"Blow your speakers out!" The guys sang. They took off the headphones, eagerly looking at Gustavo.

"Print it!"

Emily spun around in her chair, arms up in victory. They just finished the final song on the new album.

"BTR's new album is complete!" Kendall chanted.

"With 12 new songs," Carlos grinned.

"And a new attitude," Logan and James smirked.

"And it's gonna send BTR to new heights and nobody can stop us," Gustavo cheered.

Emily stood, "Now, if you'd all like to gather 'round," she offered, "I'll be copying the files onto the album disk live for you all," she grinned, spinning around Gustavo in front of the monitor.

"I'll get some drinks!" Kelly called, leaving the booth. The guys hollered coming out of the recording booth.

Emily logged in and began accessing the recorded files.

"I can't believe you know how to do this," Carlos gushed, leaning over her shoulder.

Emily's eyes narrowed, amused, "Yeah, it's super rigorous," she sarcastically replied.

"I mean, you create the entire album," Kendall said.

Emily slid back from the keyboard, gave a small wave for the to huddle around her, "Do you guys wanna learn how?"

"Yes!" They all shouted, excitedly.

Emily felt each of them closely leaning over her. She pointed to the file she had just opened, "Okay, so this file is where all of the new songs live." She moved the cursor to the exported hard drive connected to the system, "And this little guy is the hard drive that we take to people who put it on the CD's." She turned looking back at each of them to make sure they were following along.

"So far, so good," Logan hummed.

She turned back, holding in a laugh, "Okay, so then, you select all the songs from the file," she said, dragging the cursor over each song until they were all highlighted. "Then drag them over here..." she dragged the files to the hard drive, letting them disappear as the "fell" in. "And we wait for them to load," she said, spinning around with an amused grin.

The boys all stood back, frowning. "That's is?" Kendall exclaimed.

"I thought you had to type in all these codes," Carlos mumbled.

James nodded, "Yeah, and switch over to the firewall so you could break down the bytes and reboot the software with the memory stick."

His friends turned to him, Emily sitting back with a cocked head, "Do you have any idea what any of that means?" She asked.

"No," he commented. "But I bet I sounded smart."

Emily scoffed as Gustavo and Kelly entered, carrying cups and a giant root beer bottle. Gustavo passed them out as Kelly poured. Everyone gathered around Emily, watching the lines fill up on the screen in indication the songs downloaded successfully.

The first two went through before the guys mumbled anxiously behind her, "Come on." The next track, "Come on," the said, progressively louder. "Come on!"

The computer loaded the final song, chirping as it completed its job. Emily smirked, raising her glass in the air as everyone behind her broke out into celebration. She spun in her chair, leaping up as she clanked her plastic cup around the room.

"And now," Gustavo claimed, "we make our ceremonial march to our digital storage room," he said, walking out with the group following with massive smiles. "And grab our big-time hard drive and get it to the CD making place."

Emily skipped out behind Kendall, holding Logan's hand as he spun her around. She spun out, landing besides Kendall and James.

"Looking for this?"

She looked up, recognizing the haunting voice she hadn't heard in over a year. The girl felt her heart stop as her body frozen and the cup slipped from her hands, spilling over the carpet. A man stood in front of them, holding the hard drive, dress in a silver bird costume with dark sunglasses.

It was Hawk.

"Hawk!" Gustavo gasped, the group halting in shock. Emily couldn't take her eyes off him, too stunned to move. The boys slowly exchanged worried glances between her and each other. "What are you doing here?"

"And why are you dressed like that?" Kendall asked.

"Oh, I'm crazy now," he grinned.

"You've always been crazy," Emily spat in a quiet voice. Hawk smirked at her, holding up the hard drive. Kendall put a comforting hand on the back of her shoulder as James slowly stepped forward in front of her.

"And now I'm stealing your hard drive to get my revenge!"

"Give us that hard drive right now," Kelly demanded.

"No."

"This looks like a job for..." James said, pulling a purple bandana out of his back pocket, "Him."

"No, it doesn't," Kendall said, pulling his arm back down.

"Cause there's seven of us, and only one of you," Carlos told him, confidently.

