Chapter seven: "Stop spoiling Mordred!"

The mall was crowded, you could hear music of some sort playing in the background. As people, in groups or alone. Walked by, with bags of stuff they brought in they hands.

Groups of teen chatting along with each other, kids being loud running around with they parents chasing after them.

Of course, Mordred wasn't one of those children. Her new father figure, held her in her toned strong arms. Afraid she'll lose the child, she grew closer to every single day.

"(Y/N).." Her partner sighed, the taller girl out of the three shook her head, and tightened her grip on the toddler.

"Nope! Mordred stays with me at all costs!" Mordred giggled, as (Y/N) pulled her closer to her face.

As the three walked though the malls, passing by different stores. "Ah!" Mordred pointed her little finger at a store, "Hmm?" Both the collage students to turn to see what the toddler chose.

Excitement ran though (Y/N)'s veins, "Are you sure Mordred's your child?" Artoria rolled her eyes, playfully shoving (Y/N)'s arm. Mordred whined, tugging at the back of (Y/N)'s hoodie as a sign to hurry up.

The group walked into the Nike store, (Y/N) felt like a child all over again. When her parents would bring her here, to buy some new stuff and maybe a pair of shoes ever now and then.

"Don't lose her, please." (Y/N) turned back to Artoria, who was standing in the women section, looking at different clothing. (Y/N) brought a smile to her face, "I won't, I'll make sure to keep her in my grasp and sight." With that, (Y/N) and Mordred went to the back of the store, where the shoes were on display.

"Is there anything you want?" The endless rows of shoes, different type along with different styles and size. One thing the shoes had in common, was that most of them was placed in an orange box.

"Hmm." Mordred hummed, thinking about what she wants. Until an certain pair caught her eyes, "That one!" The older girl arched an brow, "Which one? Most of them have the same color box, Mordred."

Mordred huffed and lightly slapped the older girl's cheek. "Papa! In front of you!" As the toddler said that, she pointed to a pair of red and white running shoes.

Still in a shocked state, since Mordred just slapped her. She pulls her eyes to the shoes, that the little girl in her arms wanted.

(Y/N) grabbed the box, "This one?" Mordred nodded eagerly. "Are you sure?" Mordred nodded again, (Y/N) smiled moving from to shoes to find Artoria.

A smile tugged at (Y/N)'s face as she saw Artoria, scanning though the clothes that were on display. (Y/N) came up behind Artoria, watching as she looked though the clothes.

"You done?" Artoria jumped from (Y/N)'s voice, but let out a sigh of relief. "Not really, but we got more stores.." The young blonde stopped mid sentence, as her gaze fell down on the pair of shoes (Y/N) was holding.

She squinted her eyes and looked up at (Y/N). "You're daughter wanted them." Artoria sighed once again, squeezing Mordred's cheeks with an powerful grip.

"Don't take advantage of (Y/N), just cause you have her wrapped around your finger." Mordred whined, pushing her mother's hands away.

Her cheeks were flushed red, from Artoria's grip on them. "B-But..papa said I could have them.." Artoria turned her gaze back on the taller girl.

"You're going to spoil my daughter." "She loves it," The two college students had a stare off, Artoria had a mad expression on her face, while (Y/N) had a stupid grin.

"Want anything? I'll buy it for you."

The three continued to walk though the mall, (Y/N) holding the orange Nike bag, while Artoria carried Mordred.

Mordred looked up at (Y/N)'s face, and suddenly smiled from just staring at her.

"I wanna to be like papa when I grow up!" This made (Y/N) look down at the toddler, "Me?! Nah, I don't think you want to be like me when you're grown." This statement made Mordred frown her brows.

"Why? You cool." (Y/N) pulled a sad smile on her face, bringing her warm hand to gently pat Mordred's head.

"There's...some stuff I went though as a kid, that I don't want you going though." Mordred was about to open her mouth to say something, but her mother gave her the look to stop.

"Welp." (Y/N) broke the tension between them all. "We still got more stores to look at and buy." This made Mordred smile in excitement.

(Y/N) returned the friendly gesture, with a grin of her own.

"Looks like we got a long adventure ahead of us."
