Summary:

Twelve-year old Ciel Phantomhive is the savvy owner of the Funtom company, a toy manufacturer. He owns a rebuilt mansion, a fortune, and has a dark past with an even darker future.

After a fire that burnt down the Funtom manor and ultimately killed his parents, Ciel wants to exact revenge. So, he makes a Faustian contract with a demon named Sebastian Michaelis to kill the arsonists. There is only one rule to the contract: As soon as Sebastian has done his duty, he gets to consume Ciel's soul. It is unknown to everyone that Ciel's new butler is a demon, but other supernatural beings like Shinigami and Angels can easily identify him.

Ciel is known as the Queen's Watchdog, because whenever he isn't taking care of his company or tracking down the arsonists, he's busting crime in London's streets. Teamed with Sebastian, they are unstoppable. But, trouble is brewing in Britain again, and this time, it's supernatural... It's possible that not even one hell of a butler can handle it alone.

Opinion:

This anime was pretty sick, I'll give it that. It was definitely dark, though. There was lots of blood and this show is NOT meant for kids under the age of twelve! Obey my warning!

It was pretty funny though, in dark ways once again. Hence, "black comedy." If you don't know what that is, it's basically a movie or show that is meant to be funny, but in dark ways you shouldn't be laughing at.

There were parts that were confusing almost, and made you wonder if it was reality or not; like the second season's finale, which I'll mention later. I think what kept me watching was just how Sebastian handled everything. If he was here, the first thing I'd made him do was teach me how to write properly, because I still haven't learned after years and years of schooling. Seriously! Don't believe me? Check out my other books and you'll see.

I just... I can't get over how insanely DARK this anime was! The manga was worse! This isn't something to take lightly... I see how Toboso wants to make us feel something inside, but all I felt was pity and regret for watching this in the first place. It didn't turn out in the end, per se, but it was a great series.

The second season was even darker, if possible. It's called Black Butler II and has twelve episodes and six OVAs. It's about another rich pretty boy, named Alois Trancy with his demon butler, Claude. I'm not going to say more because it kinda escalated from there.

To be honest, there's so many fricken yaoi fan fictions and fan art between either Sebastian and Ciel, Claude and Alois, Ciel and Alois, or Sebastian and Claude; that it makes me question whether or not I still like it. If you don't know what yaoi is, then let me say this quickly before you make the mistake I did months ago:

DON'T SEARCH UP EXPLICIT YAOI ON GOOGLE IMAGES, ZEROCHAN, BING, ANYTHING!

Your eye sockets will melt and your mouth will fill with the blood you're throwing up.

Okay, that's an exaggeration. It's still terrifying, and I'm not going to explain it. Ask an otaku friend of yours.

If any of you readers like normal yaoi, that's perfectly okay. That's fine. I meant that the explicit hentai yaoi is the stuff you don' want to search up.

There are plenty of warnings for Black Butler. Just because I feel like it, I'm going to make a list of all the disturbing/offending scenes for any weak-stomached people out there.

1. Blood? TONS. Lots, and I think it's exaggerated. Gore everywhere!

2. There's tons of disturbing scenes that actually haunted me for days, so if you don't like that... Don't watch! I'll mention them later.

3. There is definitely sexual content, from bisexual Grell to Sebastian rocking the bed with a nun (excuse my language). I still wonder... Are you a holy nun if you do that with a demon? I mean, come on!

4. There is censored nudity because of Pluto.

5. Forced stripping for punishment.

6. Implied molestation and rape.

7. There is some language, I believe. A fair amount.

8. Sewing the head of a person onto a dead body.

9. Stitching two people's faces together.

10. Jabbing a thumb into someone's eye socket.

11. Seeing a chainsaw tear someone in half or through the middle.

12. Pulling a sword from someone's mouth.

13. Vomiting tons of blood.

14. Graphic scenes of being burned to death.

15. Being waterlogged, I think it's called. Not fun.

16. Being roasted alive in an oven.

That's really it, and those are just warnings for people who do not enjoy that. Sorry if I forgot a few. Have...fun...watching? I guess?