"Guess again. Hawk-Men!" He cried. Three built men came running out of the storage room with black vests, black hats, sunglasses, and a silver beak over their noses. The group shuddered, stepping backwards. "You know, jail gives you lots of time to design cool henchmen costumes and plan cool escapes." He held up a small silver capsule spiking it to the ground.

The capsule erupted into sparks and a fog.

Smoke filled their lungs as the coughed, swiping the mist away to see Hawk and his men had vanished.

"He's gone," Kelly gasped.

"And so is our entire second album!" Gustavo cried.

Emily hadn't move from her spot as her continued to stare in a daze where the man just was, "He's back," she quietly mumbled.

The girl had found herself making peace with her past at Hawk Records after the boys found out, but since then, she felt so much had happened and something new was always more important, she slowly forgot about it and never went back to talk it through with someone. It had just been sitting there for a year.

Gustavo leaned over to Kelly, whispering, "Call the police." He leaned backwards to the boys, "Dogs, make sure she's not dying," he told them, as the man hustled into his office, looking for a anything to prove Hawk is guilty.

"Em," Logan gently said. "Can you hear us?"

She blinked, "Yeah."

Logan nodded back to the guys. James slowly walked around her, putting a hand on her back. She flinched at his touch, "It's just me," he said, slowly pushing her forward to walk. "Let's sit down, okay?"

Carlos nodded, clearing off the white leather chair as James guided her down into it. "Is she breathing?" Carlos loudly whispered to Logan.

Kendall hit Logan's shoulder, "No one has mention Hawk or anything of it since the concert, right?" He questioned, him, James, and Carlos not understanding how she still shuts off after talking out it.

"She didn't want to talk about it, remember? I think we all just dropped it and never brought it up again and now it's all coming back brand new," Logan explained.

"Remember when I said I could hear you?" Emily retorted in a monotone voice from the couch, feeling coming back into her body as she felt her lungs breathing and eyes moving around the room.

One by one, Emily felt a new person around her. James knelt down in front of her, while Carlos sat by her feet, and Logan and Kendall each on the arms of the chairs beside her.

"Should we talk about it?" Carlos wondered, looking up.

She shrugged, becoming more lively, "What's there to talk about? You guys know everything," she mumbled, looking down, feeling embarrassed just talking about it.

Kendall nodded, looking at his friends, "Yeah, but you kinda just left it at that," he told her. "Do you want to talk through it?"

Emily flicked the zipper back and forth on her jacket, mumbling, "I don't know."

Carlos smirked, sitting up on his legs, "I got it," he told his friends. "How do you feel after it happened?" He asked as if he was a psychiatrist.

"Carlos!" The three snapped, while Emily choked out a laugh at her friend. He didn't know what questions to ask, but he did know how to accidentally make her laugh.

Emily bit the inside of her lip, slowly looking up to Carlos, "Like an object," she answered. The guys silently listened, expecting her to describe how scary and upsetting it was. "I didn't actually cry over it until a few weeks later when I really processed what had happened."

"And you kept it to yourself?" Kendall asked.

"There was no one to tell who would've cared or believed me. The person I was closest with was Hawk," she explained. "And of course Gustavo and Kelly know, but we've never brought it up or talked about. It's just something they're aware of."

"And how do you feel right now?" Logan questioned.

"I'm better," she nodded, her breathing even again. "And I also don't want to talk about it anymore," she told them, looking each in the eye until the nodded in understanding.

The sounds of pounding footsteps and doors opening turned the five teens around to see cops entering the studio. "Gustavo!" Emily called, standing from the chair. His office door opened as he walked out, approaching the main detective. Emily noticed him handing the security footage to look over. Other officers began dusting for prints around the studio and take things.

Emily and the boys walked off to the side, staying out of the way. Kendall looked down at Emily, "Do you want a hug?" He asked, slightly grinning, knowing she hated hugs.

When Emily didn't immediately walk away or hit Kendall, the other guys all shared smug smiles while she twisting her body in place, "I don't know," she said.

"That wasn't a no!" Kendall told them excitedly as he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his chest. The other guys closed her, encasing her in a group hug before she ran off.

"Aw, this is so nice," Logan hummed.

"Alright, hug over," Emily said from the center, pushing their arms apart to break out as the guys laughed.

"Right now, we can't positively identity anyone," The chief said, walking over to Gustavo with a picture in hand. The teens surround the producer, intently listening. "except that's it's-"

"Hawk!" Gustavo snapped, "Arrest him! It's Hawk!"

