𝙸𝙽𝚃𝚁𝙾 ₊˚.༄ ࿐ torn down

LUCY GRAY BAIRD IS DEAD. No one knows exactly how it happened. Yet, everyone speculates that her mentor had something to do with it. Now that she is no longer living, the Capital has taken it upon themselves to wipe her existence from the population's memory. The Gamemakers have even erased the tapes of her Games. It's like Lucy Gray was never there in the first place.

The once charming and promising Coriolanus Snow has been convicted of her murder. Newly thrown out from the Peacekeepers, Coriolanus is being forced into the eleventh annual Hunger Games as a tribute — a cruel irony meant to seal his downfall. Behind this decision, is Dr. Gaul, who believes that this action is a necessary check on young Coriolanus's steadily growing hunger for power.

Ryder Hale, a skeptic when it comes to the Games, is assigned to be Coriolanus's mentor. He despises the Games, and sees this as an opportunity to take down the Capital from the inside out. Everything—and everyone's lives—depends on Ryder's ability to artfully corrupt the Capital's once shining star. The only problem is that both he and Coriolanus are incredibly strong willed. It's to the point that their initial partnership is strained. His empathy challenges Coriolanus's cynicism.

Everything changes when Ryder watches Coriolanus fight for his life in the Games. The Capital took it upon themselves to engineer a new, and completely deadly, arena. Things get even worse when the Gamemakers issue one last decree to wrap up the Games: The remaining tributes must fight against each other — and their mentors.
