Ryan: Glad that you came

Ryan smiled as the person sat in front of him.

Jessica: I had to.

Ryan wanted to meet Jessica and the two had decided to do so somewhere else. It was a small cafe where no one knew them.

Ryan: I heard it.

Jessica was drumming her fingers on the table.
Jessica: So what did you decide?

Ryan: For the time being, it's a No. No one is agreeing with the proposal.

Jessica sighed. She wasn't surprised. She understood Maverick.

Jessica: Okay. Take your time. I hope I'll hear a different answer later.

Ryan: Why don't you have something?

Suddenly, Ryan's phone buzzed.

Ryan: What happened?

Alex: Where are you?

Ryan: Minnesota

Alex: Oh

Alex told Ryan everything about Pamela's situation and DDIA.

Alex: Do something.

Ryan: Got it! I'll handle it

Ryan hung up and looked at Jessica.

Jessica: What happened?

Ryan took Jessica to an empty arena.

Ryan: DDIA. Well, Jackson to be precise, had decided to overthrow the current DDIA. Liam was with Pam. He backstabbed her and went to help those corrupt people.

Jessica: Uhh! Let's go back to the agent days

She winked. Ryan smiled. Jessica called someone and within a couple of minutes, a jet landed there.

As planned, all the authority members except two were arrested. Those two were Oliver's parents who supported Jackson right from the beginning.

Maverick took a sip of his tea.

Mark: So somehow, the plan worked

Jackson: Exactly

Maverick looked at someone else.
Mark: Thanks for the cooperation

Jackson: I'll be taking care of DDIA now and I assure you we won't cause any trouble to Born Killers. I know Born Killers as well as Titans work for a good cause. You can take Pamela. Our contract ends here.

How was this cooperation formed?

*A couple of weeks ago*

Jackson: Agent 008, I know your truth. I thought about it, the escapes from Torture Cell and the fact that the traitor is a girl. You are the spy working for Born Killers.

Pamela was about to grab a hold of her gun.

Jackson: Oh and I have an offer for you

Pamela squinted her eyes.
Pamela: What?

Jackson took out a picture of Alex and placed it on the table.

Jackson: Get this man to work for me. I know only he can hack into DDIA's system with the right information.

Pamela: You can ask Jessica as well. She's quite good at Hacking.

Jackson: I don't wanna involve myself or DDIA with Jessica Kennedy. I plan to remove all the top authority members who are corrupt. I'll be asking for the top agents' help. You need to become my little spy and report situations within top agents, like who you suspect could be against the plan. In return, DDIA won't bother you or Born Killers once I take control.

Pamela: Boss Maverick is going to like this plan. But he's going to ask for something more in return

Jackson: What?

Pamela: Poison Ivy. Finish it off. Since it's right under DDIA, once you get the authority you can remove it.

Jackson: That's already on my bucket list

Pamela: Deal

Jackson: That Alex. He did a great job. But what's this situation with you, Jessica?

Jessica was there in Jackson's office with Maverick. She smiled.

Jackson: I still remember the day I had appointed you to enter his gang. A lot has happened between you two

Mark: And a lot is yet to happen

Jackson: What?

Maverick got up.

Jackson: About Poison Ivy, it'll be gone soon

Mark: And Lopez?

Jackson: Oh he's useful. I'll keep him.

Maverick nodded before stepping out of Jackson's office. Jessica sat back.

Jackson: I didn't expect you to help

Jessica: Well the Top Agent Squad isn't complete without Agents 001 and 007.

Jackson: But I thought you wanted revenge.

Jessica: You did that for me. I'll get going.

Pamela was already waiting outside the office. Jessica walked past her and Maverick. Pamela smiled at her.

Pamela: Can't believe I'm finally out of DDIA. I have never felt so free before

Mark: Good job. You made things easier by making that deal

Pamela: Well, I demand a party. There needs to be one!!

On her way to her apartment, Sophia called her.

Sophia(otp): When are you coming back?

Jessica (otp): Will take some time...

Sophia(otp): Underboss is back

Jessica had decided to stay back in New York. It was almost twilight when she reached her residence in New York.

She woke up hours later only to find her phone blowing up with several missed calls. Several people had called her. She smiled when she saw his name.

Mark (via msg): Can we talk?

Jessica smiled more when she read Sophia's message. She decided to depart for Washington the next morning.

*Next day*

???: Hey sexy!

Jessica parked her car and turned around.
Jessica: Laura!!!

