Daisy's POV

I have been sitting here in the dark, fully clothed with my suitcase beside me. I have been trying to talk myself into heading out that door and to the airport to head to Virginia. I can't let him harm my new family. I have to take care of this myself. Why can't I just leave? I want to protect them all and my heart is lying asleep in the next room. If anything happened to him, I don't know what I would do. I don't think I could live without him. I thought I loved Scott, but what I have for Dustin is so much different. Thinking about if I ever had to live without him takes my breath away and I feel like my heart is being torn out of my chest. I have to do this though. I can't let that monster hurt him or anyone else. I have got to get up and go to keep them all safe. I finally got up the nerve to move from the chair and head for the door. I take one look back to the bedroom and slowly turn to walk toward the door. As my hand reaches for the door, I hear a voice come from behind me.

"Daisy, where are you going?"

I slowly turn around to see a sleepy Dustin, rubbing his eyes. I freeze to my spot, not able to say anything.

"I...I..."

Were you leaving us?"

"Dustin, I don't want you to get hurt. If I leave, you would be safe and so would everyone else."

He slowly walks toward me, when he gets close to me, he puts his hand on my cheek as I lean into it.

"You don't know that. This man is a psycho. We could be in more danger if you leave. He may hurt us to get to you. Please don't leave. I'm afraid of what he could do to you if he got you."

"I've got to do this. This needs to stop. I am over it all."

"Listen, if you want, you and I can fly out in the morning and get to Virginia before everyone and file a restraining order and give everything to the police."

"I don't know. Maybe if I keep running, you will be safe."

"You can't run forever. He will always come after you. I can't live without you, Daisy. You are my world."

I stand and look into and I can see love, worry and concern in his eyes. He carefully leans down and kisses the tears from my cheek, I didn't even realize they were falling.

"Alright, let's do that. I am so sorry."

"There is nothing to be sorry about. You are scared. Just know that we are all here for you. I love you."

"I love you too."

He gently leads me back to the bedroom and helps me slip out of my clothes and back into bed. He climbs in behind me and wraps his arms around me tightening his grip as if I will leave again while he is asleep. I still don't know how I deserve this man. His thoughts are always of my safety first. My thoughts still run around in my head and it takes a while for me to finally get to sleep

Dustin's POV

We went back to sleep for a few hours. The sun was just coming up on the horizon and I quietly got up and headed out to the kitchenette to make some coffee. Once I have made a cup, I sit at the counter and think about last night. I know this could be the worst ever, taking her into the lion's den but she is determined to finish this and I don't want her to go alone. Today we would all be leaving. She wants to get there as fast as possible so we are going to fly into Virginia. Once we get settled in, we will head to the precinct and get the paperwork started. I don't know how this will work, but hopefully it will set things in the right direction. I grab my phone and call Colin and Jason to tell them to come to my room. It wasn't too long before they were knocking at my door.

"What's up?" Colin asks as he walks into the room.

"Why are you waking me up this early in the morning?" Jason asks with a scowl on his face.

"Daisy is freaking out and wants to go to Virginia and get this done with."

"Why would she be in such a hurry?" Colin wonders.

"I don't really know. She tried to leave early this morning by herself. I caught her as she was about to head out the door. I convinced her to stay and we would go this morning, and catch a flight there. We will meet you all when you get there."

"Okay, I already have everybody's room set up at the Hilton near the venue. I will text you the address and your room of course is under your name. You two stay safe and keep me updated." Jason says sternly.

"I will come with you. We will be in his territory." Colin adds.

"I will book you all a flight as soon as I can get you out."

They both leave and I walk back into the bedroom, over to the bed. She is sleeping so peacefully for once. I hate to wake her up. I watch her for a few minutes as she sleeps. I can't believe how such a wonderful woman has gone through so much. That man is such a monster. He needs to pay for all the things he has done, before another woman falls into his grasp, and is hurt. I sit down on the bed next to her and tuck the stray hair behind her ear as I lean down and kiss her cheek.

"Doll, it's time to wake up. We have a flight to catch."

She slowly stretches and looks up at me and smiles. I lean down and kiss her lips.

"I'm gonna get a shower."

"Alright, I'll pack up my stuff."

While she showers I pack up my clothes and soon she is finished and heads out to get dressed and I head in to get a quick shower, once we are finished we head out to the seating area and Jason is seated waiting for us.

"So I have booked your flight and it leaves in about two hours. The uber should be here in about five minutes. Colin is waiting downstairs for you. You two be careful and keep me informed."

"Alright dad." I chuckle.

"Take your small bags. We can take the rest of your things on the bus with us."

