Chapter 19

~Y/N POV~

As I pull up the black strap of my silk tight dress, I admire my curves in the mirror. I completely stare at myself, butterflies in my stomach due my nerves yet excitement of actually going on a date with Jungkook.

I have no idea what this man plans, but he told me to dress as elegant as I can. So I picked the black silk dress with the split on the right side, that I've had tucked into my closet for special occasions. I've never worn it before. I guess tonight gives me a chance to.

My hair is lightly curled around my shoulders and I have natural light make up on. I didn't want to look too much but just right.

I'm not wearing heels though.

I can't even stand in them never mind walk in them. I've opted to my black leather knee hight boots.

If you ask me I think I look good.

Lightly touching up some lip gloss, I can hear the front door knock. I ignore it at first thinking Jungkook is going to answer but the knocking continues a few more times. Each time louder than the last.

I stick my head out my bedroom door and shout on Jungkook.

"Hey! Can you answer that?"

Looking up and down the corridor I don't see any movement or hear him wondering around like I usually do. I sigh shaking my head, pick up my small shoulder bag and head to the front door to answer.

Swinging the door open, I'm surprised to see who's been knocking.

"Hello, beautiful."

I'm taken back by his deep voice accompanied by his smirk. I froze, taking in his body, leaning against the door frame like the time he asked me out on a date. This time he's wearing a black suit, down from his jacket to his shoes, he's only wearing black. Even his watch his black. His hair slicked back off his face and piercings on his lip and eyebrow.

Fuck.

He chuckles at my frozen state, stands straight off the door frame and brings something to the front from his back.

"These are for you." Jungkook

Again he holds a bouquet of white rose.

I don't know if he knows but they represent new beginnings.

I'm feeling a whole bucket of feelings right now.

Slowly but surely I take the flowers and smell them. I love the smell of flowers.

Jungkook just stands there, watching me smell the flowers before he looks me up and down for the first time and clicks his tongue and wipes his bottom lip with his thumb.

"You look good. I mean...." Jungkook

He gestures to my body when I place the flowers on the sofa beside the door so I can put them into water later.

"I don't know what else to say." Jungkook

As quickly as he checked me out, I see blush on his cheeks as he rubs the back of his neck.

"Thank you."

Is all I say, grabbing the keys and step out into the corridor with him and locking the door. Jungkook stepping to the side and watching my every move.

Sometimes I would love to know what he's thinking.

"Shall we go?"

Snapped out of it, he nods and grabs my hand to lead the way. I'm shocked he took my hand, but I don't argue about it. I just let him lead the way.

"I love the boots by the way." Jungkook

He whispered in my ear when we left the building and he nor I, said anything else until we got to our destination.

It appears Jungkook brought me to this fancy restaurant. The waiting staff dressed in tuxes, chandelier on the ceiling and a combination navy blue and forest green painted walls. The candles on the single round tables gave a calming atmosphere. This place looks so posh, I'm scared to touch anything.

When we arrived, a man waiter took one look at Jungkook, grinned, bowed his head, grabbed two menus and took us through the restaurant all the way to the back and showed us a little round table. The man quickly left and Jungkook pulled out my chair, gesturing to sit. And I did.

Jungkook sat across from me, pulling in his seat and cleared his throat before running his fingers through his gelled hair.

"This place is fancy."

His eyes grew a little, seemingly surprised.

"You think so?" Jungkook

"I mean yeah."

I point to the chandelier above us and he looks up before realising and lets out a soft laugh.

"I see what you mean." Jungkook

The waiter came back with large glass bottle and four fancy white glasses. So clear and clean I can see my reflection in them.

"Would you like your usual Mr Jeon?" Waiter

Jungkook shakes his head, but stares directly at me.

"No. We'll have whatever she wants." Jungkook

I tense up. I haven't even looked at the menu yet.

"I er....I haven't looked yet."

I tell Jungkook and then look up at the waiter. The waiter nods and smiles.

"That's perfectly fine. I'll give you some time." Waiter

Then he leaves again.

I look back at Jungkook and he's still staring back at me, leaning comfortably back in his chair. He seems comfortable here.

I look down at the menu and my jaw drops at the prices. For one bottle of wine between us I'm paying for at least half my rent of the apartment and that's the cheapest. Never mind the food.

"Jungkook, this place is way too expensive."

Again I look at him, concerned and he doesn't move. Still remaining calm but shrugs his shoulders.

"Is it?" Jungkook

"Yeah. We can go somewhere else."

Jungkook furrows his brows and leans over the table, both hands flat on the surface of the table.

"Y/n, please don't worry about this. I'm paying. It won't break my bank, I promise." Jungkook

He whispers softly across the table so others around us don't hear. I stare at him. But he seems so confidant that this place won't be too much for him. I mean, I expected to pay my half but i can tell he's giving me those eyes asking not to argue with this. And since this is our first date, I'll let him off with it. For a price.

"Promise me one thing first."

I whisper to him, also leaning across the table.

"Anything." Jungkook

"That our next date be at the beach."

His lip twitched before forming his famous smirk.

"Deal. I can promise that." Jungkook

With that we both sat back in our chairs, and I looked at the menu. Jungkook didn't even look at his. I could feel his eyes on me the whole time and frankly, I'm getting use to that. I like that I can feel his eyes on me.

The waiter came back and I gave him an order of both drinks and food, with Jungkook declaring he will have whatever I have. The waiter took the menus and left Jungkook and I alone again.

"You come here a lot don't you?"

"What makes you say that?" Jungkook

"For starters, the waiter took one look at you and gave you a table."