There stood a woman who looked around Jessica's age. She was shorted than Jessica and had warm brown hair. She hugged Laura tightly. Laura Wilson, the UnderBoss of Titans, had gone to look after other branches overseas. Titans didn't have their branches only in the US but also in our neighboring countries. Laura is one of the major reasons why the gang reached the Top so soon.

Laura had cut all contact with the gang to be on the safer side which was known by Jessica only.

Laura is back and a party must be held to welcome her warmly. Titans arranged a party the next day and all the gang members were there, dancing their hearts out.

They all got drunk except Jessica. She was constantly checking her phone. Sophia came to her and sat on a chair facing her.

Sophia: Get yourself a man, Jessica

Jessica locked her phone and looked up at her.

Jessica: I'm better off single.

Sophia looked behind Jessica and her eyes widened.
Sophia: What... What is Maverick Williams doing here?!

Jessica widened her eyes. She felt happy as well as surprised.
She looked at Sophia and then looked in the direction Sophia was watching.

Jessica: I'm gonna kill you, Sophia.

Sophia laughed looking at Jessica's face.
Sophia: I know you want him here right now.

Jessica: Yeah whatever.

*On the weekend*

Laura: Are you sure about this?

Laura was having toast while Ian was surfing the internet.

Ian: I get negative feelings about this, Jessica

Jessica: I am sure. I believe him!

Laura: I know Jessica, you're emotionally attached to him. I know one of his texts nurtures you. But remember, he's the enemy.

So... Maverick Williams said something to Jessica Kennedy...

But what?

Finally, the day approached. The day Maverick wanted to meet Jessica.

Ian: We'll be waiting in the car.

Laura: Yes. Jessica, if you sense any danger, you know what to do, right?

Jessica nodded and got out of the car.
Maverick had asked her to meet him in the mansion in New York, where they used to stay.
Jessica, reluctantly, agreed to him. She didn't want to go back to the place where she had so many memories with Maverick.

Ian and Laura had decided to accompany her, while Enrique and Sophia stayed back in Washington. The three reached the New York private airport that was under their territory. They took a car to Maverick's house.

Jessica walked up to the gates of the mansion. She took a deep breath.
The guards opened the gates for her. She entered and walked slowly, keeping her eyes and ears open. She put her right hand inside the pocket.

It was the same place where Maverick and she had their first kiss. It was the same place where they had made love for the first time. It was the same place where they had so many happy memories...

She noticed the petunia flowers which she adored so much.

Mark: Surprise!

Jessica turned around and saw him standing with a bouquet in front of his face.

Jessica: You're back? But weren't you suppos-

Maverick pecked on her lips.
Mark: I'm here right now...

Jessica looked at the bouquet.

Mark: You love petunias, right?

Jessica's lips curved into a smile.
Jessica: How did you know?

Mark: You're my Queen, my world, Love. I should know everything about you

Jessica took the flowers and smelt them. She let the fragrance touch her soul.

Mark: Look there...

Maverick pointed outside. It was the back of the mansion.

Jessica: When did you...?

There were saplings of petunia planted. Maverick had ordered his men to do this without Jessica's knowledge while he was away for a meeting.

Mark: Do you love it?

Jessica admiringly looked at him.

Mark: What?

Jessica: Will you keep a request?

Maverick raised his eyebrows.

Jessica: I want us to grow old together, live peacefully, away from all chaos.

Maverick hugged her tightly.
Mark: Promise

Jessica tightened the grip.
Deep down she knew... Maverick would never love her after what she would do...

A thick teardrop fell down her cheek. She still replayed those happy memories in her head.

She knew she fvcked up...

She wiped the tear and walked forwards. Eventually, she reached the front yard of the mansion.

No one was there... Not a single human sound was heard.
Was it a trap...?
Jessica's heart beat rapidly.
Was it wrong to trust Maverick Williams? Did she risk everything... even the gang?

The door of the mansion opened. She saw a man.
Jessica walked up to him. It was one of her guards when she was in Born Killers. She walked inside with the guard.

Darkness filled the rooms as soon as the door was shut. She looked at her side but there was no one.
Jessica gulped. She held her gun tightly.

??: Welcome, Princess

Jessica turned her head, trying to locate the place from where the voice came.

A dim light was switched on and the light fell on the couch. Jessica looked at the person sitting on the couch.