"Thank you" Daisy says quietly.

I grab our carry ons and we head downstairs to meet up with Colin.

"Hey guys, the uber is outside, let's get this moving."
I take Daisy's hand as we walk out to the uber and we climb in the back as Colin climbs in front. It wasn't too long before we headed into the airport and checked into our flight. We then head out to our gate and wait for them to call us. It wasn't long before they started boarding the flight and we headed in. As we stood in line to board I looked around and I thought I saw someone that looked familiar. It couldn't be though. I shake my head as we head in and take our seats. I'll have to thank Jason later for getting us first class tickets. It's nice to be able to stretch out. I'm not fond of flying but even less fond of small spaces. It's about thirty minutes and we are moving down the airstrip and soon in the air. I take Daisy's hand in mine as we climb up to cruising altitude. Eventually we level out and are cruising.

"Are you okay?" She asks as she leans and whispers in my ear.

"I am, but will be better when we land."
It's almost two hours and we were finally landing. Soon we had arrived at our gate and we were cleared to de-board. I stood up to get our bags and looked back and saw the same person I thought I recognized. I dismissed it again. I grabbed our bags and followed Colin and Daisy off the plan. Once we got outside we grabbed an uber and gave him the address of the hotel and headed out. We arrived at the hotel and walked in the check in counter and gave our names. They check us in and hand us our keys. We head up to our floor and head into our rooms. Daisy and I get settled and sit down on the sofa for a bit.

"Are you ready to do this, doll? We can head over now to get it over with."

"Alright, let's do this. Get it done."

I text Colin and after a few minutes we hear a knock on the door. I get up and answer it, and let Colin in.

"We ready to do this?" he asks.

"Let's go." I replied.

We head out and down to the precinct to do the paperwork. We walk in and up to the front desk. We talk with the officer at the front and let him know we wanted to file a restraining order against Scott and report the abuse. He tells us to take a seat and a detective would be out to meet with us. We had been sitting for about thirty minutes or so and finally the detective came out.

"Good afternoon, Miss Rhodes and Mr. Stevens. My name is Detective Williams. Why don't you come back with me to my office."

"I'll wait here." Colin says as we get up to follow the detective. Once we are in his office we take a seat as he sits behind his desk.

"So, you are wanting to file a restraining order against Scott Jackson?"

"Yes, and file charges of physical abuse. My files are at Sacred Heart Memorial." Daisy chimes in.

"These are big charges."

"And they are all true. She has the scars to prove it." I say angrily.

"You are the first woman to stand up and actually come forward. Most disappear or rescind their charges. We have been wanting to take down this monster for years. I will definitely get this filed and take it personally to him. If you will leave your number and where you are staying, so we can get in touch with you. Here is my card, call me if you need anything or if there is anything else you remember."

We sit and talk with the detective for about an hour and then we get up to leave.

"Thank you Detective Williams." I say.

"Yes, thank you very much."

We get up and shake his hand and head out. We grab Colin as we leave to wait for the uber.

"So how did it go?" he asks.

"It's all set. He will be served in a few hours."

"I hope he obeys it." She says with a touch of fear.

"You will be fine. Colin is here and neither one of us will let you out of our sight."

"It's still unsettling. I just have a bad feeling. I don't know why."

"How about we order some pizza and stay in our room?"

"Sounds good to me."

We head back to the hotel and up to our room. Colin decided to head back to his room for a bit as we headed inside. I order pizza as Daisy goes in and changes into comfy clothes. She comes  in and sits down on the couch next to me snuggling into me.

"I like these quiet times together, just you and me, when I don't have to share you."

"I love our quiet times too." I say as I kiss the top of her head.

We sit and talk for a while until we hear a knock at the door and I get up to get the pizza. We sit down and dig in. I hadn't realized how hungry I was. I decided to turn on a movie and we sat and watched as we ate. We decided on a comedy since we both needed some laughs after today. I try to keep my thoughts to myself but she can feel my body tense a bit. I can't help but worry about her and this monster. I just hope that we can protect as I keep telling her. I have been keeping a brave front for her, trying to be brave. I am glad that Colin was with us. He is trained in these things. I just hope he can help her if the time comes. This ex is devious, conniving and evil. I wouldn't put anything past him. We both didn't realize how tired we were and fell asleep on the couch. We were awoken by a loud knock on the door. We sit up and look at each other quizzically. I get up and head to the door, not knowing who it was. As I get closer I hear the banging again.

"Alright Colin, hold on! I'm moving as fast as I can."

Daisy follows me to the door. I open it and stop quickly, frozen in my steps.

"What the hell are you doing here?"