He nods nonchalantly, acknowledging the truth in that.

"I suppose I do." Jungkook

"With girls?"

His eyes darkened, he sighs and stares deeply into my soul.

"I've never brought anyone here before. I come alone. Sometimes after work. Sometimes on the weekends." Jungkook

A sudden urge told me to look behind me, so I do. And I find some waiting staff beside the bar, whispering to one another while staring in our direction. Only do they walk off from one another when they notice me staring at them.

I turn back to Jungkook and he's giving me this 'I told you so' kind of expression. And I roll my eyes back at him.

"Don't do that." Jungkook

He told me, knowing pouring some water into my glass and then his.

"Don't do what?"

"Roll your eyes." Jungkook

He told me calmly without even a look up from the glass his filling up with water.

"Why not?"

Softly he places the bottle down and graves his eyes up my upper body before resting on my face.

"Because it will get you in trouble." Jungkook

Now that shut me up. Stunned me into silence. I'm not usually the silence type on dates. I like to ask questions. But Jungkook is something different.

The waiter came and went after giving us a bottle of expensive ass wine. He tried to pour it for us but Jungkook shooed him away and poured the wine of the two of us. I got half the glass of wine down my throat before gaining enough courage to ask him something.

"Am I your first date?"

With his glass in his hand, he smells it before responding.

"Yes. I've never had a date before." Jungkook

"Why?"

I give him a moment to sip on his wine and place it back on the table.

"Because I've never found someone that could be more to me." Jungkook

I try to hide my shock but I think I failed when I saw Jungkook start to smile while fiddling with his watch.

"And you think that I could be more to you?"

His fingers froze on his watch and eyes instantly shot to meet mine but I held his strong gaze.

"I know, you will be more to me." Jungkook

He growled the first two words. I felt the certainty in his voice, his truth in just those words. I'm taken back, not sure what to say but I hold my ground this time. I feel more confidant as this date goes on.

"If that's the case, let's get to know each other more?"

He nods, relaxing in his chair once again, satisfied I accepted his answer.

"If you can afford to eat here regularly, what do you do for a living? You've avoided to tell me before."

He laughs, nodding as he rests his hands on the table.

"I did, didn't I?" Jungkook

I nod, waiting for his answer.

"I'm self employed. I exterminate rodents." Jungkook

"Rodents? As in rats?"

He hums.

"Yes. More or less." Jungkook

"You must do really well. How did you come up with that business?"

He shrugs, folding his arms over his chest.

"It came to me one day. It was tough to begin with but I got better and it paid off." Jungkook

He gestures to the restaurant and I nod, accepting that.

"I already know what you do." Jungkook

He states, again staring at me like I'm the only one that exists in this world.

"What's my job?"

"You're an aspiring lawyer. Working your way up to the top." Jungkook

I'm surprised he knows that about me. I barely speak to him about my job but he has turned up to my work place so I suppose that explains it.

"Do you want to get married?"

His eyes grew a little and he gave me a awkward smile before fiddling with black his tie.

"Not really something I ever thought I'd experience." Jungkook

"So would you?"

He nods, picking up his wine glass.

"Yes."

A barely there answer but I'll take it.

"Would you have children?"

He chokes.

The literally chokes on his wine at my question and I amusedly watch him fumble. Almost knocking over the wine glass and dropping his napkin three times in the matter of ten seconds.

"You want children?" Jungkook

Eventually he coughs up and I nod, smiling brightly.

"I do. I want four."

He scratches his head and expresses a dumbfound facial expression like he's trying to grasp what I just said.

"So do you?"

It took a moment until his eyes shined, a grin grew and he slowly looks at me. At first I took it as a bright happy smile but there was something lustful about it. Something that showed his true inner thoughts about that idea.

"Yes. I want four too." Jungkook

I accepted that.

The food came and we both dived into the food like hungry lions. At least this place didn't serve expensive food to only give you a spoonful worth of the food for the price. That would of sucked ass.

"Why four though?" Jungkook

He asks curiously, wiping his mouth with his napkin and looking to me for answer.

"Because I grew up with three brothers. So there were four of us and I loved every moment of it. I would like four so my children have each other when I grow old and I'm not longer here."

He freezes and stares at me for the longest time. I almost think he's having a seizure or something but before I could say his name, he snaps out of it and starts eating again.

"That's nice." Jungkook

He mumbles before stuffing his mouth full of food. I watched his cheeks get puffy with food before asking another question.

"Jungkook?"

He hums but doesn't look at me.

"What about your family? You never mention them."

Again he freezes for a couple of seconds. Then stuff a couple more bits of meat in his mouth, finishes chewing and then looks up to me.

"If you don't mind, I'd rather not talk about it here. I can tell you about them at home?" Jungkook

For a moment I stare at his sad features. His eyes are soft, his lips are turned upwards and I feel regret asking now as it seems that question as saddened the mood of our date.

"You know what? Never mind, forget I asked. What's your favourite colour?"

I waved off my question but he grabs my hand, giving it a small squeeze.

"It's black. Y/n, I don't mind speaking to you about my past but....." Jungkook

He sighs, licking his lips and looking down to our hands before meeting my eyes again.

"It'll take time for me to tell you everything and I will. I promise I will tell you everything about my past. It's just not a good one." Jungkook

I saw the large gulp he made and his grip on my hand tightened as if he were afraid I'd leave at second now. But I won't. I'm sure it can't be that bad.

"Okay. I can be patient."

Instantly his whole body relaxed and he flashed this bunny smile that made me not only smile back but blush. I love his smile.

I loved this date.