"Except that it's someone disguised as a nut bag," he finished, sternly staring down Gustavo. "Now, we'll launch a full investigation, as soon as we can."

"As soon as you can?" They all shouted.

"We need to ship our album which is on that hard drive today!" Kelly pressed.

"Oh, really? Well in that case let me get our special boy band task force on this ASAP," he sarcastically remarked.

"Awesome," James cried, hand up to Emily for a high five who stared in disbelief.

"Yes," Carlos cheered.

"I think he's being sarcastic," Logan mumbled to them, as Emily pulled James' hand down for his undeserved high five.

"Mmhm, he is," he hummed. "Besides, I have a lot of other crimes I have to deal with today. I naked mugger, a pawn store holdup and three cats stuck in trees."

"We got a 477 on Curtis and Vine," a voice sounded from a deputy's radio.

"Make that four cats," he cursed, shoving the deputy forward. "Get out there, Brown. Besides why don't you just download your backup files?"

The group froze in realization, turning to Emily who pursed her lips nodding to herself that she did indeed back up the tracks. The chief pushed through the team, leaving without much help.

"Moore," Gustavo called.

"Yup," she nodded, going up into the booth, to check the files.

"Search Blow Your Speakers Out and the file should come up," Kendall said, him and everyone running in, gathering around Emily.

James yelped when the computer came back empty. Emily's heart dropped, knowing he erased all the songs when hacking in.

"He must of hacked in and stole all the song files!" Logan cried, leaning besides Emily.

"Wait," James questioned. "Why is Blow Your Speakers Out showing up on a weblink?"

Emily noticed the recommend search the computer offered. She clicked, taking them to a page for an artist named Zwagger.

"Who's hot new artist Zwagger?" Kelly asked.

"And why can you preorder Blow Your Speakers Out on his hot new album?" Gustavo trembled.

Carlos gasped, reading the screen, "And Paralyzed and Superstar and all of our songs!"

Emily groaned her head falling to the side, "Gustavo, who do you know that replaces all of their S's with Z's," she rhetorically asked.

"What label is he on?" Gustavo snapped, realizing what Emily already put together. Logan leaned over, taking the mouse, as the label for Hawk Records appeared. "Hawk's recording our new songs and is going to release them before we do," he said in a hushed tone, as quiet as anyone had heard him before.

"Ah!"

***

The van came to a screeching stop as Emily and Kendall through the door sliding open while stopping, the guys jumping out with Gustavo while Kelly ran out of the driver's side.

Emily looked up seeing the Hawk Record's studio in front of her.

"Okay! What do we do," Carlos asked, crouched over.

"I think we should just call the police again," Kelly said.

"What? So they can tell us to wait a few days while they save some cats," Gustavo cried.

James stepped forward, turning to face the group, "I think it's time for him," he said, pulling two bandana's out of his back pockets, arms out on both sides. James began spinning in a circle. Emily looked on confused while his friends snapped and held him still. "The only way to defeat super villains is with superheroes," he told them.

"All we have to do in get into Hawk Records, and steal back out hard drive," Kendall said, him and Gustavo jumping down and back up, wearing roped over their shoulders and carrying tools, "normal burglar style."

"Do you realize breaking and entering is against the law, right?" Logan checked.

"May I remind you that in that studio is the only copy to BTR's second album. Now, who's in?" Gustavo said.

Logan sighed, holding his hand out, "Give me the bolt cutters."

"Sledgehammer, please," Carlos grinned, catching the tool Kendall tossed.

"Kelly, give the van ready and running," Kendall said. "Em, guise us through the studio and-"

The girl gave an apologetic smile, "I'm gonna stay out here," she told them.

"You sure?" Logan asked. She nodded silently.

Kendall sighed, turning back to James, "You, can wear one bandana," he said, taking the others away from him.

"Let's get our songs back," James smiled, straightening his bandana wrapped around his forehead.

The boys cheered, running forward.

"Gustavo!" Emily called. He turned. "There's a mic trophy in the office like yours. Tip it over, press the button and a secret safe opens," she told him. Gustavo nodded, jogging off with the boys.

***

They got arrested.

Kelly and Emily hid in the van when they saw the cops arrive and take the five away.

