" Have a seat, baby." Kaden whispered gently as he and Lily walked into his large pack house, he lead her up the stairs and into his office where he knew they would have complete privacy. Lily took a seat on the two person, black, leather sofa that looked onto a large plasma TV, mounted onto the cream coloured wall. Underneath the Tv was a black modern style fire place, a glass coffee table with black metal legs stood between Lily and the fireplace. The floor was covered with a thick cream coloured carpet that matched the wall. While most of the walls were either covered by book shelves or had on of two large four paneled windows. The wall behind the large dark oak desk held a large painting of a man that was clearly from an age well back.

" So... Why where the rogues after you?" Kaden spoke as he sat down next to her gently. Lily sighed heavily and closed her eyes, wishing she would not have to talk about the reason, but also knowing she had no other choice.

" Before I became a Rogue myself... I was part of the Red River pack. I grew up with my mother and father happily. Until my mother passed away. Thats when my father changed, he would go out drinking and gambling; eventually running us into a lot of debt." She began looking down to her hands. "Alpha Cole noticed his distress and took advantage. He made a deal, that he would pay off all his debts, give him more money and more land." Lily fell into a silence as she remember the memories.

" In exchange for all this, my father gave him me. My life was then a complete misery. Alpha Cole would beat me until I was in a pool of my own blood almost every day." Lily explained, but stopped when she heard a dangerously low growled rip from Kaden. She turned to look at him and saw his eyes had glazed over and turned completely black. He was shaking harshly, not from fear; but from anger. But Kaden calmed himself down immediately after seeing Lily fearful expression, with a heavy calming sigh he closed his eyes.

" I'm sorry, princess. I never meant to scare you." Kaden whispered softly as his eyes faded back to their normal blue colour. "It's just the thought of someone hurting you makes my wolf and I extremely mad." There was a long silence again.

" His name? What is your wolf's name?" Lily asked with a quiet voice, as if she was scare to ask loudly.

" Colin, What about yours?" Kaden smiled a heart warming smile to her that sent butterflies into a frenzy within her stomach.

" Cana." She whispered to him with a slight blush.

" Such a beautiful name, just like her host." Kaden spoke softly as he shuffled over to her.

' He's so sweet.' Cana spoke within Lily's mind. Lily clenched her jaw and let of a quiet growl.

'Nice of you too show up! Where the hell have you been?' Lily called in her mind to her wolf, who whimpered in response to her.

' Sorry, Lily. I guess I was just pissed that you ran away from Kaden.' Cana whimpered to Lily.

'Well remember last time an Alpha called us 'mine', Cana. We were nearly raped.' Lily spat as she scrunched her face up. She felt Kaden's warm hand touch her cheek as she snapped out her trance.

" You alright, honey?" Kaden asked with a smirk, he knew she was talking to her wolf.

" Yeah, just Cana finally made an appearance after I... r-ran from y-you." Lily blushed, she scolded herself at the amount of times she has allowed her cheeks to redden.

" I see, so your wolf was against you running?" Kaden asked with a large smile at the new knowledge of her wolf not wanting to leave him.

" Yes, she is now shouting orders at me in my head saying that we are stay with you." Lily grimaced at Cana yelling in her head. Kaden chuckled softly as he pulled Lily into a tight embrace and kissed the top of her head. Cana instantly stop yelling inside Lily, who smiled and sank unconsciously closer to him.

" Better?" Kaden asked quietly, Lily replied with a gentle nod as she closed her eyes.

" I never thought I could bare to be in man's company again..." Lily whispered.

" The only company you will have from now on, will be my own. I promise you, Lily. No harm will ever come to you again, not while I am still alive." Kaden whispered to her soothingly. "Now, to address other... Problems."

" What... Other... Problems?" Lily asked pushing from his embrace to look at him with a worried expression.

" Nothing too serious. We just need to make you part of my pack, so that we can officially be together. The ceremony will take place tonight, as it is a new moon." Kaden spoke to her calmly, as if he planned it all out. "That is if you want to." Lily looked down to the carpet with a heavy sigh.

'Lily, I can't believe your thinking this over. He's our mate asking for us to spend the rest of our lives with him.' Cana spoke in her mind as Lily nodded.

'But what if he turned out to be like Alpha Cole? If he breaks our heart, I am sure we will never recover from it.' Lily reasoned with Cana.

' I see your point, Lily. I do, but I feel nothing but love coming from him. Lily, we can trust him.' Cana begged Lily to listen to her, Kaden stayed silent allowing them both to talk.

'Fine but... Trust is earned, not given.' Lily spoke to Cana as she turn to face Kaden with a serious look in her duel coloured eyes.

" Okay, I would like to become part of your pack. But Kaden, due to my past. I cannot fully trust you yet." Lily told him.

" By you placing 'yet' at the end of that sentence, mean there is a chance. And that, is all I can ask for." Kaden smiled loudly to her as he pulled her into yet another embrace, but this time. Lily could feel the difference, this embrace was not full of comfort; but love. In that instant, Lily's past no longer mattered to her. But what did matter too her was her future.
