Two
Morning came painfully slow, Stephanie was already awake, truth be told she didn't actually go to sleep, she had tried but her lover's pained screams filled her ears and echoed in her mind, "Steph..." Miranda Salvatore called out as she entered the room in which her sister was sitting in the window bay.
A brown head turned to the door, eyes still red, even more then, "We're getting ready to leave." Miranda whispered from her spot at the door, Stephanie nodded at her younger sister, "We'll be downstairs." Stephanie nodded once more and looked back outside. Miranda turned around and trudged back the stairs, meeting her twin at the foot of the stairs.
"Is she at the window bay?" Jennifer Salvatore frowned, the sight of her twin coming back alone didn't sit well with her, "Yeah, I don't think she slept." Miranda replied, before a loud curse came from the kitchen, the two peeked into the stairs to see their uncle holding both his hands up in the air.
"Didn't I order you out of the kitchen while I'm cooking?" Bonnie's angry voice echoed down the corridor, "Bon!" Jeremy cried ou as a knife flew in his direction, "Is aunt Bonnie trying to kill uncle Jeremy again?" Stephanie's voice questioned from the top of the stairs, "Yeah." the 12 twins replied.
Stephanie sighed and quickly trotted down the stairs and walked into the kitchen, efficiently catching the knife that was thrown in Jeremy's direction. "No blood spilling when the twins are around." She reminded, placing the knife back on the table, "Your uncle walked into my kitchen while I was cooking and tried to steal the food." Bonnie replied, throwing a glare at the cowarding behind the 15-year-old girl.
"And I don't want my sisters to see their uncle bleeding on the ground." Stephanie grumbled before grabbing a sandwich off the platter, the adults nodded and each grabbed a sandwich before handing two to the twins.
The group walked out of the house, watching as the charms that were placed on the house fall, the twins walked on each side of their sister, innocence cloaking their features, Stephanie carried a gun under her shirt and the two duffel bags, one in each hand, as well as her backpack on her back.
"Remember, in this other universe you won't exist. Things are not what you know them to be." Bonnie reminded, "And this is not for you Steph, I'm talking to Mandy and Jenna." The twins both rolled their eyes as they reached the empty and abandoned Town Square. "We won't go running off." The twins claimed simultaneously, "You won't do anything that can set you apart from everyone else." Bonnie exclaimed.
Once they reached it, Bonnie began chanting while Stephanie turned to her sisters and fixed their clothing, silence filled the air around the group with the exception of Bonnie's chanting, allowing the girls to wallow in the endless possibilities of what may happen in this alternate world.
"Are we going to the school?" Mandy questioned with hope-filled eyes, "Yes, Bonnie has contacted other world Bonnie to make sure she contacted that world Alaric to accommodate you in the school." Jeremy replies, handing his eldest niece a small pouch, "What's this?" Stephanie frowned, grabbing the leather pouch from her uncle and stuffing it in her backpack. "Your mother and father liked to have a contingency plan for you girls. In this case, it involves having vials of their blood from when they were vampires kept hidden." Jeremy explained.
"It's ready." Bonnie called back to them after a moment of silence, the twins instant gripped their sister's hand and looked up at her, worry clouding their innocent features, "It's okay girls. We're going to be okay." Stephanie reminded them, watching as each of them grabbed the duffel bags that she had been previously carrying.