At the police station, Kelly filed bail. Emily snuck off back to the front desk.

She placed her shaky hands on the desk, the woman looking up and smiling. "Hi, how can I help you?"

Emily took a breath, "I'd like to file a report."

***

Emily quickly finished her paperwork and statement when she ran back to Kelly who told her they were releasing the guys now.

Emily and Kelly walked around the corner, to see the five in a single jail cell. James was bent down in front of the lock, holding a bandana.

The guard opened the door as James exclaimed, "I did it!"

"Big Time Rush, you made bail," The chief sighed.

James and the guys looked over to see the two girls giving smug looks.

"Kelly!"

"Emily!"

They cheered, running out of the cell. James stood up, immediately engulfing Emily in a tight hug. Kendall and Logan ran over, circling around her while Gustavo and Carlos attacked Kelly. Their cheerful reunion was cut short.

"Yay!" The chief mocked. "Now, stay out of my way!" He snapped, the group flinching, "I am looking into your hard drive robbery, but this is the LAPD. We have a lot of crime. Last year alone we had-"

"We have another 477 on Sunset and Vine."

"Will someone please save the tree cat!" He screamed around the station. The deputy besides him ran off, nodding. "I better not catch you anywhere near Hawk Records, or next time there will be no bail," he warned.

"Yes, sir, Mr. Commissioner, we will stay away from Hawk Records," Gustavo promised.

Kelly nodded nervously, turning around with a bright smile as she hurdled the guilty herd out to the van.

Emily fell into step with the guys, playfully bumping Logan's shoulder, "Guess I should've come in with you guys," she joked.

"Yes," they responded.

"No."

It went awkwardly silent as Emily inhaled a nervous breath, looking back and forth at James who expressed his distaste for her alternative plan she joked about.

***

"Okay, how do we get back into Hawk Records?" Gustavo asked.

Five seconds into arriving back into their own studio, and Gustavo was already planning. Emily turned, holding up a finger with a tight, closed mouth to say "actually."

"Weren't you idiots just in jail?" Kelly snapped.

An eerie, evil laughter echoed through Emily's ears. She shuddered back, looking up.

"Ah, I can almost hear him laughing at us now," Gustavo cried. Emily tilted her head, looking at the others to realize they were all hearing the laughter.

"Wait!" Kendall cried. Emily looked over as Kendall spun the mini computer around that sat in the lobby. Hawk appeared on the screen.

Huddled around the screen, Emily rested her arms on Logan's back as James leaned on her shoulders. "There are three things every super villain must do: laugh evilly, seek revenge, and show up on various screens unexpectedly," he chuckled, wearing the eccentric costume again.

"You'll never get away with this, Hawk!" Gustavo shouted.

"Oh, but I am," he said, pulling the young boy Emily recognized as Zwagger into frame, "In fact, I've just put a little Zwagger on your song Superstar, which is going to turn him into a superstar."

"That's song six!" Carlos cried, jumping on Kendall's back, "He's halfway there."

"Did you say his song Superstar?" The kid asked, pointing at the camera as Hawk shoved him out of view.

"Okay! And what do you think of this as a title for my new CD? Caw!" He screeched causing Gustavo to slam on the keyboard, the feed cutting out.

"We will not let him get away with this!" Kelly snapped.

"Yeah, well we're not allowed to go to Hawk Records either," Logan pointed out.

Kendall sighed, "I never thought I'd say this. James!"

The group straightened up. Emily jumped as James replied, on the opposite side of the room suddenly.

"We won't be there," he said. "But he will," he nodded to the bandanas in his hands. Emily furrowed her brows as James shot his arms out, spinning in a circle. The boy spun so fast he became blurry and a bright light shone. Emily squinted away, looking back to see James in a full black outfit, with a purple bandana cape, and purple bandanas tied all around his body.

"How does he do that?" Kelly gasped, horrified.

"We're not sure," Kendall answered.

"Okay, so Bandana Man is going to defeat Hawk and his Hawk-Men by himself?" Logan retorted.

"Bandana Man?" Emily repeated.

"No," James pointed. "The Supertastic Super-7 will."

"Who's the Supertastic Super-7?" Carlos asked.

"I'm looking at them."

"So you want us to disguise ourselves as superheroes, raid Hawk Records, and take the hard drive back by force?" Emily remarked.

