Chapter Nineteen: New Beginnings

The Doctor turned around and sighed. He started to walk back when he heard a voice.

"You know you shouldn't have left her." The Doctor turned around to see Micah leaning on the rail. "She could've helped."

"Like I said, is too dangerous. Only I should be doing this. You shouldn't be in the TARDIS. I should kick you out and put you back on Earth."

"But you know you don't want to." Micah stubbornly crossed his arms. The Doctor knew he couldn't argue so he sighed.

"Fine. But you must know that this is very dangerous. And you might not make it." Micah just smiled and that gave the Doctor his answer. "Alright. Geronimo!"

The Doctor pulled down a lever and the TARDIS started to hum. Micah looked towards the window and thought about the real reason why he wanted to go back.

Allison's POV

I just stood there, dumbfounded. I had let Feliks die. It was my fault I sent him down this tunnel and he died because of me. I looked down at what made the pinging noise.

It was Feliks' ring. I picked it up and tears roll down my cheek. I slipped t on my ring finger and looked back at where Feliks had sacrificed himself for me. He stopped James and blocked off this tunnel. I would've stayed for hours but I knew the longer I stayed, the more danger I would be in. I looked back one more time and made my way to the exit.

I could see the exit. The harsh light blinded my eyes. I stumbled as more coughed erupted from my thought. (Yay, more advanced vocabulary.) I staggered my way out and saw the oh-so-familiar box standing there, in all her glory. I smiled and the Doctor leaned against it, smiling. God, was I happy to see him. His smile quickly faded as he looked at me.

"Allison, what happened?" The Doctor rushed towards me and helped me into the TARDIS. I gripped the railing so hard that my knuckles turned white. I could feel my hearts beating fast, to fight off the graver that was caused by radiation poisoning. I knew it would help but I couldn't stop them. I whipped the sweat from my forehead.

"Radiation poisoning flooded that tunnel. That's why the Cybermen would go there." I panted. My hearts felt like they are about to explode.

"Where is the boy that was with you?" I saw a man walk up the stairs. It was the same man the Doctor was with before. I look down, ashamed of what happened to Feliks.

"He-" I gulped. "He didn't make it. The radiation was too much and the roof collapsed and he-"

"You couldn't save him." The man's voice was cold.

"Micah show some respect. Allison just watched the boy die. If you watched an innocent die, you would be shocked."

"THAT BOY WAS MY SON!!" Micah screamed, tears glistening at the corner of his eyes. The Doctor just nodded. But then he did a double take. I did as well.

"What?" The Doctor asked.

"That boy, Feliks was my son."

"Since when did you know this?" I tried to look angry. Micah looked away, ashamed. "Feliks said his father left him."

"And that was the worst decision of my life. I was under so much stress and I didn't realize how it would effect Feliks. After I learned of him mother's death, I tried to find him but I never did. I only just realized this because part of me didn't want to accept the fact that I did find him." Micah took a deep breath.

"But now I'll never get the chance to." Micah looked at the TARDIS' doors.

"Let's go home." There was silence. Apart from my occasional coughs the two minute trip to Earth was still. The Doctor opened the door and Micah stepped out. I leaned inside the exit as the Doctor waved Micah and River goodbye. River did not look too happy. I swear they argue like a married couple.

After we said goodbye, the Doctor smiled.

"So where to now? You've been to America. How about Europe? What about Greece? I love Greece." He rubbed his hands together. I suddenly felt dizzy.

"Doctor," I breathed. "I need to get to a hospital or something. I don't feel go-" I suddenly fell. The room starting to spin and I felt nauseous. I felt the Doctor pick me up. He helped me to a chair.

"What happened?" I was hyperventilating. My lungs felt like they didn't work and my body felt like it was overheating.

"I. Didn't realize...that the tunnel was...flooded with radiation, poisoning. I didn't realize until it was too late." I gasped as I felt something inside me start to change.

Oh no

I knew what was happening. My body was too far damaged for repair. A pesky thing for Timelords is that we regenerate. But I don't want to change. I like who I am.

I gasped as a wave of pain and nausea waved through my body. I knew I was regenerating quicker than expected. I felt myself tip and before I could catch myself, I fell onto the floor. The bright orange walls didn't help either.

"No Allison, you're not dying on me!" I slapped him. He looked at me, his face filled with shock. "Um, OW!?"

"I'm not going to die you idiot. I'm like you, a Timelord. Remember?" I saw the Doctor think and then he realized that I was speaking the truth. He slowly nodded his head. I would've rolled my eyes but I clutched my side.

I put my hand out, motioning the Doctor to stand back. He gladly obliged. I gripped the handrail as I felt my body heat up. I looked at my hand to see the familiar gold glow of my regeneration energy. I stood up and spread my arms and legs, making my body star shaped. I looked at the Doctor who was, wisely, going into another room. I took a deep breath
as I said one last goodbye. And then the regeneration energy spread.

(A/N- so yeah. A new Allison!? Wow? I bet you're wondering what she'll be like. Well my pineapples, you'll find out in a week! Bye!)
