Let's get this settled ── since the beginning of time, the Malfoys and Weasleys never got along, period. When Matilda Louise Malfoy attended Hogwarts for the very first time, she knew that she would not get along with the Weasley twins. After all, her family has a very different view of blood status than the Weasley's do. Fred and George would always bug her with their pranks, making her extremely upset.  So upset, she would prank them back. Hell, their whole second year, was just pure hatred. Matilda and the twins had a full on prank battle to annoy each other their whole year, and everyone was in on it.

However, Matilda did have a little fun while getting revenge on the twins, she would never, never in a million years tell her father she had a prank battle with them, he would go insane. By the time their little siblings had arrived some things had changed. She realized how awful her family values were, and how awful her little brother was to people. Was she that cruel? Was that why she really only had one true friend? Since that moment, when she realized how awful she might have been in the past, and after her break down in the kitchens while getting a late night snack, she wanted to do what was right. She started to act nice, well, to the people that deserved it.

People were shocked. A Malfoy that isn't staring them down in the hallways! A Malfoy who actually has a genuine smile on her face! And one that doesn't care what her father might think? Well, she'll have to work on that last one. She doesn't want to make him mad. That same year, professor McGonagall had asked her to tutor George Weasley. He was getting a little behind in transfiguration and she didn't want him to fall behind.

So, she agreed. The same time this is happening, a triwizard tournament is going on at the school. A whole lot of things are happening, that no one would really pay attention to a Malfoy and a Weasley hanging out in the back of the library. That weird thing about this whole situation, is that Matilda actually liked hanging out with Weasley, and so did he. Would they be sad if something were to go wrong to make them stop hanging out, maybe.