"Does anybody have a better idea?" Emily gaped as she raised her hand along with everyone else. "I didn't think so."

Ja- Bandana Man ordered that everyone gather everything in the studio. Objects, clothing, left items, and pile them in the lobby.

"I can't believe we're doing this," Kendall said as Kelly threw a sink into the pile.

"Supertastic Super-7, suit up!" James shouted.

"You said super twice," Logan pointed out.

"You bet I did."

Emily helplessly shrugged to Kelly, going forward as she tugging things out of their place, tossing them over her shoulders.

She found a lab coat, throwing in Logan's direction, as she dug deeper.

Everything in the pile was basically clothes the boys left behind or hockey gear. She did find a pair of large rimmed glasses and a baseball cap. Putting them on, she skipped over to the guys. Logan was dressed as a surgeon with a mask covering his face. Kendall had a hockey uniform on, the black paint covering his eyes, and Carlos found his superhero costume he wore after the concert debacle when he was obsessed with saving the world.

Gustavo jogged up wearing an orange and blue superhero suit with a large SG on the front.

"Kelly, where's your costume?" Kendall questions as she stood there with nothing new.

"I didn't like anything in the pile," she shrugged.

"You can't go like that! You'll get recognized," Carlos cried.

"What about Emily?" She asked, turning to the girl with glasses and a hat.

"Um," she scoffed, "superheroes always disguise themselves with a pair of glasses and a cap in a comics." The boys nodded, pointing at her and everyone crossed their arms at Kelly.

"Ugh, fine," she groaned. Kelly bent down, picking up a green bowl. "I'll be bowl-head," she said, putting the bowl over her head, covering her eyes. "Covers my face and I don't look any dumber than you guys."

"Good point," Logan mumbled.

"Supertastic Super-7, to the skies!" James cried. Everyone leapt forward, extending theirs bodies only to crash onto the ground on top of each other. Emily took the glasses off as Kelly lifted the bowl up.

"You can't fly!"

***

After successfully sneaking into the studio, James insisted they all line up in intimidating poses and wait for Hawk to walk in.

"Now upload your album to the web and get my revenge," Hawk cheered as he came into view, with his Hawk-Men behind him, and walking in arm with the boy.

 "Think again, Hawk!" Gustavo cried.

"Who are they?" Zwagger asked.

"We are the Supertastic Super-7," James announced.

"You said super twice," Hawk pointed out.

"You bet he did," Emily and the others responded.

"We want our songs back now," Kelly snapped.

Hawk cawed as his men ran forward, taking on the superheroes. Emily hung back, unsure how this was productive. She spotted Zwagger hiding behind a table. Going around the fight, she ran over, crouching by him.

"What's up? I'm Emily," She said.

"Hi?"

"You wouldn't happen to know where the hard drive is, would you?" Emily asked. "He's probably been obsessing over it all day."

Zwagger rolled his eyes, waving for Emily to follow him. They snuck off, closing the door into his office. Her breath hitched, the first time being in the room in years. Zwagger reached under his desk, "Here," he gladly passed it off, "He's been talking to it all day."

Emily hummed, eyeing his computer on the desk, wide open and unlocked. She side eyed the kid who shrugged, definitely not caring what she did. Emily sat in front, clicking through his files to see it was the same as it was when she worked there.

Thinking to herself, she passed through a few folders, finding access to the security footage from past years. She went back to the day it happen, found the video. Emily double clicked, refusing to watch it: she knew what it was.

She attached the file to an email, sending it off. She grabbed the hard drive, running back into the room. Running in, she saw Hawk holding another capsule as he attempted to escape. She put the hard drive in the plant for hiding.

Emily swiped one of Kendall's hockey sticks as he complained, ran over, swung her arms back and slammed the stick into Hawk's face, breaking it in two.

"My nose!" He cried, as Gustavo and Carlos picked him up. Emily froze, looked up as a siren went off to see the police chief fuming in front of all of them.

"Do you see this?" He muttered to his deputies. "Can you believe what I am seeing? I thought I told you guys to stay away from Hawk Records!"

"Commissioner," Hawk charmed. "They broke in, attacked me, and Ms. Moore broke my nose," Hawk sniffled, blood dipping down onto his sliver costume.

