Achieving success is a matter of great intellect and capability. People may believe that they achieved their successes by the notions of good luck but I support the former view that hardwork is the consequence of success and luck is not the dominant aspect of gaining it.
Firstly, If we acknowledge the viewpoint that a person moves from rags to riches by luck, it is definitely wrong. Even though relying on luck is an attempt to escape reality. However, It has a little positive role in success sometimes. For instance, in the World War I, Alexander Fleming accidently discovered penicillin. Even though there is some luck that he forgot to clean up his petri dish but basically if he had not been working hard, he would never have achieved fame. Therefore, success comes from hardwork and luck is a little reward for the tough attempts a person makes.
Moreover, relying on luck is an attempt to escape reality. It is basically super-natural to think that today you will do something great because you think luck is with you. If you keep sitting in your bedroom and wait for some miracle to happen, it would be more of a baloney.
Hence, believing in luck is a cliché and in order to attain success in life, it is solely hard work that gives you the fruit, no wonder a slight luck granted from God to accompany his being for working with passion for the survival of his goals.
