Chapter 12 ─ A Losers Reunion

━━━━━ HOLLY AND PRUDENCE stood outside the restaurant that they were supposed to meet everyone at. Holly was nervous to say the least given that all her memories were still distorted in her mind. The brunette looked over at her friend who looked back at her.

"Are you ready?" Prudence asked her.

"No, but I don't think we have a choice." Holly remarked.

Prudence nodded her head and pulled the door open allowing Holly to walk in. After that Prudence followed behind her. They came to a woman and told her what they had been there for, she led them to a private room. Prudence and Holly stopped at the entrance looking in to see old familiar faces.

"Hi." Holly called out causing them to stop their conversation.

"Hello." Prudence spoke waving at everyone.

Violet left Mike's side and walked over to the two women pulling them both into a hug at the same time. The two smiled and hugged her back, while Bill, Mike, and Eddie stared at them.

"It's good to see you Violet." Holly said, when they pulled away from the hug.

"Yes, it's good to see you two as well." Violet replied.

Holly moved away from the two, and proceeded to Eddie pulling him in for a hug. Eddie hugged her back. After that she moved on to Mike and hugged him, he hugged her back as well.

"I'm glad you came, Holly." Mike whispered in her ear.

"I know." Holly breathed out.

Then she made her way to Bill, he had been staring at her the entire time, it was like no time had gone by. Bill was the one to pull her into a tight hug, she placed her arms around his waist hugging him back tightly. Eventually they pulled apart.

"So, you're a fashion designer now?" Bill asked her.

"Yes I am. I mostly design Prudence's clothing in her movies or tv shows. I do red carpet appearances as well. When I'm not with her or my daughter I'm in different countries doing fashion shows." Holly explained.

"You have a daughter?"

"Yes, I do. She's four, about to turn five. Right now she's with Emerson, her dad and of course my dad."

"That's right, I do remember hearing about you two being a couple. It was a big deal over in California."

"Yeah, not anymore. We got a divorce about a year ago, he's still my best friend. But now he's dating Prudence and I actually like them together more than I liked him with me. But he's a good father and a good person and that's what matters."

"Yes, it does." After their conversation had come to a stop they gathered around the back of the table looking at the fish aquarium.

The gong banged, Holly turned around to see Richie, Beverly, and who she assumed was Ben standing together. The others turned around also to look at what she was looking at.

"This meeting of the Losers' Club has officially begun." Richie said.

"Look at these guys." Eddie said, with a smirk on his lips. Richie then pointed to Ben and mouthed his name, showing them a motion with his hands but stopped when Ben turned to look back at him.

They sat down at the table and food and drinks had been brought out to them. Prudence sat next to Eddie while Holly sat next to Richie and an empty seat was in between the two women. They leaned forward cheering as they clinked their shots and eventually drank them.

"So, wait, Eddie, you got married?" Richie asked, spitting his shot glass to the table.

"Yeah, why's that so fucking funny, dickwad?" Eddie asked him in return.

"What? To, like, a woman?"

Eddie lifted up one of his chopsticks and pointed it at Richie. "Fuck you, bro." His words caused Richie to laugh.

"Fuck you!"

"All right. What about you, Trashmouth? You married?" Bill went on to ask him.

"There's no way Richie's married." Beverly said.

"Yeah, that's the last thing he would probably do." Holly said, sending her friend a bright smirk.

"No, I got married."

"Richie, I don't believe it."

"When?"

"Did you not hear this?"

"No."

"You didn't know I got married?"

"No."

"Yeah, no. Me and your mom are very, very happy right now." Richie said, causing Bill to spit out his drink and everyone else to laugh hysterically.

"Yeah, very happy."

"He totally fell for it!"

"Fuck you."

"She's very sweet. Sometimes, she'll put her arm around me, and she'll whisper to me, she'll go..." Richie proceeded to imitate Jabba the Hutt, causing more laughter to erupt in the room.

"We all get it. My mom was a great, big, fat person."

"Shh."

"Hilarious. Hysterical."

More of the food that was in front of them had been eating, everything had seemed to calm down a little bit but they were all still catching up after 27 years.

"Wait, let's talk about the elephant not in the room... Ben. What the fuck, man?"

"Okay, okay. Obviously, I lost a few pounds." Ben replied.

"Lost a few pounds?"

"Yeah, no shit you lost a few pounds." Eddie said.

"You're, like a... You're hot!"

"That's true."

"No, you're like every Brazilian soccer player wrapped up into one person. Gorgeous." Holly and Prudence laughed in unison while Bill clapped his hands together at Richie's comment.

"Leave him alone. You're embarrassing him." Beverly said, her eyes on Ben.

"Okay, okay, all right. Please, come on. Is Stanley coming or what?" Ben asked, changing the subject. Suddenly the room became silent. Holly and Prudence looked to the chair that was empty and stood in between them.

"Stan."

"Stan..."

"Stan Uris."

"Stan Urine." Bill and Richie said at the same time.

"Stanley Urine. No, no he's a fucking pussy. He's not gonna show."

"Why would Stanley save you, anyway? Was I not the one who basically performed surgery on you after Bowers cut you up?" Eddie asked, placing his hand on Ben's shoulder.

"Yes!"

"Holy shit! That's right."

"Please tell me you ended up becoming a doctor, Eds." Beverly said, looking at the man.

"No, I ended up becoming a risk analyst." Eddie answered.

"Oh, that sounds really interesting. What does that entail?" Richie asked him.

"Yeah, so I work for a big insurance firm and uh..."

Richie started to pretend to snore, clearly finding it boring. Holly rolled her eyes at her friend. It was like nothing had really changed in the time that they had spent away from each other. They all pretty much started laughing while Eddie gave the man a stern look.

"Fuck you, dude. Fuck you."

"Was this job invented before fun?"

"Oh, that's so not funny."

"It is funny." Eddie then looked over at Ben who was still laughing.

"What the fuck are you laughing at?" He asked him.

Beverly lifted her beer in the air. "I propose a toast to the Losers." She said.

Holly grabbed her drink and lifted it in the other like the others did. They clinked their drinks together and took a sip, eventually continuing to talk and mess around with each other. After eating more food, everything had been cleared out and the waitress came back in the room with small plates and fortune cookies for them.