Maverick Williams was sitting on the couch with one leg above the other, his arms spread out and his lips curved into a wicked smile. He was wearing a black suit with a bow instead of a tie. He had shaved his beard. The last time Jessica saw him in DDIA's building, he still had a beard.

Mark: How are you, Princess?

Jessica: What did you call me for?

Maverick let out a laugh.
Mark: Relax, dear. Don't be in such a hurry. I'm not letting you go anywhere.

Jessica: I asked the reason, Mark!

Mark: Uh no! Maverick Williams. Not Mark

Jessica took a deep breath. She sensed danger around her and she was worried about Ian and Laura.

Mark: Have a seat. I don't like my guests standing for a long time.

Jessica: I'm fine

Mark: I said SIT!

Jessica didn't move an inch. She crossed her arms and looked straight into Maverick's eyes. While Maverick was in formal attire, Jessica was dressed in leather pants, a white tee, and a leather jacket over it.

Mark: Jessica, are you worried about your right-hand man and Underboss?

Jessica squinted her eyes.
Jessica:What did you do to them?!

She walked closer to him maintaining the eye-contact.

Mark: They are safe, my dear
He rose from the couch and stood up. Jessica was only a few centimeters away from him.

Mark: Take out the gun and give it to me!

Jessica: I won't!

Mark: Obey me or Ian and Laura will be dead!

Jessica's heart was telling her that she made the wrong choice. She gulped and reluctantly handed the gun to Maverick. She cursed herself for trusting Maverick. She cursed herself for leading her friends to danger. She should've listened to Ian and Laura.

Jessica: What do you want?!

Mark: You'll see soon.

Maverick put his hand inside the pocket. Jessica expected him to take out his gun. He knelt and Jessica took a step backward.

Jessica: Are you...?

Mark: Will you marry me?

Jessica was stunned. He had a ring in his hand.

Mark: Let's be together, forever. This time for real.

All the lights in the room were switched on and the room was beautifully decorated.
Pamela: Say yes!!

Jessica was so lost that she didn't notice anyone. Everyone was there. Pamela, Alex, Albus, Mia, Ryan, Daniel... a woman beside him? And she was carrying a child?
They were already as if...

Jessica: What's all...

Maverick stood up and took a step towards her.
Mark: I want us to get married. Right here, right now.

The door opened. Jessica turned around. Ian and Laura stood there smiling. Laura nodded and whispered something to Ian.

Jessica looked at the ring and then looked at Maverick. She couldn't believe her eyes, her ears. The person she loved was asking her to marry him. The person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with was standing right in front of her waiting to hear 'I do' from her.
She had always dreamt of this day, the day when Maverick and her would get married.
She bit her lip trying to hold the happy tears which filled her eyes.
She slowly nodded.

Mark: I didn't hear you...

Jessica (voice shaking): Of course I do

Maverick put the ring on her ring finger. He held her hands and the two looked deeply into each other's eyes.

Pamela: Will you two stop staring at each other?

Laura: Hey come on! Kiss!

Jessica's face broke into a smile. Maverick cupped her face gently, closed his eyes, leaned closer, and kissed her softly on the lips. Jessica closed her eyes and reciprocated the kiss.

For the first time, she knew she had nothing to lose. She knew that she would never have to let go of the person she loved.

The butterflies in her stomach exploded and a sweet, golden warmth spread across her veins.

And she also knew that her final mission was accomplished.

Alex: Get yourself a room, Mark!

Everyone was shocked. They didn't expect Alex to say something like this.

Pamela: Alex, my dear. It's their day! They're gonna bang each other after a few hours.

Alex( whispers): How about I bang you tonight?

Pamela blushed and elbowed him on his ribs. Alex pretended to get hurt. Jessica finally broke the kiss.

???: Sorry? Are we late?

Everyone looked at the door.
Ian: You two?

Jessica: Sophia?! Enrique?!

Ryan: I called them

Jessica looked at Ryan unbelievably.

Mark: I told him to. This is a grand reunion. I want the members of both gangs to be present here.

Sophia walked up to Jessica.
Sophia: Hey sorry! By the way, congratulations girl!!!
Sophia hugged Jessica tightly.

Mark: Hey! My wife's gonna die out of breath

Enrique laughed and Sophia left her.

Sophia: Williams, I understand. I know she's your wife and you're gonna have her for the rest of your life.

Jessica: Can you all stop now?!

Daniel: Princess is shy...

Jessica: Oh shut up Uncle!

Jessica was happy to be with them. She finally felt that she was with her family, with the people she loved. She knew everything was set now...
