was usually loud and playful but right now he is quiet. He seemed too into his training too, like he was ignoring the rest of the world. Wangji hated seeing Wei Ying this way. He began to wonder of going back in time was a good idea.

"Wangji, are you alright?" Xichen asked his brother. Wei Ying looked at Wangji as he heard Xichen. Wei Ying was wondering why Xichen was asking Wangji such a question.

"I am alright, Huan-Ge," Wangji replied, "just a lot on my mind."

"You and A'Ying seem so distracted today, are you both going through a disagreement over something?" Xichen asked.

"No," Wangji answered, "Wei Ying and I are both fine."

"So why are you looking at Wei Ying like he's a wounded puppy?" Xichen asked, "A'Ying, is everything alright with you?"

"Just some things on my mind, but training is helping me forget about that right now. I'm just focused on what Wai Po wants us to do," Wei Ying answered.

"Okay," Xichen said. He was not entirely convinced that the two were okay it if he poked further, it might actually just upset them more. So he let it go for now.

"Wangji," Baoshan called out, "can I speak with you please?"

"Mnn," Wangji nodded and followed Baoshan inside and to her personal office.

"My office here has a silence charm on the wall so everything we say will be kept between us," Baoshan said as she sat down at her desk.

Wangji sat down on the opposite side of her desk, "What did you wish to speak with me about?" He asked.

"I noticed that you were a bit distracted," Baoshan said, "I know Wei Ying is as well so I will talk to him soon too. I just thought I'd talk to you first."

"He and I talked," Wangji said, "he isn't telling us everything but he told me that he has a sense of Deja Vu and he is confused by it."

"Did he say what it was about?" Baoshan asked.

"He felt that he used resentful energy before and even thought that a war with Wen Ruohan sounded familiar," Wangji answered, "he told me to not worry about it and that he just let it go. I know it's just his way of saying that he doesn't want to talk."

"He is starting to feel a sense of familiarity," Baoshan said.

"Did I do the right thing?" Wangji asked, "should I have just gone back to having him as he was before the whole incident happened with him being brought from a past timeline? Or is this the better option and letting this all play out again? I fear it will have similar consequences."

"Wangji, the world is always changing," Baoshan explained, "fates change. With A'Ying growing up in your family's sect, he grew up being more loved and cared for. He didn't have to put up with Madam Yu's abuse and having to be a shield for her children. Wei Ying won't lose his golden core this time because he doesn't know Jiang Wanyin. If they meet in the future, they won't have the same relationship they used to have in that past timeline. So going back in time was actually a good thing. He may be starting to remember some things but it is inevitable. He may even remember everything eventually, but we can't say for certain. What we can do is continue to be there for him and guide him in the right direction. You and him are now courting so use this time to get close. It will be a big help in the future."

"I understand," Wangji said, "will he really be okay?"

"He will," Baoshan said, "he just needs his confidence back. He seems as if he is lacking in it."

"Then I will help you to help him gain his confidence back," Wangji said.

"Good," Baoshan said, "now, you can go back out to continue training...did you want to send A'Ying in for me?"

"Alright," Wangji said and left Baoshan's office and went back outside. He then went to the training field, "A'Ying, Wai Po wishes to speak with you in her office."

"Okay," Wei Ying said and went to go speak with her.

"What did she talk to you about?" Xichen asked once Wei Ying left.

"Wei Ying is starting to remember his past life. He just doesn't know it just yet but he feels like he is experiencing Deja Vu. Wai Po just wants to talk to him about it," Wangji said.

"How do you know this?" Xichen asked.

"Wei Ying told me last night," Wangji replied, "he's starting to get confused and his confidence is lacking recently. I need your help on getting that back."

"You know when it comes to you and him I will do anything to help you," Xichen said, "and whatever he remembers, you and I will be here to help him through it. As we know it all too."

"Do you think I did the right thing?" I asked, "going back in time to fix all this?"

"I think so," Xichen answered, "I'm already seeing changes and they are actually fairly good changes. Wei Ying isn't suffering under the Jiang's care anymore. He is safe and healthy. He grew up around you so he looks to you a lot. I think you made the right choice."

I nodded, "alright," I said and pulled Bichen out of its sheathe, "I suppose I should get back to training."

"Yes, you should," Xichen said, "these new drills Baoshan has us doing are not easy."

"No but they are worth learning," I said, "everything we learn here will be worth it."

"I know," Xichen said, "and I look forward to it."