"Yeah, she did," Kendall scoffed, prideful.

"I think you know what to do," Hawk said.

"Yes," the chief nodded. "Arrest him for stealing Big Time Rush's second album." Pointing at Hawk, the officer went forward cuffing the man.

"What? You can't prove anything!"

"We checked local costume shops to see who bought a Hawk costume and we found this receipt."

Emily scoffed, not surprised. In her experience, he wasn't the brightest in the bunch.

"That could be any Hawk!"

"And we found your comment card where under reason for purchase you checked revenge," the chief snapped.

The officer dragged him off. "Who cares?" He hissed. "You'll never find your precious hard drive."

Emily smirked, walking over to the plant on the corner, pulling it out, "You mean this one?" She waved it in front of his face.

"He's been talking to it all day," Zwagger commented, "saying "revenge is mine," and freaking me out!"

"You're also being prosecuted under the charges filed against you for the alleged sexual assault of a minor," he spat at Hawk.

Emily felt the eyes of her friends on her. The chief bitterly smiled, "Actually, we've received security footage of the event from your computer." Emily locked challenging eyes with Hawk as he realized what she did. "We'll be needing to see the rest of your files."

Hawk gaped at Emily, speechless.

"I win," she said.

She smiled to herself as the man was dragged off, silently and his Hawk-Men arrested behind her. Emily stood there, staring at the commissioner, as he glared at them. She tightly held the hard drive, waiting for him to say something.

He looked at Emily, nodding. She turned a beaming smile as she tossed the hard drive into Gustavo's hand and the group broke out in cheers.

"Hey!" The man snapped. They all turned, wincing, "I thought I told you guys I would handle this."

"Are we in trouble?" The six people behind Emily muttered.

"No," he answered. "In fact, I could use an action squad like you I can call when disaster strikes this fine city and is too much for me to handle!"

James smiled, stepping forward, "I think I speak for the entire Supertastic Super-7 when I say we are willing and ready to serve."

The man smiled, "Good. There's another 477 on Sunset and Vine. Bye!" He chimed, hurrying off to avoid saving the cats of L.A.

"That's not what I was thinking," Carlos mumbled, disappointed.

"And you!" Kelly beamed. Emily slowly turned around, seeing her smiling proudly at her. "When did this happen?"

She shrugged, hugging her arms, "I placed a formal statement when you were posting bail and broke into his computer back there," she nodded back.

She realized her opportunity when the boys were talking with her earlier that day. She had never thought of pressing charges considering Hawk's credibility at the time. Him breaking his parole on the first day is all she needed to go through with it.

"You good?" Logan nodded, taking his mask off.

Emily curled a small smile, nodding, "I'm really good."

The looked over, meeting eyes with James, who's eyes were partially covering by a bandana, but he gave her a supportive smile. Their moment broke as a force tackled Emily, attacking her in a bear hug.

She laughed, feeling the helmet bang against her head as Carlos squeezed her. As he let go, James stepped in, hugging her tightly, holding on as long as she would let him.

She stepped back, seeing Logan giving her an excited grin as he wrapped his arms around her. Gustavo and Kelly watched their interactions, nodding to each other, fist-bumping, knowing they had it handle, and she was gonna be alright.

"Dude," Kendall cried. Emily let go of Logan, turning to the boy. He held up both pieces of the now broken hockey stick. "How hard did you hit him?"

She gave him a smirking shrug as she turned to the group, walking out of the studio, "Guys, this is the kinda strength I need you all to strive for if we're going to save all the cats," she told them, pointing her her hockey stick.

They groaned, rolling their eyes.

"Oh, whatever," Carlos told her.

"Oh, and James, I'm really gonna need you to work on your balance."

The boy rolled his eyes, "You weren't even in the fight!"

Emily laughed to herself as they all shouted after her, thinking of what to say next to rile everyone up.

***

So this took me a hot sec.

1. I am fully aware a report would not fly that fast and the justice system is kinda trash, however, let me be. My justice system can be legit if James can spin and turn into a superhero, right?

2. Let me know your THOUGHTS! Genuinely, my favorite part is looking through everyone's comments and what part they commented on. It makes me smile. Y'all rock!

I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Some reveals in the next ooohooh AND then the last one before the moving (which I think is the funniest episode of all)

Enjoy :)
