It's been about a week and Gilbert has come by about every day. The only days he hasn't come was when he had a meeting. He said that I used to go with him and hopefully after they release me I'll be able to go with him again. I want to learn all about Gilbert and what his life is like. The doctor said that I can leave at the end of this week! I'm excited! I cant wait to tell my brother! It's still strange to call him my brother, but I may as well start calling him that considering he is my brother. I wonder if he'll let me call him Gil for short.. It's a lot simpler than calling him Gilbert all the time. Now all I have to do is wait until he gets here so I can tell him. I get up and excuse myself to the bathroom fixing my hair and getting some much needed exercise.

Time passes very slowly when you have nothing to do but sit, sleep, walk around the room and occasionally down the hall, and talk to your brother and doctors every so often. Its enough to drive someone insane. I occasionally read the magazines on the small table meant for guests but they got boring after reading them all about three times, possibly more. Sometimes Gilbert brings flowers but they wilted and were thrown out a few days ago. I've asked for different magazines or something to entertain me but there isn't much the nurses and doctors can do.

The clock ticks, inching closer to an hour. Its almost noon. Gilbert is usually here by now. perhaps hes late. I press the button to call the nurses. I have a slight headache and was hoping they could give me some medication. even though I have the same nurses I tend to forget their names. The doctor said that that's just a side effect of amnesia, that its no big deal, and that hopefully I'll get my memory's back soon. I twiddle my thumbs as I wait for the nurse to arrive.

The door opens and my nurse walks in, she asks whats wrong and I tell her about my headache. its nothing major so she leaves and comes back with a glass of water and some medicine. I thank her and take the medicine before settling down for a nap. I'll wake up when Gil gets here.
