Interview 42
Where are you from?
Prince George's County, Maryland, USA
How old are you?
18
What and who inspired you into reading and/or writing?
So what inspired me was this guy who I'm still currently in love with back when I was in 9th grade. We both liked each other but were like friends who could never get it right. I was big on Black Butler at the time and he was my light so we joked around about him was my angel and I was his demon. Which all developed into my first book in the following November 2016.
What was the first book that you read that started your love for reading?
My Sister the Vampire by Sienna Mercer (5th Grade to the point when I was grounded one time and so punishment was I had to be in my parents' room facing them and not their tv. SO I pulled out my book and started reading it and when I finished my dad, who was supposed to watch me, fell asleep and my mom walked in. She got mad obviously and took it from me because I wasn't supposed to have any entertainment but that's my story on it.)
What was the turning point in your life that you decided to take your writing seriously?
When the love of my life and me got into a very petty fight and he stopped talking to me.
What is the inspiration for your stories?
My own issues as I kinda end up using them to vent and I can do that shockingly as my school put in my IEP that I have overwhelming trauma.
Do you outline your stories or write whatever comes to mind?
I just write whatever comes to mind.
What is your method of beginning to writing a book?
I don't have a method, I have this little voice in my head that bothers me if I don't write it. But really I just put what comes to mind and add a few things to explain the characters and setting to just start it.
Do you ever get attached to the characters in your story? If so, what part of their personality or quirks do you find relatable?
Yes, I heavily do as it's really hard for me to not include a piece of truth from me in them.
Do you base your characters on people in your personal life, imagination, or both?
It's both because I specifically put out a short story book last year about my anger towards a group of people at school and what I wished could happen.
What is the best part of writing a story?
The best part is when you are entranced and that nothing can stop your thought.
How do you deal with writer's block?
For me, I just don't take a shower for a few days and eat food which lifts my writer's block. Yes, it's disgusting but it works.
Would you want to see your story or stories be adapted? If so, who would you want to play your characters?
Yes, I would and I would love to see Calum Hood play Nikoloz (His Aries Side) and well I would love to play my own character, Danielle.
What kind of advice would you give to an aspiring writer?
Write every idea and thought and dream down. So you could use it as a thing in your story.
Are you working on a new story?
None currently just editing my main series and posting chapters for "Kidnapped by Love" and "His Aries Side"
