Interview 55
Where are you from?
Utah
How old are you?
I am 15 at the moment, but will be 16 in August!
What and who inspired you into reading and/or writing?
I am not entirely sure how to answer this one. I have always been drawn to writing. It was almost as if it was a calling.
What was the first book that you read that started your love for reading?
The first series I read that got me really into reading is the Magic Tree House series.
What was the turning point in your life that you decided to take your writing seriously?
When I Started re-writing one of my oldest stories just recently when I realized "Oh my Gosh, I think I might actually go through with this." But it has always been in the back of my mind.
What is the inspiration for your stories?
My Friends and a few followers that I have. They are my motivation, my inspiration to keep writing. I also listen to music.
Do you outline your stories or write whatever comes to mind?
I try to outline my works, but usually, I just write whatever comes to mind.
What is your method of beginning to writing a book?
I sit down with an idea and I just write the first thing that comes to mind. Often I don't even know the full story yet, so halfway through the beginning doesn't even fit with the rest of the story. Haha.
Do you ever get attached to the characters in your story? If so, what part of their personality or quirks do you find relatable?
I get attached to characters more than I should. Heck, one of my usernames that I go by is one of my characters' names! Boxer McFoster's character was made with an almost replica of my personality. He is also a klutz. I relate to that.
Do you base your characters on people in your personal life, imagination, or both?
Both. Often characters are based on people I know in reality though. Some of my characters are based on childhood toys!
What is the best part of writing a story?
The Climax is always my favorite part. It is usually so action-packed and full of emotion - I just love it!
How do you deal with writer's block?
I listen to some tunes and read a book mostly. Reading helps me come up with more ideas. Or I might watch a Studio Ghibli film... I love Studio Ghibli
Would you want to see your story or stories be adapted? If so, who would you want to play your characters?
I would love to see my stories adapted! I would definitely play the role of Boxer, (I mean his character is based on me....)
What kind of advice would you give to an aspiring writer?
Creativity is not comparable to any other power.
Are you working on a new story?
Maybe..... I might have something in the works.....
(You'll just have to wait and see!)
